You may be right about Bahamut being the “drake”, as drake is just another word for dragon. I want to think that the four eikons are fire (phoenix/rosaria), earth (titan/dhalmekian republic), water (leviathan/sanbreque), and wind/lightning (odin/waloed)

This update actually got me so hyped for the game!

I’m pretty confident Waloed’s Eikon is Odin…
I could be wrong… and I did think it was Ixion at first glance…
But that horse has TOO MANY DAMN LEGS!!! And Sleipnir (Odin’s horse in mythology) is known to have extra pairs of legs.
Also the sword on their flag fits Odin better than Ixion too.

Sanbreque is kind of a mystery for me… Could be a lot of things considering the figure in the middle and the dragons…
The part where they believe in a “true deity” kinda makes me think of something like Eden… Maybe even Alexander. Shiva would make sense if the figure in the middle is indeed a woman, but those dragons confuse me…

The fact that the crystals are called “Drake’s XXXX” evokes Bahamut instantly in my head too!

Oh! So the crazy artwork we got ages ago with the big-ass crystal splitting a castle in half was indeed for this game!
Wondering if we’re gonna get a lil dragon companion like in the concept art…

Clive and Joshua are Rosarians that live in the west of Valesthea.
As for Jill, she could be from the holy Empire.

The Mothercystals are dubbed as a Dragon’s body part, Rosaria and the Iron Kingdom has the “Breath” aka Lungs, Sanbreque has the “Head”, The Autonomus Dominion has the “Tail”. Lore sidenote, this could be the remains of Bahamut turned into a resource.

The Crystalline Dominion is autonomous meaning a free nation that has little to no governance from the inside. Almost like Republic City in The Legend of Korra.

The Ifrit mystery. It’s not from the Iron Kingdom because obviously, any dominant born there are immediately executed.

One tidbit of info is that it is a DARK EIKON.
Like Final Fantasy XII, each summon has a counterpart.
For example, in the Gemini category of summons, Emet-Selch is the light counterpart of Zalera.

So when someone said in the trailer that the appearance of a second eikon of fire (That is Ifrit) is impossible, then that means that there are dark counterparts of each elemental eikons from each nations, like if there is Titan, there is Fenrir which is his opposite. Shiva in Sanbreque, there could be a Mateus that is her opposite.

The lore rn feels like Tactic and War of the Visions which is exciting because those games have really good stories.

One thing I’ve never liked about the FF games is the turn-based combat in a 3rd person jrpg. I want full swordplay control.
