It embarrasses me to admit how old my Star Citizen account is. I got swept up in the hype. The last time I logged in was when around the verse was screaming at the community that saying naughty things about the development is hateful to the project, while they cut the roadmap in half. The gaming computer I got to play the game on has gotten old and died. Honestly, I’m just waiting for it to close down. As it looks like it, very little has changed much.

star citizen is nothing but a storefront for 3d object NFT’s
in the time they fix one thing they add 2 new ships and 4 new features to the store.
and sure you can go into the bugfest and grind your ship.. but people like you do not count. if you disappeared the devs would just say another one bites the dust.
all thy care about are the whales that pay half a years wage for several ships. and the goons that donate as this just has to be the next big thing in the gaming world despite that has not been and never will be the case..
if the devs by now have no changes their stripes they never will. besides they are making bang for their buck continuing riding the copium of players they scammed.
emotional investment is a bitch to be sure.
starfield is alright i got my worth out of it.. never bought the dlc nor will i. played it for 50 hours so one buck twenty an hour is fine for entertainment at least there is not a grind with barely any rewards like star field.
the best still is NMS so many features a new player can be busy for several months.

Not sure we played the same starfield. The planets are empty. There’s little to do in space. If i wanted fps game i wouldn’t play a space game.

Don’t forget the living ships in no man’s sky. Yeah the Corvettes are AWESOME, but the idea that your ship can be a LIVING CREATURE is wild. Maybe they can expand that aspect in the future also. People who watched Farscape know what I mean 😎

    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

As for Starfield you are way too kind.
Yes Starfield has enjoyable parts, however it has way more disappointments than joy in it.
First of all, in Starfield, you cannot fly your ship. You don’t get closer to anything. Flying is basically loading screen teleportation.

You want to get into a building? -> loading screen
You want to get into your ship? -> loading screen
You want to fly your ship? -> loading screen
You want to fly to another planet? -> loading screen
You want to land on a planet? -> loading screen
You want to use public transport? -> loading screen

Compared to this where do you see loading screen in NMS? When you travel between solar systems hidden behind an interactable animation.

What other big problems are there with Starfield?
    -Stupid quests.
    -Stupid npcs.
-Planet Earth was evacuated, yet Akila city and the other big cities only holds around 100-500 people. All around the systems there’s no more than 3000 people at max.
-There are supposed to be unexplored planets, yet every planet has a few camps and people on it. Also every camp looks the same 3-4 types.
-Planet Earth lost it’s atmosphere, yet no real ruins anywhere.
-Lore failure: Who built the artifacts and temples, and WHY???

    etc….

This is just a little small list of the problems. From someone who actually liked the game.
However whether I like it or not, I still have to address the problems.

As I said, you were way too kind.

Star Citizen is a Ponzi scheme, not a video game. Starfield is a role playing game that doesn’t allow the player to make any meaningful choices. No Man’s Sky is a open world sandbox that is always evolving. The only connection is space. The three games have nothing else in common.

starfield is very much skyrim in space. same exact flaws. I enjoyed the side quests and the ship combat for a while… the rest was meh. base building was a massive missed opportunity. base building had fantastic bones, that went completely to waste.

I play Starfield, NMS, Elite Dangerous and StarCitizen. StarCitizen since 2013 and i have the feeling that you Not really informed or playing SC.
Starfield is a Game of Loading Screens. It is on last place of these Games.
Elite is always the same but still Not Bad.
NMS is a beautifull Exploration and crafting Game.

But not a single game gives you the feeling like SC.
And the progress in the last 12month shows you, that it goes towards the finals.
For few month the Game runs great and almost no Bugs.
Runs better than many Games which are already released

Chris Roberts has consistently stated that the main development priority is Squadron 42.
While Star Citizen shares its core technology with SQ42, the current focus is on completing Squadron 42 first, which is now expected to release in 2026.
Once SQ42 is out, the studio’s attention will gradually shift toward completing Star Citizen’s full persistent universe.

This information can be found in CIG’s financial reports.

    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

No Man’s Sky = Love it. Star Citizens = Love it but yes it is always pushing a space MMO. SQ42 is the RPG. But Starfield was just a lie. “that is not just a picture of a Moon you can fly to it.” but when they did it was just a picture of a Moon.

