A (Very Late) Review of Shattered Space – Bethesda is spinning their wheels
Starfield has received its first DLC and…Well, its pretty much what you’d expect. Bland, boring, poorly written nonsense. Lets take a look!

Emil’s writing really shone through in this DLC. He’s gonna double down hard with StArBoRn.
bethesda is currently going through the SAME managerial/corporate fiasco cd projekt red went thru. horrible decisions with incompetent higher ups nobody can get anything done. “employees cant make changes/additions without todds approval”. thats straight from an ex dev lmao. its such an abysmally stupid, arrogant childish policy.
the difference though between these companies is that cdpr is actually competent and humble. they took the criticism, the backlash, feedback and completely reworked their game development process. thats what gave us phantom liberty… what did bethesda give us? shattered slop. because they refuse to accept criticism, admit faults, listen to players, change. and if they do, nobody can make meaningful changes cuz todd wont fuck off and let things go. bgs thinks you, the player, are dumb as rocks (some of you are tbf). they think they know better in every aspect. like valve, except bgs doesnt have the talent and bottomless creativity to back it up… well not anymore at least. current bethesda, as of right now, is doomed. im so here for it.
Time and time again shows that Skyrim is the Bethesda magnum opus and it’s all downhill since then, and Todd has not much to do with it’s success at all, he and his friends like Emil didn’t produced a good game for more than a decade, and this new Bethesda IP turned out an utter catashrophe.
TES6 will be a extremely mediocre game with oversimplified RPG game mechanics, cringey chatgpt-induced AI slop dialogues, worldbuilding that makes no sense to the point it stops your suspension of disbelief after literally thinking about it more than 5 minutes, with completely forgettable generic orchestral soundtrack and same gamebryo (“creation engine 2”) plastic graphics and goofy animations copypasted from Fallout 4, Skyrim and Fallout76.
It’s release will be a downfall of Bethesda and after it’s inevitable flop all these guys will “retire” (they will be all fired just like EA canned the whole Dragon Age team in Bioware after Failguard fiasco) for good.
The only way they could save the game is to hire Chris Avellone to make him writing an actual reactive branching story with a lot of undertones like he always does and return the Jeremy Soule to write an OST.
Bro i remember watching my brother play and even he was like “oh when did they drop the dlc” lmaoo
I liked Starfield and still play it after hundreds of hours but Shattered Space was a different story. Horrible design decision to force the Serpent Religion onto the player in order to play the DLC killed it in my opinion. I know you can repudiate the faith after the main quest is done but the side effect is you can never go back to that planet again “in that universe.” It was a well earned negative feedback rating and I have never replayed the DLC since then and I wish I could get my money back.
7:00
That’s not even the worst part. This is not how fire works in zero gravity. Fire rises and forms a tapered shape because of convection. There is no convection in a zero gravity environment. It should be spheroidal and emitting lots of smoke due to incomplete combustion because of the lack of convection.
Wait, so this dlc is just nuka world but in space all over again?
13:20 I’d burn my Starfield Constellation Edition if I owned one
I think you’re overthinking it. “Bad writing” doesn’t always stop a game from being fun. Not all “good games” get everything right. Nobody ever cared how or why giant floating blocks with fire flowers in them ended up all over the Mushroom Kingdom.
It’s surprising to see how much your opinion about Starfield and Shattered Space is in line with my criticism of Skyrim (Oldrim), I ended up trying to mod back in the things I felt were lacking and missing from Morrowind and Oblivion and gave up as memory limitations, scripting limitations and mods clashing with eachother became too much to manage. I haven’t tried with the x64 version of the game.
This is not a “Review” but a soapbox rant session.
