I must say, that Fallout 4 when it first came out had its attention from Bethesda fans as it was a technical upgrade like Skyrim was an upgrade from Oblivion. But if you deep dive with some objectivity into Fallout 4 then you find out how really dissappointing Fallout 4 actually is, like every other Bethesda game. But I will not lie that I still enjoy the games though. Its just… there is much much more potential in the last releases

Morrowind 9/10 (simply incredible story amd while i’m indiffirent with the D&D style of combat i can still handle it, only reason i’m not giving it a 10/10 is how much of a headache some of its quests can be, call it a skill issue but jesus christ finding certain quest items and npcs can be a pain for the first time)

Oblivion 10/10 (easily the best quests, looking at you dark brotherhood, and a somewhat decent combat, though its graphics didn’t really aged well… but regardless, it was a blast playing it, such magical game)

Fallout 3 5/10 (Man, i just don’t vibe with this game, i want to like it but it easily has the worst combat and somehow a worse speech system than 4)

Skyrim 7/10 (OK HEAR ME OUT, Skyrim is an extremely mid game and that’s ok. It is heavily carried by the modding community and a little bit of nostalgia, which rightfully the mods makes the game a lot more enjoyable. Other than that both the quests and vanilla combat are super mid)

Fallout 4 6/10 (it’s…painfully ok, story sucks but it has the best combat and power armor so…whatever?)

Morrowind: 10/10 – everything about this game is damn near perfect, from the role-playing elements to combat to progression.

Oblivion: 7/10 – a bit dumbed down compared to Morrowind with hit-and-miss quests, but there’s still attributes and spellcrafting. That’s something.

Fallout 3: 3/10 – way too linear in its quest design with overly cartoonish characters. More of an action-adventure game. Has a couple good quests and great ambience.

Skyrim: 5/10 – love it, but super linear and very dumbed down; no classes or attributes or any real RPG stuff. The player is rarely given meaningful choices and only a few quests are well-written. Magic is terrible, and so is combat; lacking “oomph”.

Fallout 4: 2/10 – Good gunplay, atmosphere, power armor, music, collectibles, and companions. Everything else is mediocre at best and irredeemable at worst.

Starfield: 3/10 – Wide as the sea, deep as a puddle. Unlike FO3, Skyrim, and FO4, there’s no exploration — just running around the same copy-pasted enviroments scanning the same rocks and plants. The main quest is awful, answering none of the questions it establishes and rewarding attentive players with a plate of lukewarm cat shit.

Man skyrim is only a 7/10 AFTER you get it on pc and mod it.

That game is incredibly buggy, difficulty is mainly just raising healthbars into stupid levels (deathlords with a few thousand health), one spec of magic is basicly useless with a few exceptions, balance is NOWHERE to be found, buggy af, released yearly on new consoles (etch a sketch release 2025?) yet has SO MUCH ISSUES that the MOST downloaded mods are around fixing bugs… story is meh, you can accidentally stumble into some title like arch mage, being a werewolf somehow limits you to no looting and no door openings and you get stuck by uneven floor, and when you reach endgame…. when you maxed enchanting smithing alchemy, and looped yourself into some OP gear…. you one hit everything, yet SOMEHOW break the game even more. Fondly remember making a fiery wooden sword that hit so hard the game crashed. Ofcourse scaling as you level up can work, except if you for instance do alot of pickpocketing early because gold, but end up meeting enemies with the health bars… did i mention bugs?

Skyrim is so overrated. Only really good game that ever came from Bethesda was New Vegas, and that one was even developed by Obsidian. Bethesda did some good games with the old elder scrolls and with fallout till f4. Skyrim is totally overrated for what the hype was back then, bad story, bad “cities” (villages that were created in 5 minutes with like a population of 30 people lmao)

Stsrfirld hate is unwarranted and most people spreading the hate hasn’t played it. I played all of these. Starfield IS the highest ranking imo for its complexity and freedoms. It lacks exploration when it’s compared to Skyrim but it’s more of an rpg than a sandbox. It’s comparable to Spiderman 2 in that aspect. Outside the main missions and side quests there isn’t much to do (until now with mods being added).

Second in line IS fallout 4. There’s deep mechanics in fallout 4. Graphics we’re weighing it down in todays standards but the recent patches makes it good again.

Skyrim is 3rd. Lots of hate for it but people clearly mistake nostalgia and bias for good a good game. Skyrim IS good. But it’s more of a sandbox tbh. It’s like saying gta is good cause the story. No, we play Skyrim and gta for modding and f-ing around. The Skyrim lore is good but not as deep as fallout. Gameplay has more bugs. And most people in the comments sections either only ever played Skyrim or haven’t played any and say Skyrim in the best the same way people said Fortnite is the best game, because it’s the popular opinion

Oblivion would’ve been great if it came out this year with modern graphics and modern content. It plays and feels similar to Skyrim. Very story driven with a live world, but not as much exploration as the other games

I dislike ESO and FO76. Not cause they’re bad, but because mmo games take a big hit during development. They had to remove a lot of content from the original games to compensate for a fully generated open world with thousands of people on at any given time while maintaining a steady connection to the servers. This is very hard to do especially when a lot of players still have 10 year old hardware. They did their best and it works. Just not the same as the single player variants.

Not ranking the other games since they’re too old or un mainstream that it doesn’t matter but huge hopes for FO5 and ES6. Probably releasing with the new gen Xbox and have NPCs that heavily rely on AI for quests and chat options. Mark my words, those games are going to be big… a year after launch when they fix it at least lol

Oblivion was the game that first got me hooked on these games. I remember staying up all night fulfilling various quests and side quests and having absolutely no idea how to play the game. I remember when I first learned that you could soul trap enemies to recharge your enchanted weapons. I remember the arena and learning the different techniques and mechanics like how holding down on the left joystick while attacking will make your character attack differently. I was born in 1994 which puts me in a weird category with regard to technology. I was never exposed to computers as a child. My PS3 was essentially my very first computer. I was 13 about to turn 14 when my mom purchased my PS3. YouTube had been around by then but I didn’t have computer access at home so watching YouTube tutorials for games didn’t come naturally to me. I had to learn where to find the soul trap spell all on my own and when I finally did I soon after became an enemy of all the mud crabs.

My friends told me to play starfield and I only had a PS5 and PC, and since I wanted to play it on my big TV instead of my desk with my PC I used the opportunity to finally buy a series x and I must say the first line 3-5 hours of starfield are so boring I almost fell asleep, however I forced myself to keep playing and I’m SO GLAD I did because after beating that annoyingly long tutorial I’m having a ton of fun, and I’m glad I bought the Series X, because a lot of the games on it look and feel better on a big 4K tv (except halo infinite cuz I need KBM for that)

Can we start to scale down a bit, 5/10 is normal middle of the tree, i would say starfield is 4/10, after patch 4.5/10 they are getting there, Above 5 is good. BTW, oblivion is better then skyrim. I miss the arena in oblivion 😢
