starfield 2 is just an engine for starfield 2. The writings on the wall. Plus people want aliens in their sci fi
Microsoft may be telling Bethesda that it would be better to cut their losses and move on to making TES 6… Honestly if Bethesda still wants to work on Starfield they should be focusing on a huge bang-for-your-buck overhaul, focusing on overhauling aspects of the game that require comparatively little effort for the magnitude of improvement that you get. Like perk/stat rebalances, combat stat/settings improvements, crafting/item stat changes, and making the health/environmental/injuries system more impactful and satisfying.
The mods are sad cause, the main things that we want in the game properly implemented cannot actually be created in the engine itself. Like light speed space travel. Can’t do it. Smooth terrain for driving. Cannot be done. A full functional joystick 🕹️ jetpack simulator like Superman flying, can’t be done. The engine just can’t achieve the things that make a great space exploration experience. Very sad.
I’ve never played a Bethesda game in my life before Starfield. I still enjoy it and have since day one I won’t lie tho, even with mods which are new to me and seem like the coolest thing ever it’s getting stale. I’ve entered the unity well over a hundred times. Ship building and outpost building are amazing but I’m losing interest now.
Bethesda might have given up already. Even if they do release an amazing dlc not many people will be willing to come back to play it. Starfield has damaged Bethesda’s reputation if they screw up ES6 there will be no coming back.
i think the starborn dlc from bethesda will flesh out the ng+ and starborn options. It will put in variations in the faction quest lines and other quests. Like you can warn constallation about the attack of the hunter and prevent someone dying.
Maybe they let us even get back to our original universe or let us take a companion with us into the unity.
watchtower is pretty good. Much better than shattered space.
Watchtower is excellent, as is DarkStar. Both are must install mods that enhance the game substantially.
Dude this game is dead as fuck. Do not get your hopes up.
Bethesda has been trash for years now. TES VI will be no different.
You are absolutely right about the game. I am still hopping for a big overhaul. Unfortunately money talks and that is why they almost abandoned Starfield. As much as they say the game did well it is obvious that it didn’t. People say ahh but this is a single player game and yes it is but it is also meant to be a forever game according to Bethesda. So when the game came out they have promised regular updates and additional content, dlc-s but as the game didn’t do well they moved to different projects 😢
I hope I am wrong
“The Bethesda we know and love”…is loooonngg gone. Yes Todd is still there annnddd Emiiilllll “the writer” that’s about it. The great games they did make, those people are no longer there. es they got those chics I suspect are the ones sanitizing, putting in the pronouns and the body types and going around covering up stautues because they show too much cleavage. The NAME remains but really, they are no more. To me they really died after Fallout 4. The BARELY made something then. After? Well you know. MODDERS are the ONLY chance to “save” Slopfield, you know it so WHAT does that tell you about the “Bethesda”?
I just can’t believe such an amazing game feels so damn empty. We need new quests new poi’s something
You know I played starfield when it just came out on gamepass and I liked it and enjoyed, but by thhat time i hadnt played no man’s sky neither cyperpunk, now that I played those and Outerworlds i can say that they didnt exploit its potencial at all
Oh look all your other videos were doing poorly so lets make a negative starfield mod video even tho watch tower is amazing, to get views.
Im really tired of seeing these in my algorithm.
“iTs A MoD”
Whats next? “Why does Michellin tyres even exist, the bicycle company should sell dlcs!!”
Can we stop with this disingenuous claim against Starfield’s integrated store.
4:20 they probably justify to themselves as since theyre paying the modder, its no different than hiring an independent contractor to develop content for their game. We’re not really paying the modder when we buy a creation. We’re paying bethesda and bethesda pays the modder a fraction of what we paid. I personally think, that as long as a paid mod is achievement friendly and doesn’t contradict established lore, its effectively no different than a traditional “DLC”. Obviously not many people agree with me, and people can have whatever opinions they want. Just throwing my 2 cents into the convo. Starfield is packed with content and i think a problem alot of people had, was sticking to close to the main story line and not exploring to find all the side content. Same with shattered space. People do just the maon story and think thats it. Not realizing the side content in starfield is massive. And starfield isnt a game you can really play for an hour or two once or twice a week. Its really one of those types of games that you gotta be able to play for hours at a time, frequently, to really see what it has to offer
There are few mods that add new POI’s to the game which is awesome but the best ones are paywalled. I understand that making new dungeons is a lot of work of course.. It’s just a bit sad ^^
Now in my opinion, the next Elder Scrolls will be far worst in terms of paywalled content. It won’t be like Skyrim. I mean if it release one day that is ! 😉
the only way i would view the payed mods in a positive light is if the base game and DLC were completely free for the user and then the payed mods being a thing.
however some payed mods don’t really fit in the payed content, like texture overhaul’s or a single armor or gun mod, i don’t care about little shit mods, if someone is doing payed content, i expect the level of detail to be on par with official DLC in both quality meaning new story’s new locations new content new weapons new settlements new game modes, but all included in one giant package, not some dinky little worthless package of one tiny thing, it’s got to be well worth the money of the asking price for it to be worth it to the player, otherwise it might as well be a free mod.
I really hope we hear something soon. I wasn’t aware of dlc releases for the other games as Starfield is my first Bethesda game. I understand it’s not as popular as its other games, but I remain hopeful. Lots more POI’s, Outpost tools and smaller mission content that ties into existing stories spanning across the world would keep me going for a long, long time.
