I know im a little late to comment, but I love the gameplay. I just got the game myself, and it’s already one of my favorite games ever. Im playing it on the new PS5 Pro, and it looks amazing. The only thing I changed was the keybindings for dodge I swapped it from R1 to O, and it feels alot more comfortable for me.

My favourite is FFXIV i love everything about the game, also the community, everyone just tells you to enjoy the MSQ and waits patiently for you to watch the cutscenes in party environments, and I was never spoilered about anything, that’s how much the players care. My first Final Fantasy was FF7, I bought a used ps1 with my first paycheck I ever received just for this game. if you don’t want to count FF14 because it’s an MMO, Then my fav is FF8 followed closely by FF7. I love the whole franchise and a lot of people would have missed so many good memories if FF7 would have flopped at it’s time. It was the game that saved Square from bankrupcy.

Not saying this with any sort of hate or anything, it looks like a fun game. But it highly reminds me of a plague tale…(spoilers?) sick child character with immense power, that doubts himself, in world with a plague, and looking similar while being voiced by the same voice actor doesn’t help. That might be all the similarities but its jarring that the character is so similar (granted this is just part 1)

I’ve played every final fantasy and I have enjoyed each one in their own way but my favorite is 11 my clan leader who lives in Texas and I Rhode Island became a very good friend of mine, and eventually she traveled to Rhode Island and met me which turned out to me having now an 18-year-old daughter, and a 13 year old daughter. No matter which Final Fantasy game you play you will always end up embarking on a story you’ll never forget much love my fellow final fantasy players.

Final Fantasy 8 was my first FF game! I was in 8th grade when I played it too! Honestly, it is still my favorite FF game till this day, even though I love all the other ones. But FF8 just always feels different for me!

Small criticism of the game–totally based on my opinion, of course: the soundtrack isn’t good and it doesn’t appropriately synchronize with the scenes for the best ambience. The serene melody at 1:00:22 isn’t appropriate for neither combat nor a fog-shrouded, deserted milieu, for example. 🤷‍♀ This is a bit jarring–especially if it’s a 40+ hour game and a consistent issue throughout. Ruins the experience, somewhat.

This my first time ever playing final fantasy I remember when they out but it didn’t catch my attention and not to mention no one I know played it either.

FF7 reigns supreme in my mind cause it was the 1st one I played, then I played up to 10 I believe & skipped the rest… but this video might make me play XVI now.

I have to say, one of the big reasons I like this channel is because there’s no commentary during cutscenes. But something about this game with its many cutscenes through the twists and turns within the story is making me want to know what Brad is thinking in that moment in time and wouldn’t mind if he said something over the dialogue. Much love for this game as it’s my first FF, definitely in my top 3 all time favorites!

FF 10 and 12 were what I grew up on. Loved both of those games

Though I can’t yet make a totally fair and conclusive personal judgement regarding 16s combat, as Ive no PS5 and haven’t played 16 first hand myself… yet….

It’s a breath of fresh air to finally once again witness SquareEnix employ a competent Event/scenario/plot development team. Of which is evident right of off the bat, 16 opens up with a fast, cinematic, attention demanding, graphically beautiful Battle between Gfs/Aeons/Summons, followed by a much longer, even more massive, even more visually stunning, and surprisingly pretty violent battle cinematic, with well integrated portions of gameplay spread throughout.

All the good classic FFs start the game off with as big of a cinematic bang as the video game productions technology of their times each allowed.

Reminder: FF15 started out with a spoiled prince and his security detail, dressed matching in mid 2000s mall goth attire, letting their car run out of gas, then literally forcing the player to push the deadweight car through *the fuckin’ Desert* for a totallu unreasonable amount of time, while listening to the 4 bro chads trade shallow, immature, uninteresting quips back and forth.

I have never played a full Final Fantasy game. I don’t remember what was the first one, but I played one of them on the PS1. I only played it a little and realized I am not a fan of turn based RPG games. I played the demos of this game, 15, and 7 remake. I think this one is my favorite one because it focuses more on action and fantasy. I might play the full game in the future. Who knows.

For me it was XIII
Before I have heard of Final Fantasy but always thought that the games were sequels to the games before. I didn’t want to jump into a game without knowing what was going on so I never gave the game a chance. I believe it was actually your video watching XIII and falling in love with the characters, the emotions, and storyline. I was in awe and it felt like I was watching a movie. The characters that really stood out to me was Lightning and the man with the afro who had a son (can’t remember all their names). The game felt like a dreamed up fantasy and the storyline made me feel like I was a part of it. I’ve watched other final fantasy games but no other game to me was like XIII.. A lot of people are saying FFVII was their favorite, but to be honest I think Kingdom Hearts kind of ruined that for me because I had a perception of those characters long before watching a playthrough for the game lol.

I love final fantasy 8… the graphics (back in the 90’s it was awesome) and story line… oh and the free world, i think ffviii was the first game I played that has free world to explore

Final fantasy 7 original is my favorite but I also love FF9 the story and side missions on both was just Amazon. There was so much to do.

I never played final fantasy before. I’m not a hard core D&d player where I appreciate turn based game play. I did play a little D&d. I guess I could have enjoyed it if I knew there was a strategy to it. There have been some good looking games that were turn based but couldn’t get into them. What I like about Final Fantasy 16 is that I don’t need to know the backstory to appreciate it since it’s a whole new world. Do they all stand alone? I just finished watching the history of final fantasy and I’m not really sure.

