Any chance of flipping the break engines out back as regular ones. Like 12 engines max power req. Of one each. New ships designs them possible
Is the brig operational now?
I’m super excited, bought the trackers and plushies are a blast!
Somebody please mod a destiny 2 sparrow particularly the dream brey tech 9 in the constellation aesthetic
Is it just as easy as installing the mods? None of the mods I’ve installed work
What do you think is the best difficulty setting to play starfield at?
Infinite mods is the way to look at it
I wish Skyrim and FO4 had 100gb space for mods.
Played the first trackers quest last night it was a blast to play. Looking forward to more content. And to thepeople bitching about paying for mods dont buythem. There will be plenty of free content. Starfield just gota whole lot better
I will not support overpriced Creations until I feel that I’m getting a good deal.
However, this shouldn’t take away from the fact that Bethesda has shown some great support for the game thus far and I’m excited to see what they do next.
Making us pay for tracker missions pisses me off.
i would be OK with paying for mods if they were full on dlc “sized” type stuff. I’m talking like full on themed armor and weapon packs, or storyline/quests that span several planets and gameplay scenarios. but paying 10$ for one weapon or 15$ for outpost stuff is insane.
I want to support amazing modders that go above and beyond and make really awesome things, but it’s when you get paid mods with hardly any work on it for insane prices it makes the idea of paid mods not worth it.
Don’t buy the stuff and wait for free mods so simple
I’ve yet to play more than 20minutes of startled. I’m going to let modders cook for a year then maybe give the game a go
Creations are annoying, like I get supporting creators, but $7 for a quest or $3 for plushies is just dumb.
I’d wait for the FREE mods like I did for Skyrim and FO4. Overall a good update, but painfully annoying with how greedy BGS can get. Starfield was up on the uptick, stop it.
There is also a mission board downstairs where you can get radiant bounty quests.
You left out ammo crafting which is welcome and really wanted by a few people. I’ve never cared for creation club but I don’t mind it since it’s voluntary and small stuff anyway. Pricing doesn’t matter because I wouldn’t do it even for a tenth of the price.
Any word on if the creation kit is gonna bring the mods to console?
I have a feeling we going to get multiplayer in future
And the dirty mods?
Anyone having trouble with the sound not working? Different problem than before where restarting the game fixed it. Now it’s persistent unless I disable all mods then restart. I’m playing on Xbox. Going to try going one by one tomorrow trying to figure out which mod may be the problem. Will update if I figure it out so folks can avoid that mod
This is probably a hot take, but im okay with the Creation Club in concept. I mean, a way for modders to have guranteed earned money from the efforts they put in to modding, that’s nice! Like if a mod author makes a large scale mod with several quests and gameplay mechanics, and they are genuinely good, I think that modder should rightfully be able to have their mod cost money, or be a mini-DLC. Like Sim Settlements for example. If the creator of that made a mod for Starfield and had us pay anywhere from $5-$10 for it or whatever, and it was the same quality and size as previous mods, then hell yeah, I’d support him, he deserves it.
My problem with the Creation Club isnt the mod author side of it, its the fact that Bethesda themselves are using it to make small little mini-DLCs that makes sense to exist in the vanilla game, like The Vulture for example, but they sell it as an overpriced microtransaction. If Bethesda never did that, I’d be fine with the Creation Club, itd would just be Bethesda/Microsoft verified mods that the mod authors get money from, and i think that mod authors who do a great job deserve to be compensated in some way. I just hate that Bethesda is using something that could be good as a way of making more Horse Armor DLC.
2:21 give it 10 years if starfield survives this is gonna be the make or break of it
I like having a good base game and letting the mods be sprinkles we don’t have a good base game
Hope the modders can improve the exploration of the game, most point of interest become boring after playing for a longer time. Unlike skyrim that was mostly handcrafted and almost all point of interests where unique.
Stupid question but I’m knew to this does the mods still allow you too play the full story of the game and new game plus, thank you for anyone who can answer
Thanks for the video. I think I’ll continue to wait until Starfield finds itself. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
I was kind of hoping Starfield might get an overhaul of some kind in regards to space travel and activities, but hopefully the new storyline has lots of content to enjoy.
i fail to see a negative to opening any and all games up for modding. as long as that game has a fanbase willing and wanting to play the game, it will just improve that title by multitudes, having a plethora of mods available.
there are some titles i own that i wish they’d open up for modding, because it would essentially make the title playable forever (for me at least) but they’ve refused to do such a thing. i think mostly because they want to make sequels that are very similar to the style and feel of the 1st game, or something
I would like to introduce you to my friend, Mod Nexus.
The prices are acceptable
Nexus mod collections is the way to go. Completely overhaul the entire game with a few clicks. I’ll keep my eyes open for a nolvus style collection for starfield
How do you get your 1000 free credits from premium edition?
Gronk!
It just works!
I’m just gonna use nexus mods. We still need the script extender though right
creation kit……….the thing I’m waiting to finally buy this game.
I know this is controversial but I’ve always seen Starfield as a platform for modding creativity so I’m excited to see what people come up with
Does Starfield script extender needs an update for this patch ?
I don’t really understand the point of a lot of stuff in Starfield. Why does it have an advanced base building system if the main thrust of the game’s narrative makes it all meaningless and resets it all over and over?
I just played Starfield now first time after release. I am pleasently suprised how they polished the game. I no longer need Star UI, or similar UI mods, it rly runs smooth and just good. Loading times are 2sec long, If I compare it with Fallout 4 were loading screens are just 10x longer lol. All the new nice to have features, and they adding more. Rly nice that they stick to updating it. Since F76 they really seem to stick to their newer games in updating it
The 100gb mod space for consoles is the biggest paet for me. 5gb for skyrim is very limiting and 2gb for fallout 4 is even more so but 100gb opens up some really sizable options.
