Has anyone found the fix for the bug in this questline? Theres a piece of space debris from a battle i was not part of and thats the objective. Previous saves experienced same bug.

Aurora is only legal in Neon , but if you go the Starborn route . The power you get from the buried Temple is like taking Aurora but without the visual effects . The only time I ever bothered even getting any Aurora . I did it on purpose because I wanted to get arrested to join the UC Sysdef . Rather than going the traditional route .

Played 150 plus hrs. Is it terrible, no. Is it good? Kinda maybe. Its definitely Meh, Its all so MEH. Exploration is non existent in space and on planets its SO BORING! No vehicles, same EXACT 10 to 15 “dungeons” repeat thousands of times on hundreds of planets. Its so big & empty & boring, there is no real choices that actually effect the outcome, just a the illusion of choice. So disappointing it depressing.
I love skyrim, morrowind is my favorite game. I wanted to love starfield & i tried so hard.
That bethesda magic feeling of wanting to explore & get on top of that mountain or see whats over that hill is not there in starfield like it is in their past games. Instead u can go onto the procedurally generated mountain to see the same EXACT dungeon but why? I don’t want to because its all so god damn tedious, boring & exactly the same.
The ship customization & ship builder I actually really enjoyed, like a lot, but after your done buying & designing your badass ship theres not much of a point because using the ship is not enjoyable. Its just a fast travel machine that shoots. The space battles are alright but pretty basic & get repetitive, there is not enough to want to stay in ur ship because again THERE IS NO SPACE EXPLORATION AT ALL. As i say this theres probably some apologist who gonna say, what do u want to travel for 13hrs to get to a planet? No i want to actually enjoy playing a game from a comapny who has had YEARS & more $ than some countries. That promised a lot more & whos past products i love, at least a decade ago. Everything in this game is mid, boring & plays is safe. No aliens? Common, seriously? but ok design choice i guess, whatever. but NO VEHICLES!? Just running for so long around empty planets fart boosting to dungeon that r the exact same repeated dungeons on 100s of empty meaningless planet. The combat is an improvement in terms of shooting than past games. The guns are pretty cool & the crafting is also cool, however you get over encumbered so quickly even if you upgrade your inventory. So they made the incredibly annoying choice to make being over encumbered drain your oxygen so if you run your oxygen runs out and eventually kills you & you can’t fast travel over encumbered. So if you want to build outposts or upgrade your weapons your basically forced to crawl everywhere & wait at hundeds of cut scenes & loading screens, until you finally manage to crawl to a crafting bench. Everything feels like it was purposely designed to waste your time as if they thought well the more hours gameplay takes up the better, regardless of the experience.
What is happening to this industry & why r people providing excuses. This is not good enough from a company that is part of one of the biggest company in the world, they have more $ than god & used to make good games Wtf?

I’ve been doing the vangaurd questline first. Story is okay, this game is so mediocre its not funny though. Combat and itemizations are meh. The world building is really the only thing keeping me going and its no Mass Effect or Outer Worlds….. Really don’t know how this game passed QA. How long was it in development? Feels like they threw it together in a year.

I have hope for the Elder Scroll 6 since they have good lore already written for it and high fantasy just works better for their engine. Really hope they can pull it together though.

For new players I recommend completing the freestar rangers quest line. You get a unique ship called the star eagle and it is very good. Also has 2000 cargo capacity so you’re not over weight constantly which you will find is a pain in the ass to manage lol.

Be wary, the Strikers quest and the end of the Ryujin quest are both bugged make sure to make tons of MANUAL saves.

The Ryujin bugs may or may not be tied to if you have the Datura or not.

There’s a quest on Neon that gives you the Aurora crafting recipe once completed.
The only unique ingredient you need is the cassbass that is sold in almost all the shops their and it doesn’t set off alarms unlike aurora.

Unfortunately the debt collecting quest line “Due in Full” is completely glitched out & broken for me. I’m only on the second or third one where have to kill a delinquent spacer ship & the ship is already destroyed & keeps rubber-banding everywhere when I approach & of course you’re unable to abandon & reacquire missions so I’m screwed with it until one day hopefully it gets fixed 😔

Nah. First landing in New Atlantis talk to the lady at the spaceport bar. Complete her 60 second quest and boom nice chunk of XP/1 level. Listen around for another quest about a scientist worrying about the trees. It’s a quick grab the sensor quest and that gives a good chunk of XP/a level and a good amount of credits. Than go to constellation HQ aka The Lodge. For a good chunk of XP/level. You can start the game and get 2-3 levels quick and easy before even leaving the planet.

Hmm no the galbank debt collector quests are not worth it, let alone considering them a priority, they’re very simple fetch quests with very little dialogue/interaction and very little rewards (2500 credits each) and my man here saying they’re a must do come on.

Playing my first run through as a neon street kid who signed up as Ryukin operative. All the other escapades/factions are just covers for my job as a Ryukin operative. Funniest was infiltrating a competitor for a mission for Ryukin but also meeting up with the CEO there as a Freestar Ranger. Loving this game

Also, start the Crimson Fleet undercover mission and get accepted into their group before you start the main quests. Being friendly with the Crimson Fleet will make a lot of those missions much, much easier and faster.

I have experienced a bug with this quest line. I had to go kill a spacer to collect. The spacer was already dead and it won’t let me collect anything from the box in space.

I dtone these things naturally as soon as I started early access. Although I did several bounty missions, then went exploring and grinding for about 20 hours before touching any of the main quest.

you should not do this and instead go to a mission board and do all of the crimson fleet missions so you can upgrade piloting and get rewards from the destroyed ships until you get arrested by UC SysDef, then do that side quest

In my opinion the first thing you should do after all that is do the mantis quest off of the “secret outpost!” slate. Good starting ship and good early game – mid game gear. Can even last you to late game if you want.

I found a ping pong table and thought to myself “the only way i would think this game was any good is if i could pick up this paddle and play”. Alas, you cant. You literally cant even give the girl a book (she literally asks you to find her books) found a bunch and threw em at her feet. She didnt even react. Just a last gen game

Something I didn’t figure out till my third character creation and now first thing I do when I arrive other than sell off all the junk I collected to raise the commerce perk as fast as possible and these help your persuade perk level up quick as well. I always take the Diplomat perk as everything else will level up quickly in normal game play.

I tried aurora once, got addicted, bought the whole stock, went on a killing spree on Neon and then became a pirate. Best half hour of npc mass killing yet.

Just imagine collecting debts in the space age! And not in a pirate den or some outlaw planet like neon, but in the united colonies. From people who are building those colonies. Like imagine debt collector coming to your colony on the planet with extrem environment and saying something like: “I don’t care that this generator broke down because of the acid storm, we gave you money for it and now give us everything what you have”. This logic may be applicable on earth (and even here it is causing far more problems than solutions) but certainly not in a space age. It will make already difficult lives of people there even more difficult. This will result not in a progressive society but in some dystopian catastrophe. Like in Outer Worlds for example.

I did this today and it’s trying to send me to a place that’s so far away and I think I need to be level 20.. it’s some system to the south west of the solar system really far. So I can’t even go there. I’m barely level five LmFAO what the hell why didn’t you mention that you had to be a higher level for this? It’s a waste of time from now to even try.