No man’s Sky is a space coop Minecraft VR love. Starfield is a Single player game that using small explorable areas on Starfield’s planets are relatively small, often a few square kilometers at a time… Star Citizens is Like i just fell out of my ship in low orbit. and am burning up on entering the atmosphere. it like How are they running a game like this for 12 years. and not just spending money but making money. each day you can see how much they are bringing in everyday on the website.

    • @TheNopeTrain
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

Honestly, my only issue with NMS is how needlessly massive it is. I feel like it could achieve everything it is now with only 1 galaxy instead of the 200+ that it has, but that’s just my opinion. Take NMS as it is now, scale it down to a single galaxy, have a handcrafted “main-story” with unique NPC’s, maybe throw in a few handcrafted “side-stories”, and give use NPC companions that can serve as our crew for ships but that can also follow us on the ground (limit it to a squad of 3 like Mass Effect). That would my perfect space game.

Realistically, I just want NPC companions for my corvette / have a squad follow me on the ground and greater customization for frigates. Frigates don’t need full interiors like corvettes have but I’d love it if we could build our own frigates.

So, i should buy No Man’s Sky?

    • @tommyb6611
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

6:10 I’m not sure where you get the “proper” exploration and “proper “role playing”
    It’s very limited and repetitive.
The whatever number of planets you mention aren’t much of anything, empty efficng space repeating same dozen or so preset situations. You will encounter the same “random dungeons, the same “random” events over and over.
They manually build a dozen or so of such cases that will e found on every planet and moon.
After you maxed out and can land safely on some very deep frozen moon, where there is literally NOTHING for anyone, just very deep freeze, you will find yourself encountering a small npc colony. Colony is too strong, because there’s like 2 or 3 “homes” WTF, there is no water, no food, no air… why are they there?! That’s your role play and exploration.
Then you have the same bloody animals that you found on a planet on the other side of the space map on some moon.
And they’re only acting as a silly horde, always hordes, nothing.
And then we reach the actual problem.
A complete lack of content. The main planets of each main faction have just a single settlement, which is modest in size for each of them The cowboys faction is literally an agrarian town with the influx of tech they receive through plot armor….the faction that was said to have made giants mechs (and be great at that ) live in a bloody mud hut. No sign of anything even close to their reputation.
These main factions home planets should’ve been at minimum similar to the earth of todaym with thousands of cities and a lot of high tech infrastructure, with hundreds of millions if not billion population each of said core planets, plus extra hundreds of millions in secondary planets and even more in various space stations.
Literally the content of starfield is less than 1% of what should’ve been given, especially for the severe high price they ask for it.

I really like Starfield, but I get why most gamers don’t. I just wanted more of everything. They made a decent environment for an open world game, but the open world gameplay is a bit sparse. And obviously, the too-many-loading-screens thing is a problem that breaks immersion and flow for a lot of players.

Just for a quick perspective here.. No mans sky has released more than 30 FREE updates since 1.0 release in 2016 and is objectively the best space sim on the market.. They’re also working on a whole new game which hopefully should be out by next year.. conversely, Star citizen has cost more than 800 million dollars and after 13 YRS of development, they are STILL IN ALPHA.. whatever they are doing they shouldn’t be in the games industry… they clearly don’t care about their supporters… and to top it off their game runs like ass.. what a scam…

    IMO
StarCitizen is a beautiful interactive experience with few similarities to a game. It’s a great spaceship piloting simulator, with a great interactive experience that has the potential to be a good game in the future.
Starfield is a Bethesda RPG, nothing more, nothing less. It’s not necessarily a spaceship simulation game. It’s on a similar level to Star Wars Outlaws, for example. If you’ve played Freelancer, it’s almost a super-improved Freelancer with more gameplay outside of the spaceships.
Both Starfield and Starcitizen are based on the real world and the laws of physics. They are closely related to the world we understand today and extrapolate that to what we can achieve in the distant future.
No Man’s Sky is quite different from them. In many ways. It doesn’t fit many of these definitions. It’s definitely not an RPG, nor is it a simulation game (since simulating something requires being connected to the laws of physics we experience in our reality). NMS escapes reality, being much more of a metaphysical and mystical experience than a conventional Sci-Fi experience. Themes like the creation of the universe, divinity, metaphysics, and parallel realities are much more present here than in the others. NMS is too unique to fit these definitions; it’s practically infinite (if your goal is to see everything there is to see), especially since Hello Games packed the game with so much content that players can take completely different paths as they follow the game’s countless missions and activities. NMS may not have a perfect, compelling, or innovative story, but its mission deliveri hours and hours of exploration.

