Im a little late to the party but if you go to Bessel star system to the west of Narion, Bessel III-B has Iron, Aluminum, Nickle and Cobalt, with some other resources. And each hour that you rest is like 58 hours UT. That way you dont have to travel between systems to do it.

I have a massive time saver. If you go to Nikola I in the Nikola System, you can make an outpost that can farm both aluminum and iron at the same time

There is absolutely no point in even purchasing this game. If you’re just gonna do all this, this is just gonna play the game. Enjoy the game you know call Carla corners using glitches whatever but…. Getting all the Way love that before you even really start the game is just stupid.

You don’t even need to make the second outpost at all as it gives the same xp as adaptive frames. You could make it way faster by making an outpost on Venus (requires maxing out a perk) and setting up the cobalt and Nickel farm, so you don’t need to travel.

You can do this same method using a single outpost building adaptive frames with aluminum and iron. There is a moon in the Narion system called Andraphon off the planet Sumati; just plop down some iron and aluminum extractors and get to work. No upgraded scanner needed for the cobalt like in the video. The moon is not extreme conditions either so this can be done very early game. Bonus that you can make the storages using the resources you get all in one planet.

Console isn’t too bad with the workbench toggle. It’s not instant but if you tap RB it jumps to 99 in chunks.

If this was just a fast way to level, but in the time you build all that you are already maxed out by just 100 XP for a few hours.

Now I have to find a different planet than Rasalhague II. While it says there’s both resources on the planet when I scan it….there are NO Cobalt areas at all on the surface map. I don’t know if this can be reset or if it’s predetermined and stays that way the whole game…

Takes longer on Xbox due to the no cursor thing which is annoying, but still a good xp farm. I have the adaptive frame farm set up and while not as good its still decent, and can get you some levels to put points in to do this.

I have the set up…. I think but I’m over encumbered which slows everything down) Does anyone have a routine where they can stop thinking and do this method aimlessly? I’m having to stop and think about where I need to go to refill my minerals and I swear I’m doing this bit wrong.

Ive scanned so many planets, they show cobalt in the resources but when i scan it doesnts actually have it. ive found lots of planets that might have nickel and cobalt but once i scan it always has nickel and other resources but cobalt stays blacked out.

you can try using voice attack to setup a command in there to do your clicking for you also… would be so much better than changing your settings.. plus u would be able to get up and walk away from the pc while it is running

For Series X users, the best I can do is move the D-pad right and rapidly press RB at the same time to speed up the Isocentered Magnet crafting speed, is there any better way to do this on Series X? I looked at the controller bindings options in the settings and sadly there’s not even a way to adjust the RB mapping and the gamepad is really loud and annoying with pressing RB rapidly constantly.

Not really related to the video, but popped up when I was doing this. I can interact with everything except the Landing Pad with Ship Builder. I walk up to it, click E, and nothing. I can Hold it down and then get that little pop up menu to move it, but saving – reloading does not fix this, and its like this at all my outposts. Any idea how to un-bug this?

Thanks my xbox said my game couldn’t take anymore data and popped up with a notification every auto save at about 30 hrs into the game. I had done a lot of side quests and leveled up to lev 22 but then it stopped letting me save and then eventually deleted all my save data while I tried to fix it

If anyone doesn’t know, you can transfer from your inventory to the ships cargo bay without being on the ship. Just pause, go to crew/ship, and click the one at the bottom that says cargo hold. It’ll save you walking slowly back to the ship all the time

Im having an issue. I have 6 nickle and 6 cobalt extractors set up. Enough solar energy for them but they are producing at a very slow speed. I went to venus and waited 4 full times but only got about 800 of each resource.

In Xbox the faster you can print is by pressing RB. Does 5 per press and is faster than with the joystick and dpad

You have to have tier two unlocked of science and have one point in scanning to scan uncommon minerals (cobalt) on planets surfaces. Just in case someone else ran into the same problem. Cheers!

You could’ve done all of this with just adaptive frames, as it gives you the same amount of xp give or take a couple single digits. Also Venus has Nickel and cobalt. This was a great tutorial, and I thank you very much. But I feel like a lot of time is wasted in this process

Venus actually has both Nickel and Cobalt pretty close to one another, so that’ll save a jump or two.

