It feels like you’re there, the drugs are there and you can also picture some dark room in the corner where people are having s*x. very good representation of an underground rave.

The bartender at the club on neon you encounter talking about how the guy who made the club music is a genius. That f’king killed me😅😅😅😅😅

Starfield was a slogging piece of isht absolutely hellbent on giving players a perspective that each environment and everything in it has no meaning in of itself with a hunter after you and a hunter to quarrel with whom at the end of the story only verbally informs you of the decay you just saw told in story and rendered. The + mission cycles and phallic arrangement of rocks on planets are simply some psychotic weirdo’s deep dive of shallow brain rot multiplied by over 200 artists and technical talent to show you how much fun that guy has punching himself in the arse.

Comparing these two seems no fair. Cyberpunk is a near masterpiece, starfield is bad.

Half of the problem here is Bethesda still using a janky terrible game engine. They can’t get the lighting right because it’ll look even worse if they make it that dark without good lighting + shadow rendering. They can’t have that many NPCs in the area so have to stick with such a low density (should have at least made the area smaller. The engine still has terrible animation support, and of course dancing is an area that makes that super apparent, so the animations can’t compare to proper modern ones like that.

It’s ridiculous how cheap Bethesda is.

Funny thing sbout the gangs in Night City.
You interact with all of them at least once. None of them are really populated with good people…theyre gangs.
But of all the gangs you interact with, the scary, technocultist, borged out fucking Maelstrom always seem to be the friendlist and most personable.
-The Tyger claws are basically Yakuza and they give you major grief in the game, especislly if you follow Judy’s questline.
-6th street seems to keep to itself but theyre complete A-holes
-Ditto the ‘Tinos
-Voodoo Boys are a crazy netrunner convent and treat you like a bug to be squashed universally.
-The scavs are just monsters.

Maelstrom seems ro have minimal interaction with.the general public(likely because theyre gawdam scary and keep to themselves in the Northern corner of the city.

The bouncer in this club is a good example. Most every other gangs bouncer, including the Mox, comes at you ready to punch a hole in your face.
Totentanz bouncer was like “Minimalist huh? I like it. I used to be light on chrome like that. Go on in, have fun”

We’ve gone full circle, in 2005… The Elder Scrolls Oblivion technological impressive, Real world physics on objects the player can move, that’re not tied down and dynamically cast shadows across the terrain and shapes in the surroundings. Speed trees 1st usage, procedural generation. Npcs had indiviual diaolgue, and lip-syncing via face-gen (it was terribly implemented but still)… that’s just the technological downgrades in Starfield, not even the mechanical downgrades… Starfield is outdated, it lacks mechanical nuance… and has no definied character or atmosphere, this is why is the worst Bethesda videogame… and their new low-point.

After so many years of people shitting on cyberpunk and comparing it to GTA and such it’s great to see it’s actually getting some love. Someone in the starfield club literally said “yeah, probably time to officially switch to water 🤓👆” no one in the history of the Earth has ever said that sentence, not even just in a club but ever 😂.

GTA online has the best nightclubs. The devs stated they went to the most popular clubs to study there design and atmosphere. Aka they got blitzed for months and added their experiences into the game.

Bethesda definitely made countless downright stupid design choices in Starfield, but when comparing things like music and lighting it is worthwhile pointing out that cyberpunk was one of the biggest budget games ever developed, with a budget of over twice what Starfield had. These things do make a difference. But that doesnt excuse the downright bad design decisions they made in the environment and dialogue.

This almost feels like it was made bad on purpose as some sort of joke making fun of nightclubs, but the joke falls flat on it’s face because you can’t tell it apart from all the the other slop in this game that’s as bad due to sheer incompetence.

Its almost like Starfield is a space sim exploration rpg, set in many different solar systems and cities, and Cyberpunk 2077 is an adventure action rpg, set in a single but very full city.

Starfield’s Nightclub is just people who do Alien Drugs and hides it from a protagonist. That’s it, that’s where the fun is

I dont know what clubs Todd goes to, but if they are like the clubs in Starfield, they should have their doors closed.

To be fair, I’m pretty sure the “nightclub” in Starfield is reserved pretty much for the richest and preppiest of Neon. That is to say Starfield really doesn’t have a nightclub at all, it’s just one of those hippy bars with live music (and I’m 70% that’s how it was intended).

Though I will agree that the definition of a “party” in Starfield is way too sanitized. I wanna see people losing their shit breakdancing to hard techno, not casually standing around with abusable substances.

Cyberpunk’s club is of course a lot more realistic, but only to a limited extent. In the real world these sort of clubs aren’t typically that violent – they’re either full of goths or people having gay sex and drinking/doing GHB. They only use this music in movies to make clubs seem more intimidating because it sounds more threatening.

It’s clubs playing pop music you should be scared of. If you’re going to get stabbed in a club it’s a lot more likely to be to reggaeton or something than techno lol

What an absolute joke Starfield is..or was…did they delete it yet?

So when I walked into the club for cyberpunk 2077 it was definitely a cool experience but I didn’t stay there for more than just the mission time and a little exploration for a better weapon or cosmetic. Now when I walked into the club in Starfield, I actually had a huge smile on my face because the music was just perfect for me. The dancing freaks reminded of a trip I once had and it just standing in that club space in Starfield it literally made me wanna light up a bowl and vibe with the music which I did. I’ve had a better time in that little pathetic Starfield nightclub that I do in any of the cyberpunk 2077 nighclubs. Both are amazing games and honestly shouldn’t be compared because they each offer their own moods. It’s always a good time to have options to play and each offer their own flavor. Some days I’m craving Cyberpunk 2077 because I just saw a cool trailer or video on YouTube about city life or something, and other days if I get all into space stuff like watching Interstellar or reading up on the planets and universe I get excited and in the mood for Starfield. Both clubs offer their own unique flavor and I don’t think one is better than the other. Just depends on the mood for that day and whatever sounds like fun!

In Cyberpunk people are together, they are gathered in one place cause generally clubs are really crowded places with small space, so it makes sense putting them all together, that’s what most people want in a nightclub, to feel connection to other people and be alive, meanwhile in Starfield they are all separated for some reason and just doing nothing at all, just in a standing stance, they really must think that clubs are like libraries or something don’t they?

If your game is being compared to cyberpunk 2077 but is doing worse, this definitely tells you about the level of your game.

Aside from all the obvious stuff, one thing that really jumps out at me as how much of a clearer visual identity Cyberpunk has. The club is dark with red lighting and feels claustrophobic and wild. You get a definite sense of “place”, it might even make you uncomfortable! The starfield club might as well be one of their coffee shops with a little purple lighting

When I got to the nightclub in Starfield that’s when I knew it wasn’t getting better and uninstalled

don’t like cyberpunk all that much but what’s so impressive about it are the stunning visuals and atmosphere when you walk into the afterlife or evelyns strip club. it feels like a live cutscene and its one hell of an experience for RTX users. CDPR went hard making the visuals & enviroment come to life in this game