I played a lot of Starfield and NMS, so my opinions on StarCitizen come solely from the videos I’ve seen.

For me, No Man’s Sky was like Minecraft when that game first came out. Yeah, it was a bit bare boned but I enjoyed what it had to offer at the time before moving onto the next game.
And just like Minecraft, I kept coming back to experience what was being added with new updates and expeditions.
Now, it’s still one of my favourite games when I just want to relax and explore and build.
Last week, I was building a huge castle from 80,000 blocks in Minecraft. This week, with the voyagers’ update, I’m building a starship from parts I’ve excavated myself. It’s incredible, and I think this expedition is one of my favourites.

i really like star field only disappointment was the base building even compared to FO 4 its not great , i expected it would at least have the same level of base building as their previous title.

    • @DPendrillion
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

Sorry I disagree with your analysis and how your perceive Star Citizen. But you do you. Its an Alpha, yes. But its gone past Techdemo in the past 2 years. Is it easily accessible by casual gamers? No. Is it in many parts experimental? Of course. Are there bugs. Not as many as there used to be. And we went from a crashing game every Hour or so. To mostly stable game play. At least that is when you have enough Internet bandwith and a PC that can carry some load.

    • @panmac8540
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

IMHO you nailed it with NMS and SC but Starfield is a different beast. Yes, it’s not as bad people want you to beliefe it is but it’s not what many Bethesda fans wanted either. The closest thing you can compare it to is Skyrim, Oblivion or Morrowind and every single of these games did things way better than Starfield. Compared to the previous games from Bethesda it just is bland and uninspired even feels way smaller than the others. Compared to SC it’s a masterpiece, no doubt but SC is so far below every standard in the industry it’s not even funny anymore. You can still have fun in Starfield, thats why i played it for 100ish hours but it’s relly not my cup of tea compared to what Bethesda already put out two decades ago and that is why Starfield is a letdown for most people.

    • @madquest8
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

SC is 100% a scam LOL It will never be finished, because people just pour money into it like a bottomless pit. His wing commander games were great, but you will never see another, because why should he bother.. he can sell dlc and skins forever to fools in SC. I feel so sorry for them, many have sunk so much cash they will never be able to leave… they are committed to paying for nothing… forever…

    • @ThreeGoddesses
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

I think Starfield DOES get a worse rap than it deserves, but lets not pretend like its the golden standard out of three games. I think you are maybe being a little disingenuous about how good the game actually was; its story was relatively bare bones, exploration only mattered on planets where there was a questline (the vast amount of exploration being done on empty spaces, because AND I QUOTE “When the astronauts went to the moon, there was nothing there. They certainly weren’t bored.” which completely falls flat on its face; the astronauts weren’t bored on the moon because THEY WERE DOING A FUCK TON OF SCIENCE) because the studio wanted every planet to evoke a sense of vast emptiness (I WISH I was joking). The dialogue was also kind of meh, and the biggest disappointment I ever had in the game was learning that the actual amount of storylines in the game was like… 4? The corpo story, the military/pirates, the rangers, and the main story. I think. All of which felt far too short, and some of them were so bugged that I had to download a mod that let me continue quests by skipping bugged steps without hurting my achievements otherwise the questline was completely bricked. The corpo story was especially bad, but there was a few side quests that relied on NPCs that would regularly fall out of the map or spawn 10km out of the city.

I did enjoy starfield, but beyond how much of it is technically “finished”, I would argue its actually the worst experience out of the three games.

    • @sliceofheaven3026
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

I think no mans sky proves how a much smaller company can produce amazing content withouth the need for heavy monetization in the form of ship selling and at this point decases long development before the game is actually even launched. Over 800 million in cash and Star Citizen is still a one system game with multiple game content loops missing.

    • @Moonwalker-Guy
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

I played Starfield for a long time. In the end, it was just frustrating because the reward system doesn’t work. You’re not supposed to get rich. I have goods and resources worth billions, but the merchants only have thousands. They don’t even have enough money to buy back your ship. Ridiculous.