Finally.
Hey Mortismal, if you need another ‘list’ idea for a video, you could do “RPGs from SGF that I’m excited about.” Dragon Age, Avowed, Fable, Starfield Expansion, Diablo Expansion, and I’m sure I’m forgetting some too.
ANy idea if it’s safe to carry on using like 40 mods? Or best wait for SFSE to update ect?
Idk its too little too late for me. I doubt ill ever buy it unless its 5 euro on steam.
All I want is a God mode and unlimited resources like what we could do with f4 cheat terminal. I just want to play the game and enjoy it without any grinding or problems.
I wonder how much mod creators actually gets… 80%, 90%? Im all for tipping mod makers, but something tells me they get not even half.
There’s one more thing that I need to understand better. How does using Creations affect Saves and Achievement status? Does it vary with a type of creation or is it with any one you download?
An explaination would be good, a video would be great! Thanks!
Those prices are truly embarrassing.
I think I’ll finish my first playthrough on this patch now and make a new char with the expansion and some mods later on.
Yeah, I’m gonna use free mods. The pricing has always been the issue. The quality control in terms of content is all over the place. I’m not paying $10 for habitats. Or $5 for a single gun. It’s not happening. Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is $19.99.
Great that the creation kit for modders is finally out.
Awesome! But it’s going to take a few months for any massive mod. Wish they had released it with the game. It feels crazy to say but I don’t think Starfield is going to get into the swing of things like Skyrim till year 2.
Loverslab Goblins will be eating well
I do think the Creation Credits are priced way too high. But the good thing is that we don’t really have to engage with that, and since the Trackers Alliance themselves and their quest structure were added to the base game, modders can create their own new bounty missions using that for free.
The pricing is an embarrassment, and I hope it won’t limit the game to a small number of whales just like Fallout 76. Just adding up the stuff in the store right now, it would cost HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS just to get some additional static assets added to the game. Bethesda seems deadset on moving from a mainstream developer into a niche developer (Coming from someone who enjoys Starfield tbh)
There was one thing in the update trailer for this that did get me a bit excited. It looked like one of the modders was trying to get the mechs playable in the game. I’ll be really excited to try that out if they get that working right
As far as value, TGs Luxury Homes Vol 1 is pretty decent.
I heard modders abandoned the game a while ago, anyone know the story?
Awesome, plan on fully getting into it when shattered space comes out
🧡
I like the intro music
love the game but got tired of it because all I fight are pirates, I wish they will include human form aliens since they are alien fauna or zombies stuck in abandoned ships or something other that pirates all the time.
Is that guitar rift at the end “Funeral for a Friend”?!?!?!
No way I guessed it!!!!
I just realized they’re gonna charge for shattered space. Nevermind
I wonder how long it will be and how many mods it will take for Starfield to go from decent to good.
Honestly if I’m ever getting this I’ll probably just get some discounted anniversary edition with all the xpacks and what not rolled in 3 years later or something.
Kind an aside, but i do find it ‘funny’ that they took the time to wrangle a bunch of mod makers to launch this creation kit and test it and make sure it worked, but for all of the latest Skyrim and Fallout updates that they largely shadow-dropped that broke everyone’s mods? Nope – no communication at all. Just threw a grenade into the modding community for those games and said ‘think fast!’ Even a week of forewarning would’ve done wonders for the disastrous Anniversary Edition to Skyrim and the Next Gen update to Fallout 4.
the perception and discourse around Starfield is so strange….it was the 3rd game on steam by revenue in 2023 (behind Hogwards and BG3) and pretty sure it charted in similar spots on other platforms/stores as well. It’s a good game, maybe not a game changing masterpiece we expect from creators of Skyrim, but it’s nowhere near a failure on the level of Redfall that people pretend it is. I’m excited for Shattered Space. Reminder, Nexus mods exists, if ya’ll are angry about “Creations”. The kit will elevate modding for Starfield further.
Can’t wait for new compaions with 5000 lines of dialogue, and DLC-sized quest mods!
Quite excited for the melee weapon changes. Won’t get back to the game until end of the year or so, but this has me actually excited to come back.
Finally
This CK requires 16 gb of memory 🤣
Lets see if this actually makes a difference. We have already heard that some of the biggest Skyrim modders have refused to mod Starfield considering how fundamentally broken the game is. Mod support only helps if you have quality modders dedicated to the game.
A set of plushes for 3 bucks is insanity
The game was expensive enough. I’m not paying for mods. It was a fun 30 hours, the game was already archived in my library and I guess it stays that way.
So fucking pumped, taking this opportunity to get into modding 😄
Tried to use creations on Xbox just now and it wouldn’t let me access it somehow I’m not surprised.
Edit: It is now available on xbox.
free comment.
I use computers at work , don’t need a videogame like my work
do mods (not cheats) from the creator kit on Xbox disable trophies?
Absolutely insane they’re charging people money/credits to expand a side-quest chain by one singular quest
Is Creation Club On Xbox too?
Or only PC?
Why the anger? I never understood why people are upset over the OPTION to buy stuff since its only an OPTION.
If the modders can get access to all the tools and they decided to actually mod the game, I MIGHT buy starfield for $5
Hope they make some sick mods by the time the expansion drop
They had a chance; they really did. But of course they just *had* to screw it up… *sigh*
