That look. I LOVE Barnabas. He’s just such an interesting well written character.

He’s completely off his rocker and is entirely aware of what he’s doing in regards to Ultima but the guy just doesn’t care. To him, this is how it should be. His laugh during this fight is what tops it off for me.

He looks like a badass and is just as crazy as Seymour Guado. You can see he’s much stronger than the others albeit with the exception of Bahamut, forcing Clive to literally fight for his life.

I was in the mood to watch a flawless Clive vs Barnabas fight, so I just searched one up and picked the first I saw. While watching, I noticed two noteworthy things.

One: The timing of the music, fight, and dialogue was absolutely perfect at 11:56-12:46. I could go into detail on why that part is epic, but I’ll spare you.

Two: At 15:51, you are literally the first, and so far only, person I have seen parry Circle of Malius. I didn’t even know it could be parried.

So, after that show, I checked to see who this is and it all made sense instantly. I recognized your name immediately. Given your Sekiro: No Hesitation video, I am not surprised this was so masterfully done. 👏

Just finished the game on Final Fantasy mode and I thought Barnabas was a lot harder than the final boss entirely. I expected nothing less from Barnabas with the build up they give him. (Also that cackling he did when ifrit’s strength failed is contagious.)

Where do you even practice this? The game doesn’t offer any sort of boss run mode, and you can only save before the start of the bossfight in the base game itself.

Absolutely amazing.

Riddles is the best boss fight song in this game imo, its the most cachy and the pirate theming is a nice touch, while Ascension and the others are great there are all during Ifrit gameplay moments which do not provide as much challenge as the Clive battles making them feel like cutscene sountrack rather than gameplay sountrack.

Barnabas was an awesome villain. Once you learn just how twisted his motivations are and what he was doing to his own people, i was shook. Dude was a true menace.

How do you practice no hit bosses in souls games and this one?

This is about as immaculate as it gets. I want to ask though, what charms are you using for this setup?

One tip that I realized while experimenting is that the charged sword transfers over to zentetsuken if you sheathe the odin sword while holding attack. If you combine that with the fact that you can charge the sword during any attack and you can use zentetsuken seamlessly after anything basically.

Like in 2:50, had you charged your sword during gigaflare, you could had used it right after rift slip without having to attack first. It’s not that easy since you would have to press triangle + R2 and then circle WHILE holding square, but it’s a nice tech. Good to know if you already didn’t.

Based half-stagger enjoyer. Level 70? Seems low. I just finished Liquid Flame on NG+ and I’m already 64 without grinding. (stacking a lvl 1 exp accessory with a lvl 2 is v nice.)

It always FF series that have this suck off bosses that view themselves so highly but keep getting shutdown they keep giving excuses went they just lose I like ff15 bosses they knew they weak but they never boost themselves so highly it make fighting them more enjoyable every time but it just time of the way they make they bosses generic hence man thinking they the big shot

If you want your Zantetsuken to be smoother, hold square, then circle, release square.
For example at 02:11, hold square when you are using Limit Break, then circle, then release square, this is more fluid.
Same at 02:46: hold square when you are using Gigaflare, then circle, then release square 😉