Dont tell me that i dont know the disappointment of starfield with well over 100 hours in the game. The setting, the characters, and the writing are boring. The planets are not interesting to explore. There are some okay elements, some cool stuff, but it is still a disappointment. Luckily, Star Wars Genesis is fixing some of the issues of the game.

    • @matthewgumabon7498
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

One thing I really like about No Man’s Sky and its developer, Hello Games, is that the focus really is just having fun.
The flight model is basic and arcadey, but it makes exploring effortless. No studying manuals and fiddling with the controls just to get into space.
The visual style is unrealistic and and cartoony, but it makes discovery more interesting and lively. Unlike our real universe, No Man’s Sky’s universe is not just not cold and dead in every direction.

The game is not an MMO, and the multiplayer is weak, but you can play the whole game in offline single player pretty much forever without the fear of servers shutting down or the devs killing the game. The sandbox settings let you make the game as easy or as hard as you want and even disable any mechanics you don’t enjoy.

Sure, these things turn off the die hard space sim fans, but I guarantee you that there are way more “casual” space fans out that that just want a fun game to play, and not a second job online stacking virtual boxes.

For me to go back to No Man’s Sky for real content. Something that makes me want to explore this galaxy. I don’t need contemplation, but I admit that the planets are very beautiful, but I need more civilization and more campaigning. A complete survival system for challenging space and terrain fights. Faction systems and intergalactic wars. Logistics, combat, and mining missions with high rewards. PvP and galactic domain zones that give you benefits for you and your faction. Where you have to compete for that system with other factions of players. They could turn the stars into ring zones that the closer the player gets, the closer to the center, the more challenging the game is, but the greater the rewards, and they can find the greater probability of PvP in the game that could fight for dominance of the key system. They could decrease the chances of jumping between systems to create a corridor of a galaxy that has arms of stars. You can only advance towards the center if you advance through the arm, forcing PvP. Just an idea of what they could do to make the game more attractive to other audiences who like space games. Of course, there is a lot to be refined.

Though youtubers use the click bait on starfield, starfield is genuinely awful and i did play for more than a minute. Im a huge bethesda fan i have played skyrim alone for thousands of hours on multiple consoles across multiple generations and same with fallout. And i was a bit hyped for starfield but then it came out and it was fun for the first few hours but then i realised it’s as wide as an ocean but as shallow as a puddle. Its a bit same for no mans sky ive played it since 2016 and its wide as an ocean as shallow as a puddle but the devs put so much love into whats in it and between the two i am physically repulsed by the thought of downloading starfield and the thought of restarting in that game is horrid but im alright downloading no mans sky and playing a new save… that being said ill never go near star citizen that has scam written all over it

    • @JVMMauro
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

Starfield proves that this generation of players suffers from brain rot and if the game is not a graphic perfection it is no good. Even if it has tons of content and a complete RPG system, even though it has flaws, it does. It is one of the largest modding communities. Second only to Fallout and Skyrim. This amazing community has created a new game in Fallout. I just saw an in-progress mod of the full world of The Elder Scroll. So no, no one can top Starfield. Because we have a community like no other.

Popular games of the space sim are obviously NMS and SC, but also X4 foundations and Elite Dangerous.

How you can roleplay in game where all options lead to the same outcome? How you can say that there is good exploration if you have 5-6 types of places randomly generated in box of world that you generated during landing? Most of starfield critizism is based on actual game. It woudlnt be such a big topic if only people who didnt play it critizied it. What is misunderstood about this game? Game with nonsensical economy, boring exploration, sh1ty story, awfull gunplay.
WHAT DO YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT? You literally lying. You praising BIG cities? Those cities that were critizied for being small bland settlement with one or three actual building and bunch of NPC without any purpose? You praising gunplay… the same gunplay that is so tedious, boring, unstatisfying that people turn on lowest diffuculty just to skip that part of the game?

Ok ok. I think i get it where you come from. You are someone who liked space games. You dig deep into star citizen. The game was bland, boring, and repetetive. Then you went to… second game in your entire life? Starfield. And it amazed you beyon comprehesion bc before that you played only “barely even a game” and starfield is an actual game with stuff to do. But you dont have actual experience and you dont understand how bad starfield actualy is. And that its WORST game from bethesda. Worse even that fallout 76 that should never exist in the first place.