Can’t you just do this with adaptive frames since you get 1xp for both? Why go through the extra steps to setup on a planet with Ni and Co?

If you are looking for a planet that has BOTH Iron AND Aluminum on it – Codos in the Cheyenne System has both – And you can find many areas where they are right next to each other.

It also has: H20, Chlorine, Argon, Beryllium, Alkanes and Carboxylic Acid! Further – It doesn’t have an extreme environment. So you don’t need special perks to set up here.

If you follow the Red Mile quest – It brings you here!

The ONLY downside is that its very small – So time is 1h:15m – So going to Sol is far better to do the “wait” trick!

Ghub, or other gaming software with macro support, with 200ms delay between key presses and clicks works well for me. Configure to toggle on button press, just line up your cursor to where you can hit e -> click very right of slider -> hit e -> repeat.

For me, cargo ships were glitching out and not deliverying recourses. Go to Piazzi II and land anywhere in a large area of Nickel and Cobalt deposits should be easy to find as well…. One outpost with all you need, just need another one or two to feed Iron and Aluminum for crates.

And thanks to this, I no longer have to glitch under the map. I have upscaled my iso magnet making game like crazy. Finally getting the large storage setup it feels like I gain 10 levels now. And thanks to my gtuner, I can do this while afk on Xbox. Just programmed it to Marco the controller movements and now easy peasy.

Uhhhh you cannot go that fast on Xbox. You have to spam RB like 22 times, press A just to craft 100 of them. This is not fun or worth it on Xbox. I did 5 levels and my hand genuinely hurts.

Okay so here’s the thing- if you’re just crafting the iso magnets, why not choose amy of the other common materials that also give 1xp each? I’d just vibe in one good outpost dedicated to mining whichever metals that ends up being. Idk, there are like 4 or 5 simple crafted materials like that

Keep clicking on right d-pad and go right on left stick at the same time then after you click on the craft mash the right bumper with the other buttons.
I hope i was able to explain it. Doing this isn’t as fast as mouse but it better than nothing i guess.

Andraphon (a moon of Sumati in the Narion System) has Iron, Aluminum, Beryllium, and Helium3 for power. It’s the best place to start a first outpost, and will cut down this video’s setup by quite a lot. Just walk around with your Outpost marker out and ready to be placed (press F for scanner, then R for Outpost, but don’t place it yet), and the top-left interface box will show you which resources are in range. You can get all 4 resources if you walk the line of the two biomes, and you’ll have Helium3 to use Fueled Generators (20 power vs the solar array’s 6).

All you have to do is build an outpost on Andraphon(Sumati moon) where you can extract both iron and aluminum. Build a shit load of storage containers. Then build an industrial workbench and just craft 99 adaptive frames over and over. Sleep with spouse, drink tea and eat dads meatloaf to increase XP gain.

Just know you won’t be able to see where the cobalt is until you unlock the first rank of the scanning skill under the science tab.

Why can’t I find cobalt

If you have level 2 scanner in the science tree you need to let people know that because every planet I go to that has cobalt is not showing where it is on the planet.

I get 99xp when i do all 99 stack for the cubes. I went from level 19 to 22 😅. A lot longer on xbox

This method is slower on Xbox since you’re not able to get to 99 as quickly. A method that works for me is to spam the right bumper until you get to about 50 or 70. That should net you anywhere from 60-150 xp. It’s not much, but it’s a lot more than the 108 you would get from just trying to hit 99 every time.

Protip. When placing an outpost look for an area on the planet scanner where 2-3 types or resources intersect and land at the border you can often find multiple resources within the radius of a single outpost in these areas which allows you to reduce the number of outposts needed to meet material requirements

It works on Xbox but is much slower. RB increases the quantity by 5 so you can hit that as fast as you can to get to 99. I still got a bunch of levels but not even close to the speed you can go on PC. If any Xbox players have found a faster way to get the quantity to 99, please share!

Remember there are Buff foods to give you a 2-3% XP bonus for a limited time to add to the Well Rested Buff (6 UT hours sleep). Every little counts when using chain crafting to gain XPs. Also, try to craft compound items (manufactured items made of manufactured items) for added value and inventory purging.

