Can you do something other than a mod? The base game does exist. Unless your take is this is ModField now.
Derretech has micro modules
All the Star Wars ship mods have micro-ish bits that work on other ships.

Seems this mod is having issues on Xbox. People on Nexus are reporting issues including random crashing of the game. I did have the game crash multiple times with it active,so I had to delete it till the creator addresses those problems.
It looks like some of the parts are based on Sparrow bodies.
Tried this on Xbox. A few of the parts were not selectable and continuing to try and select them caused a game crash! Most parts were fine and were as expected
Centerfire Engines come from the Centerfire Ship, a Queen’s Wrath Ship, which I have been using in Destiny 2 since Bungie fixed the mistake that prevented it from dropping during its Season. Kaos_Nyrb did a good job of giving hints with some of the names.
If you do not know what parts comes from which ships, you could do searches like “Centerfire Destiny 2” and it should show you. I think it was very clever to convert some weapons into Ship Parts, to make some very unique designs with those models. Definitely was not expecting it.
(EDIT)- Some of those parts come from Sparrows. I hope that Kaos_Nyrb keeps adding to this collection. I want to see more and more.
I am biased, but I really want ALL of Centerfire’s parts to get ported, so I can build it perfectly in Starfield. It has a cockpit style that seems like it could be converted to fit in Starfield.
Its wings are a unique design, and could very be useful for other Ship Builders who want to use those types of wings for their own designs.
Nifty
Perfect, always interested with Avontech. And yes, a hitbox that’s too small is just as annoying as one that’s too big, you’re so right to mention it.
Have you ever looked at the Matilija aerospace mod? If not would love to see you review it.
When I saw Traveller, I thought it was Traveller RPG… but then saw when I read the description, it was from Destiny. 🤷♂️
I really wish someone would make Traveller RPG ship mods. There is decades of ship designs and lore for Traveller…
I used to play Destiny 1 a lot, even bought the fancy version that came with a book all about the weapons with lore and such… I got Destiny 2, but never played it as much… and when I got No Man’s Sky, pretty much stopped playing Destiny.
On seeing through a model, yes. In fact most models work that way, as it saves resources from having to render textures for both sides. This is why, in many games, if you clip out of bounds you can see through any obstacles that would block your view of the rest of the level from the outside. But that wouldn’t necessarily be helpful for the way you’re merging parts on ships, because unless you’re standing directly inside the part you’d still see it blocking your view.
Coffee time. Cool new ship parts. Gotta love that. Great video, fantastic review.
Yes there is a mod for micro components
yeah it IS called micro modules…i use it for the gravity buffer and auxilliary reactor on every build…i made a pretty neat ship aswell…with the micro module mod you dont need landing gear
Love your videos!
