There’s definitely a group of fans for Starfield that, in my humble opinion, are struggling with denial at this point. I don’t think Starfield is absolutely dead in the water, but some of the fans of the game that think it was fantastic (to each their own), while disappointed at the no-show, are holding out hope that there are big things on the horizon. When that inevitably doesn’t happen, they’ll lament that Starfield was never given a chance to thrive.

But it did. During development. It had it’s chance to have a better design, but they chose to stick to a misguided whiteboard bullet point. If people love the game, great, but it’s pretty obvious to most people what the end of this will be.

If a game is dropping on Game Pass at its release…. that should tell us all something… look at the new Doom Game..

Sometimes an idea is so flawed from the start there’s no reason to try. Bethesda making a video game is such a flawed idea, there is no way for them to do a good job. Like it’s Bethesda. I was a teenager the last time they made a good game.

Starfield would have been interesting if it had that 70’s sci-fi art style there’s a game like that it’s called invisible it has that retro futuristic theme but i think people Will call it fallout in space and above all it needs good writing cause it’s boring

The game has over 5k players every day on steam. That is far from dead. I can’t wait for BGS to prove all you haters wrong

The modding is saving it tho… Having so much fun with messing around 😂 and there are much more fans than you think.

As a bethesda fan, I quite like starfield but it is so boring, unimaginative and tedious. Im open for a SF2(after ES6/FO5) but they reallllyyy need to take notes on SF1 problem.

The Starfield hate is so unwarranted. No, they’re not getting ready to dump the game. The Xbox showcase was not the place to announce their upcoming DLC, as it will most likely be paired with an announcement for PlayStation release, and you wouldnt get that at an Xbox showcase.

It’s not abandoned. They’re just not gonna release as many continuous updates as they 1st planned.

My expectations for elder scrolls 6 is really low. I tried oblivion remastered but most of the quests bugged for me so i gave up. I would like quest’s to work, strange, i know

20 years to develop a game they poured their blood, sweat and tears into and this is all they have to show for it

The game sucks

StarField is fascinating in the sense that they managed to make a game exclusive to the Xbox Series consoles, that is less technically impressive than a game like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom which released on the Nintendo switch

Starfield is the precursor of what ES6 is going to be…the fact that you came out with a brand new IP and could’ve done anything you wanted to make it fun and they released a bland boring screen loading simulator. Bethesda ain’t it

Starfield was a huge mistake. It was a waste of time and manpower, diverting time away from other games the fans really wanted to play. This was Todd’s vanity project and fever dream that just didn’t pan out the way he hoped it would.

I was hoping for a cyberpunk like comeback but I feel like bethesda just doesn’t have the compassion to do anything like that.

Bethesda is a has been studio .. they haven’t made anything remotely good since Skyrim

Ill give Todd got his little props for shadowdropping oblivion but he has lost all my respect since Fallout 76, everything since has been a wet fart on release.

They messed up wasting there time with this game should have worked with other studio and kept making elder scrolls and fallout now there will probably be a nuclear war before fallout 5 the only game i want
