I really think this is the first game that broke me. The gameplay loop is tiresome, exhausting. 80% of your main objectives in this game is speak to NPC’s, that’s the dreadful, tiresome and exhausting element I’ve talked about. Then the overlong cutscenes and dialogues and a very decent fighting system unfortunately hindered by dull, scripted enemy encounters where the system never could realy shine. The fight against Titan was scripted from beginning to end and lasted over 20 minutes, it was plain and simple boring and only the spectacular visuals saved it from being the low point in the whole game so far. The story and characters and the lore/political conflict do have potential, but come on, this is basically a 10-15 hour story stretched to a 30+ hours slog. I only hope CBU 3 will never lay a finger on a numbered singleplayer Final Fantasy again. Props for Torgal and Ambrosia.

This game is super easy lol I’m at the 24hour mark in this video, level 39 32 hours in. Haven’t died a single time. Probably the easiest ff game I’ve played. Super fun though!

The boss battles were epic. I saw some things that belong in a Final Fantasy game; but this was more of a souls like, with a slight Final Fantasy theme. Took me several days to watch the entire thing. Thanks for this play through. Saved me the technical head ache and waste of money on a lousy port for PC. Though I wonder, how long this game took to install on the PS5? That might have been horrendous.

Great movie, not so good game

I’m currently playing this game and, although the gameplay is great, the amount of big cutscenes and mandatory NPC interaction have a really bad impact in pacing and the game quality overall. I’m seeing myself just skipping through a lot just so I can move forward a bit faster and, to be honest, I don’t feel like I’m missing much. I’ve just killed the Titan and passed 28 hours of gameplay. Apparently I still have like 12 to 15 more to complete… well, okay. Again, great gameplay, boss battles, etc… but terrible, terrible pacing with the story.

Well, Rebirth is out and is becoming way better than 16. Actual mini games. Acrual things to do. Being anle to upgrade your weapons and stats to your liking and not just whatever Blackthorn gives you. Having active party members that can be commanded or you can switch to them outright.

Hacknslash cluttered mess. How original for this series. Id rather FF7, FF8, FF9 turn based anyday. So sick of these cliche games. There hasnt been a decent unique game since around 2010. Almost 15 yrs ago.

Whoa! That first fight between the two Eikons of Fire was insane. I’ve rarely seen titanic fights between monsters depicted so epically in video games. But this was beyond impressive. Interesting how Joshua says there’s only one Eikon of Fire. If a family has two sons, I wonder if that makes any difference in this world of magic. Oho! Wow! Torgul grew into a big boy in thirteen years. But he’s still a cutie. God I just want to scratch those pretty ears of his.

Spent 4 days watching this and the game play was fantastic, the story was fantastic… at least up until about the last 4 hours. The story keeps getting worse and worse, and the ending was truly disappointing.

I love this game vibe and cinematics, game dynamic isn’t very original but fun in the package, but I can’t be the only one feeling Bravely Default 2 vibes when it comes to the storyplot feel, and some of the lines said (mildly). It really hit me at moments with the crystal and it kinda freaked me, even Clive looks like the main character abit idk..

Well..

World, Style and Graphics: Very good.
Music: Not that good, but okay.
Characters: Very bad. (MC is a mix from Noctis and a dollar-store Cloud. The other Characters are just plain boring and nothing special. Completely emotionless, and many faces are just copy-and-paste.)
Fighting: Kind of fun, but way too much. Looks more like DMC. No real Party Immersion.
Sidequests: Just stretching the game.

Final Fantasy Elements: Chocobos. Summons (As Characters) and Monsters. Crystals. Oh and a Moogle, of course.

But thats about it. It may be a good game to some, but in my opinion it doesnt deserve the title “Final Fantasy”.
It tries to redefine the FF-series, when it didnt need it.

Thanks to MK for uploading it, because now i can save a lot of money. Stay healthy!

This is extremely good. The story telling, the soundtrack, the voices, the screenplay. And did I mentioned the soundtrack? Totally love it. I can easily watch it again. Only thing I did not love much is when the character models are in dialogue ingame they are a bit robotic compared when in cinematic cutscenes. I bet they rushed that part.

If i wanted to restart playing the game, which one should i honestly start from? The combo mechanics for this is honestly amazing. That was my biggest thing, it was too arcadish for combat mechs if that makes sense.