Star Citizen is a moneymaking scam, Starfield has potential but knowing Bethesda they will let modders do all the work and the modders work will be higher quality than Bethesda’s, No Man’s Sky actually respects the player and gives us what we want

Bro Starfield did disappoint, their writing was mediocre, gameplay was also mediocre, the whole thing felt like they did what they normally do but all their great devs left and they only had mediocrity left. The told us initially it was gonna be Skyrim in space, they gave us a loading screen simulator with little exploration potential. 15 years ago Bethesda was giving works of art, compared to what they to gave us in 2023, the games were still unpolished and janky but modders can fix very easily. What is harder or impossible to fix is bad writing and bad systems that felt like they gave up trying halfway through and just slapped something together to get it finished. We cannot pull punches with these devs, as soon as you give them an inch they will take a mile. I for one miss the days when game development was an art not a service.
I am not a YouTuber many people feel the same way I do, because they are objective facts. If you liked Starfield you don’t really remember what it was like back in 2010-2015 in gaming. 1990-2015 was basically the golden age. Before big business and Karens got their hooks into the industry.

Only problem I have with nms is the devs can’t get the game to work properly only videogame I know that drops a patch to fix a patch but every patch adds new bugs and bugs that never get addressed and hope ppl will forget about them like capes and built in mic support etc and the game is very repetitive even after the updates there’s really no point of interest and a copy n paste universe like the guy in this video is showing footage idk what system what galaxy what planet that is but yet I’ve seen it a million times same goes for buildings NPCs and animals you will see the same thing over n over no matter how many billions light years you travel

    • @l00neyville
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

I had high hopes for Starfield but was very disappointed. The fps combat felt wonky, immediately bossed around by a woman. Refunded.
Later I got a pirate copy to see if I made a mistake, ship combat was dps battle, the story is bland and weak. Women in charge everywhere. There is no real exploration, once you visit one dungeon you visited them all. Everything is procedurally generated, no handcrafted content that Skyrim is famous for. Only the ship building was the fun part of the game.
I did the main story, 40+ hours the game is still bad. I’ve given up on elder scrolls 6 since the same people will be making that game.

The truth is Starfield was in development for seven years costing 200million. No Man’s Sky was intially developed for four years with an initial estimated cost of 7million. NMS is still being developed with free updates and expansions regularly released.

Star Citizen has been in development for 12 years costing 800 million dollars and counting. Despite what its delussional backers (victims) say it will never be released. They’re in too deep to admit that they’ve been scammed and their 800million game nothing but a shiny tech demo.

The first two are actuall released games while the latter is Chris Robert’s ATM.

    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

I got No Man’s Sky on a steam sale for ten bucks. I return for pretty much every update and expedition, and sometimes I stick around for 6 months at a time. I can play it on my Gaming PC, my lower end gaming laptop and even integrated ryzen graphics. I cant remember the last time a had a single bug that was more than graphical or a minor issue. I can build amazing ships for zero real life money. I can find crashed ships, repair them and add them to my fleet. I can explore planets and derelict ships to get free corvette components.

Starfield was fun for a while. I recently installed the Genesis game overhaul and now it is a full Star Wars RPG. I have Mando armor and my own version of the razorcrest… for zero real life money. I can steal ships, which I love. It has potential, but overall it was a big let down without mods.

A friend talked me into getting Star Citizen, and using his code. I bought the 45$ starter ship and found out it was during an update where almost nobody could even log in for a full month. When I finally got into the game it ran like garbage with an I9, 32g of ram and an RTX 4070. Constant game breaking bugs. My friend felt so bad, and wanted me to play with him so bad he gifted me a Constellation Taurus. I have never even bothered flying it. He has spent thousands of dollars on a game he no longer plays. I disputed the charges from when I bought it because of not being able to even log in for 28 days. It cost me zero dollars, and that is the value it has to me… nothing.

For my money its No Man’s Sky without question… I am not a fan of the multitool… I prefer a variety of weapons, but that is just my preference.

