Starfield Ship Building Guide – TAC-24 Azura | Small Bounty Hunter Ship Build
This is my 41st Starfield ship building guide.
The TAC-24 Azura represents a significant evolution within CVL Spaceworks’ formidable Tactical Assault Craft (TAC) series, serving as the second dedicated assault fighter and a sister ship to the acclaimed TAC-18 Pincer I. Unveiled to a discerning market, the Azura quickly established itself as a premier choice for independent operators and, most notably, a favored instrument among bounty hunters operating across the Settled Systems.
While the TAC-18 Pincer I set a benchmark for swift interdiction and aggressive pursuit, the Azura was conceived with a subtly different, yet equally lethal, combat philosophy. CVL Spaceworks engineers aimed to address the Pincer I’s limitations in sustained engagements and target suppression, leading to a design that prioritized durability and overwhelming firepower. Consequently, the Azura boasts a marginally lower top speed compared to its predecessor, a deliberate trade-off that is more than compensated by its enhanced combat capabilities.
The TAC-24 Azura’s reputation among bounty hunters is not accidental. Its rugged construction can withstand significant punishment, a necessity for the often-unpredictable nature of high-value target acquisition. The combination of its potent armaments and precise handling allows pilots to dictate the terms of engagement, whether systematically dismantling a target’s defenses or executing a surgical strike to disable propulsion systems. For those who prioritize overwhelming presence and the assurance of mission completion over raw, unadulterated speed, the Azura has become the definitive choice, cementing its status as a legend in the hunting circuits.

This thing is so sick! Small fighters are one of my favorite ship types to build in this game. The only things I would change would be to swap the positions of the front landing gear and the rear landing bay (I LOVE the way the Nova bay looks under the HopeTech cockpit), as well as to use different engines. I don’t care for the red glow from the X-Wing engines. Personally, I think replacing the entire side pod assemblies with the engine assemblies from the Antares Starfoundry mod/Creation would look sick! Just personal preference, though.
Great build and video as always, CVL!
What mod do you use to just place parts anywhere
Inspiration taken from a certain Elite Dangerous content creator…….
@cardinal151515 Do you have any small Va’ruun fighter builds? For some reason Va’ruun are only given a small amount of ships while the other factions have huge fleets of ships.
Midway through the build this easily could have turned into the hurricane from Star Citizen. Love it.
These intros just keep getting better and better man. Amazing editing
What are you doing to ignore the necessity for glitch building?
Another excellent ship but I am faced with the same dilemma as all the CVL or Lindan ships I want to build. I’ll look at them and think, that’s great but wouldn’t it be better if it were 10 times larger? It’s almost funny how every single one of my bounty hunter ships is the size of an Imperial class Star Destroyer.
Awesome job as always. I look forward to your builds, as well as building them myself.
Thank you for the lore that you attach to each ship! Nice touch
The engine parts looking good…
I don’t like small boats, but this is awesome!
How did you do the shot of it flying over the planet surface? That’s so cool
Wow this is an awesom looking ship Vin!
great work on this!
the wing design is chefs kiss!!
Thank the Internet Gods…. Finally! Thanks for the damn good work!