FF7 is my favorite of them all. I used to sit and watch my older brother play for hours with him. I never played because at that time I really only like driving, sports, and fighting games(mortal kombat/street fighter). I just enjoyed chilling with my older bro. Plus the little cut scenes when casting spells were really cool. I had never seen anything like that until then. The big 3 headed hell dog was the coolest thing he casted in my opinion. I used to try and get him to always use that one. 😁

When I was first introduced to Final Fantasy my favorites were 7 and 8.

But then as I grew up and became a more mature adult and person. Final Fantasy X became my favorite. Its probably the most unique entry in the series but at the same time it screams the vibes of what Final Fantasy SHOULD be imo. The characters. The music. The story. The ART production. All around good vibes.

Poor Final Fantasy franchise. Went from an epic turn based RPG game of all time to a copycat of other action style games. They moved away from their essence and became a mash replica of other games. Such a shame how Final Fantasy turned out.

FF6/FF III will forever be my favorite. The story was unforgettable and each character had their own original backstory. Great chemistry between the crew. Forever a classic.

Everybody’s favorite Final Fantasy game is always 7, and I hate that. FF7 was quite mediocre, honestly. Everyone just has a boner over Cloud and Sephiroth, despite there being much better FF games out there.

My personal favorite always has been, and always will be, FF10. By far, the best one in the entire franchise. Anyone who disagrees with me, well… Your opinion sucks and is completely invalid 🤣😂🖕

I like how the game starts off and reminds me of Lord of the rings, the fight scene between gandalf and balrog were fighting while they were falling down the pit. It seems like they copied that whole scene

Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite. I feel it’s very underrated, especially since 7 was the next big thing. However, I feel like 6 does everything 7 did, but better. Except graphically, of course. The characters are very well fleshed out and have a great depth to them. And the party system was fantastic. If I had to, I would say it is the closest to a perfect game as there has ever been.

My favorite will forever be III/VI I know it’s officially VI, but I first played it as III. But the characters were so well thought-out, that I could lead as anyone was fun, I could keep or change all members names. The story was massive but not showy. It was just a really cared about game and I loved it.

VIII is my second favorite but they had to go and try to make it a love story. It was grossly portrayed. That held it back as neck-and-neck with III. But second ain’t bad. The characters were perfect. Who doesn’t love Triple Triad? And boo me if you want, but I liked the fight system it was unique and easy unlike X. They were trippin’.

ff13 was my first ever console game i got to play and i knew nothing about the franchise at the time. i was just excited to play with a character that had pink hair and was a bad ass 😂 but after i played it through, i started getting really interested in final fantasy and all the different games

First FF i ever watched. So Clive is Wyvern and has Eikon abilities as well as Joshua? Also the guys hes with now look like the Commander and Tyler a lil bit… im gussing he became a slave with the enemies.

Fighting system is really fun and that’s really the only reason I’m still playing. That and the dialog is really good. Hopefully I’m able explore a bit more. The game is so linear so far. I’m at lostwig and pretty much it was a straight line. Really annoying

My first final fantasy game that i remember any bit of playing was XIII-2 on Xbox-360, never ended up beating it or any of the XIII series games eventhough i have them on pc now. Loved playing XV despite all its problems. Think im going to like XVI even more once it comes to pc in 6 months.

Excluding remake, 13 was my favorite FF game after X. What I’ve seen of 16 reminds me a little bit of VII — in terms of being a tech showcase with a promising and focused story.

FWIW… I LOVE remake, but 15 was my least favorite entry to date — so I’ve been a bit soured on mainline entries & kinda already was feeling that way heading into 15.

I found the XV setting terribly uninspired, the map both overwrought and unoriginal, the boy band perhaps the peak of cringe in FF history (really saying something), and the combat unsatisfying.

In my mind this has always been a quirky series with highest points coming from story, characters, and world building. I think I can handle unfulfilling side questing and pointless gear if the production values are this high & the gameplay is fun.

I prefer the concept of hybrid action/strategy like FF7R and Y’s VIII, but it appears the XVI combat has been implemented really well.

Let’s gooo!!! This game is GOTY material.

I thought with XV they had changed but i guess not… Now Playstation is mad because XBox is wanting to buy a gaming company to do the same thing that Playstation has been doing all along… I say screw Playstation and it’s console blocked games

Ngl. I hate Clives little brothers voice and his personality. The way he died is tragic and brutal and im glad he was able to fight back as hard as he did, was amazing. but im so glad he is not alive so that way i dont have to hear his annoying whiney voice complaining and crying for the whole game. i would not be able to tolerate it. I do feel very sorry for Clive though, that must have been terrible for him but dear god i thank them for getting rid of such an annoying character in the demo.

I’ve never played any of the other games but I hope to play this one soon! Loving it so far!

I think I’ve gotta go for 7 as my favorite. When I was younger I watched the movies with my dad and fell in love with the buster sword. Then 15 came out and I almost changed my favorite, but when the 7 remake came out? Fell in love with the story all over again. I’ve been tracking this series forever especially since my parents split and me and my Mom moved to Maryland. These games allow me to feel like I’m 7 all over again and hanging out with my dad in the Man Cave (about to be 19).Plus cloud is wayyyy to dope!

My introduction to FF was 12, but the only I’ve played is 13 and 13-2. I didn’t like 13-2, but I loved 13, best FF for me. 12 feels nostalgic cause I would see my dad play everyday in the ps2. I’ve seen people talk very good about 7, but never got interested to watch it, maybe I’ll see the 7 remake tho
