It’s called DMA cheats, to the tune of approximately 40% of players above diamond are cheating, and this is coming from a 7k hours player that hits master consistently on pc, most of the top top players are using cheats that cost 1-5k a year to maintain and there’s just no way to really detect DMA without manual observation, most of these top top guys change out their hardware when using DMA cheats once maybe twice a year to make sure they aren’t detected, it’s definitely not all pro players but for the ones streaming it’s more like 20% of them are doing it, if they’re around top 400 pred and don’t stream they’re probably cheating, if they are streaming but never use their face they’re probably cheating, it’s just a fact of the game and console is no longer a safe place either because of DMA so enjoy the grind

This is slightly comforting to hear. I peak diamond in some seasons as high as almost D2 . I only play a couple times a week if I’m lucky due to job, family, chores, and hobbies l. You know family, man. I don’t get in that many hours. A lot of my games are solo queu also. No consistency in teammates. It would be interesting to try pred lobbies with 2 other preds to see if I can hang or keep up. Ofcourse my consistency wouldn’t be there but still fun to try.

This is true. I think I can hit solo masters, if only I have time. I play only once or twice a week. So I usually cap myself to diamond 4 to 1 so I can do something else productive rather than playing the whole day 7 days a week.

i was playin 10 hours a week before at most and still remember at season 13 i hit plat and i felt like i ended the game but now diamond took less than 1 week. so as myself as diamond and apex predator difference is these day gigantic. you realise how precise they are when you match againts them.

Yeah as many people have said it in here that the main difference is the 3 stacking vs solo diamond players. Nothing else. We play 3-4 hours a day matching with plat players in our team and get shit on by 3 stack preds cause our solo que teammates doesn’t think that giving out simple comms is worth playing while solo que until their ass is getting carried like hell by someone.

Nah the main factor is if you’re not 3 stacking, you’re at a disadvantage before you even queue up into a match. Comms and chemistry is everything, it’s a timing thing In any FPS. And also, most players don’t know how to take directions very well. Pride and ego can ruin a rank grind for sure. Knowing what role you play goes along way and more times than not you’ll get invited for sure.

since the beginning of the game, i only stop once i hit diamond rank—and that’s from solo queueing. i don’t really bother or try hard to reach masters or pred when playing solo, lol. if only i had consistent teammates, those ranks would be easy to get.

I swear I’m not that good at apex but I can consistently get to high diamond-masters.. but I have some plat/Dia teammates that absolutely clap cheeks just shooting but have 0 iq when it comes to game sense. Like they are in an eternal loop of getting 5 kills and 2k damage but have no concept of winning the actual game so they get 7th lol its crazy to me

The difference in console lobbies is whos cheating and who aint thats it lol, hit d2 finaly almost d1 and the amount of zens and strike packs i ran i to from preds is insane, died to a 737 pred other day, spectate, he was aim snapping with a havoc with a 3x on zero recoil and the gun has the funniest sound, shoots like a starwars gun had the weirdest sound since he was shooting it faster then what its cappable of so it sounded high pitch, im 37 and pretty good aimming and 1 clipping, tried to see if i could do it in the range standing still, tried smoothing and could not replicate it nor the sound on a elite series 2 controller, just sad people cheat

If you are stacking to get to diamond you are not a true diamond player and will 100% drop back to plat. If you can solo to diamond 3 then you probably are diamond.

I don’t consider diamond 4 true diamond yet. Why? Because you have to prove it that you can play against diamond iv and plat 1 players. Plat 1 players are still queued up in diamond iv lobbies just so you know..

The difference is, diamond lobbies feel like bot lobbies. I SoloQ’d from plat to masters in 72games with a 7.7KD…

Gold ranked lobbies are harder than diamond or plat. If a gold player lands a shot on you he’ll hunt you down and ape you when they really shouldn’t. I diamond is waaaaay more passive and more likely to play the long game.
Gold and lower you have to be on your toes more often. Plat and above you have to strat more often

You also need to look it the skill of the lobby. Most diamond can easily destroy all the lower ranks, but when they get to diamond its hard to get killes because you are not playing against idiots. You are playing against another person with your skill