Anyone do this successfully on xbox? Would love any feedback and hitches you encountered. Also, Kibbles this is a great video but is there an exp exploit that someone can use earlier on in the game? You need to have a lot of skill points allocated to do even remotely what you’re doing here.

So I’ve got my cobalt and nickle farm set up, linked to storage, and powered. i go to venus, wait, my nickle fills up completely. my cobalt produces like 15k less than the nickle. and only one of my storage bins is taking the cobalt, the rest stays in the extractor. Im on Series X. what testing i did do tho shows that it will work on xbox at about 1 level every couple minutes. still pretty good but a lot more boring

i wouldn’t say its an exploit as its just game mechanic like in Skyrim with Iron Dagger to level up Smithing skill, but why exactly did you focus on isocentric magnet? you would get the same amount of XP for every other component, is it just because you can usually find nickel and cobalt in one Spot? You could also just make an aluminum Farm on one planet and an iron farm on another and just transfer the items via cargo link so you have both materials on one planet just like with nickel and cobalt, so is there any other reason you choose this than that?

How do i select to link all containers at once? , sort of “copy” , or do i have to sit and link 100 containers 1 at a time?
And when they are linked,how do i check the everything runs smooth?,
Dont wanna have 2000 containers, with only 50 of the linked to the shipcargo transer thingy,

Problem comes when you have, let say 100 containers linked, and want to add 100 on top of them, then the linking mess starts, 1 at a time…

Take the planet from his drug empire building that has both iron and aluminum and can just do the adaptive frames same amount xp and the ut time on the planet decent so no need leave. Same concept as the magnets just less steps.

U can create an out post link for the iron and aluminium to the nickel and cobalt and as long as u dont conect it to anything at the nickel and cobalt outpost u will have iron and aluminium shiped in with out haveing to upgrade a ship

For Xbox users: at level 20, taking one level takes roughly 2 minutes, then at level 40 it takes 3 minutes, at level 60 4 minutes, at level 80 6 minutes and 8 minutes close to level 100, which means you’re looking at (on paper) 6 to 7 hours clicking like a madman. I would advise to do it one hour at a time because it gets very tiring. Still the fastest way to get that level 100 achievement, though. Remember to pop some Alien Tea or buy some Shepherd’s Pies in the Well for 1% extra EXP, and sleep in your ship next to your lover to get an extra 15%. I just finished and it took me 8 hours total.

took me about 3 hours to set everything up but was well worth it. went from level 23 to 36 in 2 minutes

does not work on controller, as there is no cursor for xbox. but if you own a decent pc and have game pass you can install it on a pc and play it there. works well on triston in sol, has nickel and copper and 1 local hour= almost 6 universal hour. but you must have outpost 1 to do so

Followed this, crafting only gives me 1x per magnet, 99xp per bundle. Why so low? Nowhere near 20k xp per minute

Ok why do this ? What ever happened to simply playing the game the right way and getting xp as it comes, lol I don’t get the point of this ? 😂 I mean sure it means you can get a bunch of skill points but there’s no feeling of satisfaction?

I found for getting the ship onto the landing platform, it took sometimes doing the save and load method, sometimes it would spawn inside the platform instead of on top, and then you would have to go to build/modify ship, switch ship, and then switch back to finally be able to properly access the ship.

I didn’t see anyone mention it yet, but this does work on Xbox. You have to hold the left stick to the right and repeatedly tap the right bumper to increase the amount to craft quickest. No where near as fast as on PC, but still definitely worth doing.

I’m not sure if this was nerfed but I am only getting about 100 experience every time I craft the cube.

Literally 0 cobalt on that planet

I cant understand why when i link conteiners, then rest at Venus , my conteiners are all empty expect the one Connected to the extractors :/ HELP PLS

Ok i’ve come back after improving this method like 1000%

1 Build comm relay instead it’s 2x xp
2 set up same system to get beryllium and copper
3 build tau rheostat to build comm relay

Even more efficient
build a helium factory like before
to power a cargo link inter system
have a main outpost on venus and link all the resources to go there sit in a chair and collect ❤️

It doesn’t seem to work on Xbox. I can’t set it at 99 consistently, and the xp is only 1xp for every 1 crafted component.