Noone cares bruh, your reviews are as irrelevant as a half a year old expansion nobody has been talking about as you so say
The obvious solution to make the game better is to combine Starfield, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Doom, and after acquiring it, Yakuza into one massive live service MMO with lots of microtransactions that you can only pay for in BSG memecoin that fluctuates wildly. Since it’s set in Hammerfell, Emil has hired MC Hammer to voice Emperor Fellhammer, who comes across as an evil shit bag and turns out to be an evil shit bag who was just working for somebody even lamer who you only learn about in the penultimate quest. Then you put together a McGuffin Sammich after gathering all 76 pieces all in the same dungeon where you get chased by old men dressed as babies throwing banana peels at you. If you slip once, you must start again! Each piece you gather, gives you 1% off bartering costs. Unless you have the bartering perk, then you’re charged 47% more because of a bug that won’t be fixed in 2050 by BGS but will be fixed 50 seconds after the game drops by modders. Turns out, the Unity and the friends we made is the final quest reveal. It is a video game because that is what the ancient order of video game developers do, create video games.
There was a DLC? :O
“Gameplay made for the lowest common denominator.”
Harsh, but true. Games from Bethesda are responsible for players UNLEARNING how to think.
I was so excited for Starfield apart release just to be disappointed by the lackluster content in the game and now I’m glad I didn’t waste another minute playing this stupid game especially after seeing your video. Thanks for the heads up on this trash DLC.
This isn’t related to this video, I need to say this about the fallout tv show: First of all, I am not someone that necessarily cares about lore or anything but I’m weirded, the fallout tv show has so many disgusting moments like Caniba#### stupid idiotic characters etc, and people still say they loved the show and where happy that Bethesda got the lore right. How does that happen when the show sucks?
Just a heads up, boomers from facebook are upset at your reaction to the fallout tv show and are starting a witch hunt against you lmao kek
Got this game for free with a graphics card I was gonna buy anyway and I still feel like I paid too much for it. Probably cause I went to every single planet in the game at least once and out of all of them, pretty much only Crucible held anything remotely interesting and even that pissed me off with how retarded Bethesda writers reveal themselves to be. They don’t understand the concept of cloning or clones. At all. To an annoying degree. They just abuse the term clone to describe anyone and anything that uses some DNA from someone or something else and that’s not what clones are or how cloning works.
Your clips are the only legit way to enjoy a Bethesda game, at this point! Thx for the good content 🗿
I can at least enjoy it, but I want to like the game more than I do, I’m also realistic to know that most people aren’t going to like it.
I legit expected Bethesda to try their best to erase this game from existence to the full extent of their power releasing a dlc for it just shows how out of touch they actually are
Hey are you going to having drinking game trying to get through season 2 of fallout just to see them destroy nv full abd todd piss on it ashes. Part of me doesn’t want to, but yet it like slow moving car crash
Quick reminder: On Todd Howard’s own admission, they didn’t “find the fun” in their own game [Starfield] until six months before release. And that was their cope. I didn’t get very far into the game, Mars I think before the boredom had me put it down and never pick it up again.
Shat Turd Spesh, Dune-lite Edition.
I might be stupid but lowk.. dLc looks nice
Retcons to explore worse lore is what Bethesda does, though. Just look at how they’ve bottled the Fallout Lore. . .
The dam could be a hydro electric battery where the water is pumped to one side of the dam when there is surplus energy and allowed to flow when its needed. However, these are usually passioned on hills to store more potential energy so Bethesda have made a shit one of these too.
Oh cool mothership zeta got updated and removed the aliens thanks Todd I’ll buy 10 copies
Shattered space is a great title for modern Bethesda
31:00 my brother in Christ we have mods, there is a mod that turns the death end into a unity ending. It is free as well.
I remember recording a playthrough of The Outer Worlds in which I chose hostile options as often as possible. The result? No realistic consequences whatsoever. Every character would respond in “Hmm, you may be right” or “Although your tone is harsh, I must say your words reflect reality accurately” types of ways. I regret deleting that vid. Btw I love your vids Cree.
It’s very reassuring to see that Bethesda’s reaction to the game being bad is to make something as bad or even worse in response.
Where are the people hyping TES6 now?
I, for one, think that one of the endings to the DLC being a fade to a black screen and your autosave being loaded is utterly fantastic.
