Starfield being unpopular has little to nothing to do with the UI. Not every game can be a stat heavy Dungeons and Dragons BG3, games are different and thats a good thing. Look at Elden Ring.

They dumbed everything down after Morrowind.

Even bethesda devs dont know what ES6 will be yet, the game entered preproduction a year ago so by now they maybe finished the story writing and other on paper things

Saying that devs are sceptcial is nonsense since they are sceptical about the succes of a not even halfway finished product. Starfield was Todd Howards experimental game that he “cared about”, but ES is much more established and overlooked than a totally new IP

Hearing someone call BG3 highly customizable is crazy to me, it and skyrim really belong in the same category of game.

Elderscolls can’t exactly get anymore simple without firmly leaving the RPG genre so adding complexity is the only real way to go.
Although generally better intergartion of the systems with eachother is definitely key. As it stands many have alot of choice but the choices don’t mean much.
