What is the future of Starfield?

Starfiled is a fun game to play once or twice. 1st for the story and 2nd for building. But outside of that, it has no wow factor. Never in the game am I shocked or feel that I wanted more of something. Actually, The devs went out of their way to not include hostile aliens! You fight the exact same enemies and some really stupid animals. It’s a SciFi game without aliens!!!! lol. I personally see no reason to put another dollar into this game. 2 playthroughs, I got a fair return on my money. I don’t expect much from Bethesda these days.

My ultimate guess shattered space unfinished cut content, star born seamless space, third expansion complete seamless worlds and planet launch and flight, why do i believe this? Because it’s Bethesda and the community has made it very clear

Just keep Starfield dead as a Star Wars playground. Bethesda screwed up n you all know it. They deserve the “fallout” without you all lubing them up

This game has so much potential. I doubt BGS has the will that Hello Games has for No Man’s Sky, but they need a banger final expansion, and could use some quality of life improvements. It’s still crazy to me that we have nothing to explore with our ships. Everything is near orbit, making ships only a fast travel device and mini shooting/builder game. If the rumour is true that they’ll natively add interplanetary travel, that gives modders incentive to use all the real estate in space doing nothing. You can literally fly from one planet to another as is, jist super slowly.

I don’t expect much from them, but the modders will will keep this alive, they just need better tools. I hope BGS at least leaves it on a high note for them.

I’m honestly worried about future Bethesda projects. Sure, it could be argued maybe this is personal preference, but my issue with it is pretty much the core design. If you strip down the graphics, to me this feels like a game that could have come out 20 years ago. The NPCs are rigid and don’t really emote at all. They pretty much just stand there and stare straight at the camera. Sure, I guess it’s not really fair to compare to motion capture, but why did they not? I will have very little interest in future things from them if they also feel 20 years old at launch. (Even if you compare to the more generic interactions in something like CP 2077 there is WAY more life and motion in any CP character.)

And I shudder to think how many of my like 100 played hours would be removed if you took out all of the time for loading screens and wasted time running here and there.

The mods must be selling well, otherwise they would have given up already.

So it seems like Micro$oft is caring more about PlayStation gamers than Xbox gamers.

Starfield online , multiplayer ?

I just couldn’t quite get into Starfield. The storyline for me was just dull. I was really hopeful for something I could play while I was waiting for ES6, but it just didn’t keep me interested. Then BG3 came along and…. 🤣

Starfield is incredible

Watchtower is a DLC, even if it is fan made. If you’re paying for it, and achievements are activated then it’s DLC. Mods will keep this game alive even if Bethesda doesn’t. But I believe they will.

Got 4000 hrs in Starfield now. The mods are getting really good as people figure out the Creation Kit and can’t wait for more official content.

Starfield has always been a good game and any updates made by BGS will only make it a better game. It would be a shame if the next major expansion by BGS is the last official content created for the game by BGS but if it is a dedicated modding communtiy has already grown up around the game.

This game sucks…

Personally I think it’s been a massive failure overall – especially relative to Fallout & Elder Scrolls. I’d personally rather them focus on making the sequels as good as possible rather than focusing on that game.

I felt the same about Blackbird and ESO. I’ve largely stopped playing ESO for many reasons, but a big issue I had is feeling like all the money I put into it was funneled into that other project. They’ve got great titles and idk why they let them dwindle or don’t focus on them as much and go for new titles instead. Idk. I prefer this direction that they’re taking now big time

They can’t make a Cyberpunk level comeback because the story and lore is trash

I love Starfield. I play it at least 5 times a week.

Microsoft’s corporate greed keeps killing games with good potential, granted, starfield wasn’t that good, but with a bit of polish and regular updates, it can be, just look at ESO and how it almost failed and now it has a monthly player count of 3 million and a daily count of 150K

Better playing some Dune Awakening, in my opinion its way better. For the price and quality and content its on the top of Starfield.