Crazy that a game that revolves around ships, would toss out any concept of a viable flight model. Which was touted during early development – those infamous Newtonian Physics that don’t exist. They never properly made core functions and established universal rules. That’s why every ladder has to be programmed individually, and unrelated systems break every single patch. Poor coding with no clear direction

Starfield = Lore Heavy Space RPG, with some creative elements, worlds are few and handcrafted with immense quality, and great handcrafted storylines.
NMS = Sandbox game through and through, allowing you to be Creative, Crafting, Exploring a large universe.
Star Citizen = Tries to combine NMS and Starfield. Has some impressive elements and tech behind it, but its not a regular gaming experience. Its a forever in progress game.

Let’s not forget that nms isn’t monetized. It’s a one time buy. All updates are free. It can be buggy, but they eventually get fixed, and the exploits are politely left intact. My only complaint? I wish multiplayer were more robust, but the introduction of the corvettes, where you and your buddies can finally be on a starship together, run missions, skydive into gas giants, also resulting in greater ease keeping tabs on each other instead of chasing down a tiny marker several mountains away… man, this recent update is really something. And kudos to the thunderbird model corvette components. I’ve built myself a nice Eagle-5 from Spaceballs.

    • @First_Chapter
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

Data miners looking at No Man’s Sky have found suggestions a new Expedition will drop today (3rd) as well as evidence of further ‘corvette’ ship-build parts coming. One part is a three seat cockpit (similar to e.g. a Constellation); another looks like a large, multi-station bridge deck. Also references suggesting we may get up to eight capital freighter ships possible. Take with a grain of salt but it will be good to see what happens.

Never tried Starfield but have a few thousand hours in Elite Dangerous, No Man’s Sky and Star Citizen. Feel no need to defend any tribally since I’m not on the payroll of any. Star Citizen’s vision I backed almost 10 years ago is not the development direction now and it’s not a direction I want – but that’s not as fundamental as SC not even working for me since 4.x / Launcher 2.x (and CIG support cannot resolve this). The SC experience means I never, ever consider crowd-funding or early access now. The (only) strength of SC is the ship models. ED lost me for a few years when Odyssey introduced FPS and performance tanked but returned to look at system colonization and am back into the game. It can get grindy but the strength of ED is the flight. In NMS have done everything over the years and so pause periodically but keep going back as expeditions drop and new content is added and so there is something fresh to investigate. The strength is the frequency and quality of the free new updates. The latest ship-building update is a real beauty. Have built a Cutlass, Vanguard and more.

    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:56am

There’s no point to add Starfield into this comparison. It doesn’t fit into this genre in any way. Only common thing it has with others is that you can also build space ships in it. In everthing else NMS can be compared to Star Citizen as they’re same genre in many aspects – space faring, space exploration, planet exploration, online service, multiplayer and single player game and so on. Starfield is simply a single player sandbox RPG (though it’s RPG elements are questionable) but it isn’t anything like other two. There’s no real space faring or exploration as you don’t explore the space, it’s just a loading area between randomly generated land maps or “planets”. So yeah, drop Starfield from that line-up as it simply doesn’t fit in it, it sucks in other fields already.

As for space game, survival games, base building – NMS is good, does well and keeps doing well. HG keeps good relationship with their customer base and all of this will, in a long run, benefit their new game Light No Fire as well. Both the technology that they create, test and improve in NMS and later add to LNF, their relationships and so on. Personally I’m waiting for LNF with great impatience, but in a good sense – I really do want to play it, but I also hope that HG works on it well and releases it when it’s ready, not before.

I played star field from start and it was fun .. sidequest that really was interesting ( actually better than main quest) and some really incredible vistas and creatures and points of interest..
nms wow yes not the rpg depth of SF but the sheer things to do with bases, simple storylines and time limited expedtions .. new tech tied into stories .. and just exploring.
SC i so much wanted to love this bought a client package and nearly everytime i start i waste 1/2 to 1 hour on either wipes or bugs on my precious game time.. the gfx are gorgeous but empty.. and then the griefers and gangers getting extremely annoying.. i think its because of their frustration

    • @frankindabank
    • 2025年 9月 08日 9:57am

I have to disagree with the point that Star Citizen has no progress yet. Earning new ships and building a fleet is the progress system there. Buying different ships unlocks different game loops. So I always have a feeling of progress when buying a new ship. Unfortunately that is also the problem, because CIG doesn’t care about database stability as a priority and so you can lose whole ships in between updates without compensation. This can be extremely frustrating, because you can lose the progress of months if you lose some expensive ships…. It happened only once to me, but at that time I really wanted to just uninstall.

