This Final Fantasy gets mid tier in my opinion. Not the best and certainly not the worst. There are very good aspects as well as better decisions that could have put this game on a higher tier. The main character felt like more a side character. If he had been removed from the story entirely, it would not have affected the story much at all. Also, the storyline became very political and took away from really getting to know the characters on a deeper level. There was also a missed opportunity to bring diversity more into the game. Architecturally and environmentally this game was very heavily based in the Middle East. There were only about 20% of people of color actually in the game. Out of all the main characters, there was just one that was of color and they had to make her a half rabbit person. On a good note, the game’s art style and battle system were completely unique and made this Final Fantasy stand out amongst the rest.

in the original 12, something about everyone wielding an ultimate 2h sword, 1 spear and a bow felt so exciting, because you just kept on trying to collect all these unique weapons to get the full list. i was always super excited when i got a new one to have another “best in slot” weapon for a character. in the zodiac remaster, the seitengrat kindof ruined that feeling. it is still fun to get 6 of them early on and then farm assassin arrows and the best heavy armor and whatnot, but since you continue to use that weapon for the whole rest of the game, it just doesnt feel the same anymore when you finally get excalibur or ultima sword and youll never use them. i hope other new games wont have random test weapons stored inside the game that are game breaking to the same level.

One of my favorite final fantasy back then. Because of the artsyle, new battles system (on field), the map & the world, bounty system (hunting monster).

First time playing the og, my friend told me to be careful opening chests or I won’t get the Zodiac spear. So I didn’t open any until I got it.

I had the bow , his top gun and excaliber. But i could never achieve the zodiark spear or the last 2 handed sword. Never could get zodiark for that matter either lol got all excelt for zodiark and got all marks except for the last 2 the seer and the last 1 cant remember how to spell as im terrible at spelling. But i only got to play it on ps2. Never played updated version. Only game i ever acquired everything in was ff8. But loved all

I used to play FF12 gambits off + atb wait on the character I’m controlling just to stay interactive on the gameplay.

Btw what version was this one? The original version cap at 9999 damage. And why Artemis bow instead of the Sagittarius bow?

Ivalice alone carries that enchanting, otherworldly vibe no other FF world can match.

This will always be the most underrated FF to me. This game was so incredible and nailed the transition from traditional turn based encounters. Doesn’t get talked about nearly enough, but I personally think its better than 8, 9 and 10.

Bought this on the Ps2 when it came out. Loved the gameplay and story more than any other ff game even though I didn’t fully grasp the story at my age.

Never finished it, the final boss surprised me and I was just a tad bit under leveled.

How is the art looking so good? Was this enhanced. Looks a lot better than my playthroughs from years ago

I think Excal is overall the best weapon in the game. Yes it sucks v Yiazmat, but it’s so good vs basically everything else in the end game and it’s super easy to boost it’s damage.

Unfortunately, in final Fantasy 12 The zodiac age the zodiac spear was cut out of the remaster of final Fantasy 12.

Zodiac spear it’s the strongest weapon, but it does not have the best dps… Masamune berserk combo has a higher DPS already… There’s some interesting combos with guns also… And Sword and Shield and accessories.

Still wishes they explore more about ivalice worlds…

I got the Seitengrat bow, it’s an invincible bow you got in the airship, i use that to fight Yiazmat, i give seitengrat to basch and equip accessories that causes him berserk, it can does until 78.000 damage and i defeated yiazmat in only 41 minutes, how to get seitengrat? I have it in my channel

Man, selling specific loot and amount to unlock stuff at bazaar was hella difficult

Excalibur does massive damage if you have the white robes equipped Since the sword does holy damage and the white robes double holy damage

The same goes for the yagyu dark blade with the dark robes. The dark blade is one of the fastest weapons in the game so not only are you doing INSANE damage with each hit but you can get 2-3 hits in before a greatsword can even get 1 in

Dopest ff game ever 🙌🏽 but in zodiac age you have a even more powerful weapon than the doxa lance. It’s an invincible Bow called the Seitengrat. It has a high attack power of 224 and an evasion stat of 75 🔥🔥

Personally, I find Burning Bow to be far more powerful than Artemis Bow. Pair Archer with Red Mage, toss on Oil, and get ready for 50k+ Ardor spam. As long as the enemies aren’t immune or absorbs fire, this spell is king. Add in Break techs and Faith for more reliable damage and…

And if I recall….some of these were a total pain to get too lol

Zodiac Spear… The first time I tried to get this weapon, I failed miserably. I didn’t know I could get this weapon in Necrohol Nabudis. I got all the treasures I should not. I tried to get it on Hennes Mines phase 2, but it was almost impossible. So I started a new game lol!

First you get holy lance. You can hit 40000 damage with holy lance+white robes. Then go after Kanya. And finally go get excalibur+white robes. The rest is end game content.

You did however miss out the Wyrmhero blade – second highest attack power, auto bravery and auto faith, highest combo rating and holy element. Solo I took down Zodiark with this beauty in a few seconds

Even ignoring Seitengrat and Great Trango, it’s criminal that you didn’t put Wyrmhero Blade, at minimum, on 2nd place (I would even put it on 1st tbh)
Tho it is slow, it has the highest combo rate in the game and automatically buff the user with both Bravery and Faith. Just throw Haste on the user and you have a broken combination that can be used by all jobs in the game.

Seitengrat is the #1 weapon for Zodiac versions. And you can get as many as you want of them so the entire team has it. Its broken and makes the game less enjoyable but none the less, it is attainable in the PS4/XBOX versions

I am loving using crossbows during my current playthrough. There very satisfying in dungeons and caves.

This game isnt worth grinding. Just play if for the story and nothing more.
