I remember watching a review of this mod where the reviewer couldn’t find the cave opening, and instead blundered their way in through the Gagarin Landing entrance. Can’t remember who the reviewer was, though.
This was pretty good for a first mod. I get that the dirt and grime won’t be everyone’s preference, but this place was made to suit a less clean and shiny kind of character, iirc.
The dirt all over everything is a Creation Engine bug that has been there since Fallout 4. When a mod author places dirt, blood, burn decals on the ground, it not only drawn on the floor or ground, but everything that is set on top of that decal. There is no way to fix this bug, other than removing the decal, or just not using them in the first place. This issue with decals can completely break or ruin a mod and what the author was trying to create. Its something that BGS really needs to fix in the games engine, but I am guessing they just don’t care, as I said its been in Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Starfield. Thankfully its not an issue in Skrim SE or AE, so its built into the newer shaders in the newer games.
I’m pretty sure this was his first creation.I used to watch his YouTube videos. He does really nice work.
I love this, it’s got great atmosphere and feels lived in, def agree with having a way to clean up the trash and what not but only just enough so it doesn’t make it look too pristine lol
Downfallnemesis uses terminals in their player homes with options to disable or enable furniture per room. That’s the only method I have seen to allow the player to remove things.
Thanks to @ MillsBuilds for the MOD and to @Crimson for the review. A very cool POI for Gagarin, I was expecting those bugs from the Barrett quest. Nicely surprised that they didn’t shop up. I concur that it would be nice to be able to clean up the ‘site’ and remove the trash. But I’m not sure it’s possible cause I don’t mod.
Great mod review thanks.
nope ,that neon island mod compared to the neon island mod i have .isnt really comparable.why would i want to live in a cave ?
This made me think of Grognak the barbarian from fallout 4
Cool idea, would like it if you could indeed clean it up and make it in to a base.
Raggy filthy homes are more for FO not Starfield imo, I do not fly a 800.000 cred ship with 15 crew to come home to such a filthy cheap house, it just does not fit my gameplay.
This is a fun home mod, removed from the usual repacked building assets and offering a take similar to some of the smuggler cave PoIs you can find. IIRC the mod author said objects in the shooting range will respawn over time. Certain spots in the cave having plant life almost brings back the feeling of natural caves in Skyrim.
Coffee time! Nah, I have a ship. Nice try though. Great video.
Have you tried Shadows of the Past yet?
Very good effort and work on the mod. It is a straight up skitzer dope fiend cave though. Very filthy. Cleaning it would be an awesome quest, maybe finding the previous tenant and executing them for their doping ways. That way they cant sneak back in and pawn your stuff.
It’s a good mod. Akila Nomad cave is cool, too.
Nice mod. Seems lika a mod author worth checking out. Neon island looked really good. Btw congrats on 10k🎉
