With you on this one, I wouldn’t pay for a ship build and although the inside is okish, like you I would expect everything to be be just right. My latent OCD would not like my ship off centre 😂👏🏼👏🏼
just got it. don’t like the cockpit is not working right. can only access the top or bottom. a wall is always blocked.
hope it gets patched. i would hold off on it till its fixed. spent a hour trying to get both floors working. i gave up just annoying.
I wish that I saw your video before I bought this mod I hate it I thought that it was already built now I’m stuck with it some of the parts did not fit right for me so I gave up trying to build it what a waste of money in my opinion thanks for the video I just wish that I saw it sooner.
okay speaking as a modder myself + never feel bad about pointing out flaws in a mod . never feel bad about pointing out what feels like it is missing from a mod = WHY? because it provides the modder and all other modders proper direction to move in the future . on top of that the mod is made to add or improve on the game and mistakes do the opposite. nothing is perfect but standards need to be kept otherwise the product is pointless. grow balls and be critical its not toxic to point out flaws and short commings its toxic to dwell on them and the perfuse ” i feel bad saying it im sorry ” causes focuse on it aka dwelling on it. if you want to be fair point out the flaws say if its make or break level and why then move on you dont need to say sorry a million times
It’s a good start (I’ve wanted a standard NASA type shuttle in the game for ages now).
It just needs some refining.
But 500CR is crazy.

MOD AUTHOR:
Thanks NJ, your feedback is always valuable.
Not just a review but also an objective opinion that takes into account the work that is behind a mod like this.
The concept of this mod is actually very specific and that is how it was intended, it is not intended for creative builds that however with a little practice you can also make.
The fact that there are a lot of people/technicians around the ship IS ABSOLUTELY NOT related to my mod, 100%. Unfortunately reviews are often done with many mods installed and predicting interactions becomes difficult and I am also obliged to point out that the mods should be verified first of all by themselves. But in this case the spawning of the technicians cannot be a problem related to my mod simply because there is no mechanism in my mod that allows it. It is something that instead happens if you touch the cell that contains that landing pad, if I remember correctly in your case, New Atlantis.
The premade ship is not present because I personally prefer to always build them myself, but if this is a problem I could also insert one or two ready-made versions with the next updates.
It shouldn’t be a problem if you think it is an important added value, I hadn’t given it weight. “Skin mod” is my only vision for this mod, but i’m a player before all, than i can merge my concept with feedback to have a better mod.
The Textures are all stock as usual, to improve compatibility and have close to weightless mod.
I’m investigating the problem of the ship not being centered, which apparently also affects the behavior of the camera. Unfortunately it didn’t emerge during the testing phase because for practical reasons I simply “threw down” the Starfield session if the mod was OK, also not present on QA test.
Instead it seems that the problem is present after saving and reloading, strangely not after assembling the ship, not even if you go around and land and take off many times. What’s more, not even always. But fortunately I’m someone who cares a lot about his work and so I’m working my hardest to understand and possibly solve the issue, even at the cost of deeply modifying the components.
One thing you have to keep in mind, however, the comparison with free mods is wrong and incorrect, those who review must get this into their heads.
The fact that a mod is paid does not automatically make it exempt from the possibility of errors just because you paid, this is a cognitive bias.
Also because this way you belittle a work and care that often a free mod does not have if one objectively evaluates the two products, for example in my case the quality of the models.
A paid mod made by me guarantees you that if a problem arises I will dive in head first and try to solve the thing, exactly like a developer does.
You forgive a free mod just because it is free, but the screw up maybe was even bigger, but everyone only remembers “100 free pieces”, not 100 free pieces of which 80 are rotated or retexturized vanilla 20 are new and modeled in a barely acceptable way of which 10 give problems… after all it is 100 free parts.
Furthermore, on the verified paid creations we are required to maintain the mods to guarantee correct functioning over time, it is no coincidence that the Bethesda QA is constantly engaged in checking bug fixes and updates constantly released by the verified creators.
A free mod does not give any obligation other than moral and also the update/bug fix timing is free. Free and paid mods are two completely different world even if the subject matter they deal with is the same.
As for the recurring controversies about prices even for paid mods that aren’t mine, it’s not the paid mods that are expensive, it’s the free mods that are. It seems like a trivial thing but it isn’t. Those who don’t make mods absolutely don’t realize the work that goes into it and above all how many skills one must have developed over the years to be able to make a mod like the shuttle.
It remains a modder’s right to give away their mods for free if they feel like contributing in this way. It’s not an intrinsic characteristic of the mod which is in fact work.
A mod like the shuttle is worth much more than 500 credits, also in light of my personal roadmap of additional content, but I couldn’t charge 800 credits for content that isn’t available yet so I thought the current price was fair.
Some criticisms make me lose the desire to add what was planned sometimes, but I love this game and I think I’ll keep going.
You can’t always judge paid mods badly with phrases like “I don’t expect this from a paid mod” because I give you the guarantee that I’ll work on it right away.
Also because then you never and I mean never take the trouble to report any updates or improvements to the released mod.
Take for example my ACE Cargo Enhanced, it has undergone a significant total retexturing and an improvement of the models, did anyone deign to point this out? Simply not, but I had to put up with the criticism of a streamer, not you, who said that the models were vanilla… an idiot, because there are no vanilla models in my mods of parts, they are all studied and modeled by hand, of the vanilla models I only kept the bulk in that case, but his ignorance on the subject made him say a huge bullshit that damaged me. I just inherited the mechanics of the NG-15 landing gear from the game because the animations for modders are not available but as soon as they are, the landing gears will also be custom.
Do you understand my point of view better?
It takes years of experience and they are demolished in 10 minutes of video.
I make both free and paid mods, both for Starfield and for other games, do you understand how unfair it is?
At least you remain objective all in all and that makes me happy.
Next time… put some color on this Shuttle since it can be done .
I point out that the two-deck solution is rather original and I don’t know if or how many have ever made it.
I take this opportunity to say that I have also been reported a problem with the behavior of the doors, sometimes they open and sometimes not. I am already working to increase compatibility with all vanilla habs, there are many and finding all the combinations that give problems that did not emerge in pre-release takes time if I want to do it well. The best solution currently is to use an empty version of the hab that you want to use for the ship’s core if you encounter problems.
Matching the Starfield door logic is the current goal, but in some cases it might not be applicable because the way the game assigns doors has its own logic independent of the mod.
My Shuttle mod is fantastic, i talk as player.
This is the start point, It can only get better.
The first thing I would tell him would be to release a sterile version that doesn’t have Nasa markings on it. Also, the texture would be great if it had a bit more wear and tear to it. Other than that, it looks pretty good.
👍🏾Thanks for the video. I’ll pass on this mod👎🏾
This game makes me sick, you know why?
Because there’s no gore, the alien creatures have ZERO damage visuals, no decals for bullet wounds, no dismemberment, the humans have none of the gore of the previous Bethesda games.
It’s sanitized trash.
It’s like shooting at stuffed animals.
Or shooting in a carnival shooting gallery.
The ship will center on the midpoint of the overall collision…I think.😂 if that’s true, the added parts caused it to calculate that midpoint different
Use micro modules from the nubian 1999 silver ship on creations..then your other support systems can be hidden inside the shell
Oh, those curved parts I can think of a bunch of uses. I hope they flip/rotate, but probably not
This is a perfect assessment of this mod. It was hastily crafted. I hope the mod author will take your advice and make the necessary adjustments to this mod.
The ONLY reason I want this is the engine
This should be a free mod. The mod author totally misread the market with this pricing.