Venus has nickel and cobalt, could’ve just made it there and you wouldn’t need to travel to pass the time

Fun fact, my Rasalhague II doesn’t have Cobalt on it, its listed under the planets resources but there are no surface nodes. Still a great and cool guide!

Would never do this, the enjoyment of these games to me, is the excitement you feel everytime you level and get a new skill point, and feeling that little bit more powerful or getting that new ability man! Whats the point if you just level everything up straightaway? Its why i stopped playing skyrim after i pissed about with modding myself into a God, i just got bored. Lol seen this coming used same thing in fallout four.

one thing you’ll notice once you get to level 100 fast is that those space pirates that you can one-shot previously are now backed up by mini-bosses with tanky disposition. so if you plan to level up fast this way but don’t plan to be a pacifist merchant, then stock up on better weapons and gears along the way.

You literally get the same amount of xp from crafting adaptive frames…just find a planet with aluminum and iron lmao

I don’t know how anyone can stomach building in this game. The control scheme for outpost building, combined with having to link every container, absolute #$%@ing garbage system.

I can’t seem to get the cargo unloaded to link up. Whenever I land at my outpost and go to the ship cargo it says there’s nothing in my outpost but my storage units are full. Any ideas what I did wrong?

For anyone wondering if your outpost gets attacked. Yes, yes it does mine got attacked before completely building it some people just have the best luck. You also have to repair anything that was broken

I found a planet that has Aluminum, Iron, Cobalt and Nickel. Bessel III-b. Oh and an hour local is 54 hours UT. Not 100 like Venus but still pretty good.

If you keep all the cargo on your body, you can still fly. So no need to build the cargo ships. And when you sell the goods at the den you get thousands fast. Great job with this find!

Sigh. On Xbox when you hit “craft” it reverts back to 1, and you have to manually hit right bumper of hold right on the left stick/dpad to get it to 99x again. Wish you could default it so it prompted you with 99x each time

You need level 2 scanning skill to locate the cobalt resource when scanning planets. Don’t go scanning planets without this resource otherwise you’ll never find cobalt

The planet Lovell across from the iron farm has cobalt and nickel with no animals to worry about though I recommend staying away from structures unless you want random galactic marathon runners to destroy your xp farm

I enjoy your videos but please stop telling people you can reset vendors after 24 hours. You simply cannot unless time has already passed. A full reset takes 48 hours UT. So it depends on the planet.

You don’t have to buy all those cargo containers for the ship. You can just carry everything and drop it on the floor of the ship.

I don’t mind the occasional help with getting the next level, but I have no interest in leveling beyond what is needed for the particular spot in the campaign. Each their own, so enjoy your game however it makes you happy….. My question is where can you sell all the items? Which vendor can accept all the items in mass to make a smaller version of this viable to make money?

Why not use cargo links? Why transfer everything yourself?

I get the same amount of XP crafting 99 adaptive frame (98xp) or the Magnet. Way easier to get Iron and Aluminum the Nickel and colbat setup.

you don’t have to be by your ship to transfer thing to it, you just have to be in the same loaded in area

I started building this on a moon in the serpentis system (specifically serpentis V-d which is the moon of serpentis V)

Which this moon has all 4 resources on it, you can at least get iron, nickel, and cobalt all into 1 outpost. On top of waiting on this moon is 324 hours and 25 minutes of UT.

I wasn’t seeing the Cobalt on the planet map, You NEED The SCANNING Skill under Tier 2 Science. Incase anyone else was confused like me

I just tried this out for myself and the planet does not have cobalt. Blue patches from your video are not on my planet. Maybe I missed something?

The moon Androphen had helium iron and aluminum in the same area

Hey so just to add, I would also find a planet that has COPPER and BERYLLIUM. Do everything the same except on this planet you’ll make TAU GRADE RHEOSTAT.
Then you can combine the RHESOSTAT with the MAGNET and make the COMM RELAY which is double the xp. A good way to fully utilize your time in between resets 🙂

What makes this possible is making outposts is so cheap so the time investment isn’t that much for crazy gains I think having someone like heller following or at your outpost can help he has outpost building skill so maybe cheaper and better stuff available gotta test it out
