i was hopeful that since they got the movement animation and crafting down for F4, they had more resources to spend on the next games roleplaying aspect, then F76 released, and I am now a Bethesda hater.

I don’t often buy games on release anymore because I’m tired of the countless lies, bugs & disappointment. I pre-ordered Elden Rings dlc straight away though because From Software over deliver & deserve all the respect they have worked for.

I LOVED Fallout 3 and New Vegas. When 4 came out I realized that Bethesda was no longer a company I could get hyped around.

I still play it, albeit modded to oblivion and back.

Before Starfield, I would have said I will always consume whatever Elderscrolls or Fallout game that was released by Bethesda. I always knew what I was getting into. Average, Buggy games that had a certain charm that mainly came from the hand crafted world that was fun to explore. Starfield and the rumours that TES 6 will have a similar procedurally generated map make me rethink that.

They like to either make shit up or play semantics. Yeah fallout 3 technically might have 200 endings. If there are 200 quests the there are 200 endings and he could eventually argue that if he got called on it. Like how he said “yeah starfield will run on your PC. Just buy a new PC”

One more Starfield sized fail and they can probably kiss their company goodbye, or have Fallout or the Elder Scrolls pulled from them and given to another company.

I bet in elder scrolls 6 they’ll just destroy Skyrim so they don’t have to answer the question of who won the civil war they seem to be very fond of that narrative strategy

They teased ESVI almost 6 years ago. Released FO4 in 2015. We are likely another 2 years away from ESVI? Then maybe not see FO5 until what? 2030? Even longer? Could be wrong, just seems they strayed away from what made them great.

When he says “200 endings” hes actually talking about the different combination of slides you can get at the end of the game depending on who you sided with/killed etc.

So hes technically not lying but obviously still intentionally misleading.

I will defend Todd Howard. Oh my God I can’t believe I’m doing this so there’s 16 times detail and 4 times the map of fallout 4. It’s hard to quantify detail, but the map is definitely has more personality. Than fallout 4 map. And the map is 3.83 if I remember correctly times the size of fallout 4. But 1/3 of the map is unplayable because it’s all water, so it’s about 4 times the size. I know it’s fun to pick on him, but I will give him credit where credit is due. At least one of those 2 statements can be proved That is all you may beat him for everything else.

If you morons felt burned by Starfield, that’s your own damn fault. Most of us saw the writing on the wall the moment they announced it will still be made on the dog shit Creation Engine and then months leading up to the release all the gameplay looked boring and outdated. Stop pre ordering games and don’t buy day 1.

Todd has entered his Peter Molyneux era. He can spout off as much as he wants about his future games, but no one should believe what he has to say at face value. If Elder Scrolls VI sees any delays, it might be out 2028/29, then another 5 or 6 years for Fall Out 5 after that? We might be looking at 20 years between Fall Out mainline games.

As a general rule whenever a game is overadvertising I see it as a red flag. It’s a sign that the distributor knows that they have a lemon and are trying to get as many pre-orders before the bad press hits after release.

They need to go back to their roots handcraft a game and make the map smaller I’d prefer quality over empty maps

One thing i’ve noticed is that Bethesda is incredibly good at hiding how absolutely flawed and boring their games are.
Their quest design is boring. But since they adopt the Familly Guy approach to their quest (throwing so much stuff at you theirs a highly chance something sticks with you) it’s hard to notice.
Their combat system is completely broken, and even mods can’t really correct that.

Elder scrolls 6 I hope is good and I hope it’s main quest is better than Skyrims , I hated being forced to be a god it ruins the rpg element, because you are forced to be the good guy . Oblivion was better because you where a nobody and the quest you choose is how your character was portrayed.

And I hope the city’s are like oblivion bigger not these small village sized city’s like Skyrim.

I think Bethesda has certain franchises that are similar to Call of Duty. People may not be excited to play them but ultimately they will be huge successes because most will look past or not even notice the promises.

I preordered starfield because I was hyped for a new IP, 200 hours in I got bored and haven’t been able to replay it much. I certainly will never be doing it again, there isn’t much replay ability when the game feels the same at level 1 and level 75

Seeing where Bethesda has gone has got me less and less excited for Elder Scrolls 6.

Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and skyrim all have excellent worlds to explore as well as morrowind. All the games feel very similar once you pass 2006 Obvlion and that’s okay. If they just re released skyrim on the same engine but with a whole new world, characters, and locations with lots of love, I’d buy it for 60 dollars even if it looks like it’s form 2011. I just want to see the same receipe used again. Not fo76 garbage or Starfield garbage