I don’t expect thousands of hours out of every game i buy, which i think is why starfield gets it a little too rough. Hydroneer is great, but i challenge anyone to put 1000 hours into it. Satisfactory is also a great game, but how many times can you beat it before you get tired of it and what to try something else?

Even the Palworld devs said that they don’t expect palworld to be the only game you play, but they would like you to stop by and play every now and again, and set the game up how you want to play it, so that you have fun. As not everyone has the time or willpower to play doom on nightmare mode every time they sit down and play a game.

I turned on no nagging companions immediately, installed one to ensure Andrea was more shapely, and ignored the awful temple main quests and set out to explore and live my own story, and have been having a blast playing (at least until I discovered NMS recently, so it’s on hold for now). The Watchtower mod is effectively the DLC Starfield didn’t get from Bethesda it’s so good, and I highly recommend, and the DarkStar mod rebalances perfectly so that difficulty can be really high. The gun play and combat is by far the best of these three games, markedly better than SC or NMS, so for all its flaws, this is still a fine game and experience. You can easily sink 100hrs into this and have a great time, people just expected too much, and also expected Bethesda to raise their game and show more ambition in design than they unfortunately did.

I’ll skip NMS and slip into light no fire when its live, if the co-op is good
NMS looks good, but imo the graphics are nothing on SC
In the meantime Enshrouded, Cyberpunk, Star Citizen and when the Genesis mod is finished, i will savour Star Wars Genesis Starfield

Starfield was one of the biggest disappointments in gaming history. The scope, the narrative, the gameplay, the incessant loading screens, all of it failed. Maybe only SC has the potential to outfail Starfield.

I haven’t played MNS yet though. Looks cool

You are the First person that likes NMS and also Starfield that I’ve seen 😅

My idea of a perfect space game is a massive multiplayer PVP version of Kerbal.

I disagree with Starfield. The story was so bad my interest was gone after 2-3 hours and I hated it and could never go back. I tried a few times but just hated the story, hated the characters and just got more disappointed until I was done. There was no sense of wonder or exploration. No sense of caring for any of the companions…or even for myself for that matter.

You’ve seen the fight with the new Hive Lord boss (worm) in Helldivers 2?
now compare it to the worm in the Valakkar SC…
and the Valakkar worm took much more money and time and the result is just crap. CIG does not make a game, they just earn money, spend the budget.

have to say, i have played starfield, i have just under 100 hours in it, beyond the main missions, there is no real story. there was alot of promise in it, but bethesda dropped the ball with that one. the ‘many worlds’ to explore are scattered with what is best called “weak procedeural slop” events. and dispite the reviews for “replay value” when you realize your choices result in very little it loses its appeal. Agree with you on everything else though.

Because of you I recently got NMS and I feel like I am living inside a child’s coloring book. I can see how someone would like it considering how smooth and friendly it is but it doesn’t give me true void space vibes like eve online or SC.

Mostly false promises. 1000 developers and very little progress, most ships still incomplete, no physics, just tables of numbers, ships move slower than a WWII plane. Exploration is practically non existent. 6 years+ and most ground vehicles still don’t exist. An unworkable inventory system full of bugs, no trading information except for community driven online spreadsheets. High end trailer videos showing false/fake possibilities. Just look at the difference in personality between CR and SM, who would you trust with your money?

Both starfield and NMS have loading screens. Star citizen does not. Fully seamless.

    Remember,
Chris Roberts promised in 2012 what Squadron 42 would be like, then Star Citizen Persistent Universe to be released in 2014, then 2016 in conjunction with 42. In 2016, Star Citizen revealed at Citcon what would follow including that famous sandworm.

NMS released a trailer in 2014, and announced it’s fateful release in 2016. After this, CIG took off, due to promises from Chris Roberts what was to follow…

And fast forward to 2025. Now NMS players can replicate fully functional, flyable Star Citizen ships…for free! They can also pilot them freely above any atmosphere above any planet, then skydive into atmosphere or into oceans to swim in at will. This is the truth today, folks.