It’s so creatively bankrupt and lame lmfao
This is the first time I see a more in depth review of this DLC and its way worse than I expected.
… what’s kinda funny is that everything is delivered with stern seriousness by a bunch of flaites xD (search “flaite” and have a good laugh).
It’s aggravating that BGS has access to devs from InXile, Obsidian, and freelancers from all over that are willing to work for them under the Microsoft umbrella but the only thing they’ve made in years was Starfield. 76 isn’t even made directly by them.
This review is more entertaining than the game itself.
For me to sum up Starfield with only hearing about it and not having played it myself, it looks like the following sentence:
They made a game and forgot to add the game to the game.
Now for those, who actually played Starfield: On a scale of 1 (Not accurate) and 10 (Most accurate), where does my sentence fit in? I am curious, since (again) i have not played Starfield, only heard about it and would like to know if one actually needs to play this piece of shit in order to critique it and having a somewhat decent look at it or if it is enough to only have heard about it.
This video had a bit more slurring than usual. Is this the birth of Creetokal Drinker?
ITS JUST LIKE MORROWIND.
Minus the unique atmosphere.
Minus the Intrigue of the in-universe politics.
Minus the memorable sidequests.
Minus the fun Magic system.
Minus any roleplaying whatsoever.
BUT THERES 3 NOBLE HOUSES AND A WACKY RELIGION. JUST LIKE MORROWIND. WE ARE SO BACK.
Just visually, the characters in Fallout 3 and New Vegas feel more real than this uncanny valley abomination
Cree dropped another banger
Creetosis, there’s a video that’s “Just Another WOKE DEI Fallout Video Essay” by DRYWALL, yes the guy titled his video like that.
And I know S.T.A.G. content is a bit unused now that you do gameplay streams, but I really hope you and the S.T.A.G. crew, for old times sake, rip that video a brand new one.
I think it would be super entertaining to see and someone has to call out Bethesda shills, so why not you guys? 😅
And there still people hyped for next product. Or the ass fallout show that rapes and murders the lore of the games to get the tard audience.
Holy crap the part about the dam is so incredibly stupid & ignorant of Bethesda.
Bioschlock
13:50 wait, isn’t this just a shittier version of the nuca-cola dlc? (If that’s even possible)
Bugsthesda had an opportunity to use their Radiant Quest system to its fullest potential. But that required them to use ProcGen to _its_ fullest potential. Instead they half-butt it. They used ProcGen for the environment and used their classic “Set Pieces” for everything else. Which quickly became repetitive (at best).
What they should have done was have their set pieces mixed in with ProcGen locations. Some of which are purely ProcGen and others only partial set with ProcGen filling in the gaps. Then write each quest to take advantage of all the potential differences, so that every play through is interesting. This even goes hand-in-hand withe NG+ experience which undoubtedly would enhance it.
Just imagine in your first play through, you’re sent to a town in the mountains… and it’s a town dedicated to mining the local coal (coal is needed for some alloys, but coal only exists because carbon life forms, died, so it must be on planetary surfaces and not in space where the majority of heavy industry _should_ be located). Then the next play through, the town is a village on a mesa dedicated to farming. Same quest, similar tasks, different locations. Always keeping the player on their toes. It would be a very long time before the player sees everything, does everything, and uncovers all the potential variants.
But yea… That’s assuming Bugsthesda knew how to write (quests and world building)… which they obviously can’t at this time.
It is not late if no one knew it came out.
Slopfield: Sharted Aids
If you tell me that every voice line in this dlc was recorded by people from their home on their phone while taking a dump or falling asleep on bed, I’ll believe you.
It feels like it would have made more sense for the heir that abandoned his father to flee to some random planet that’s barely inhabited. As it currently is, it’s like the equivalent of having a quest to find one of Jarl Balgruuf’s kid’s who fled from Whiterun, just for you to discover that they’re camped out at the stables 100 feet away from the gate.
I knew about it and I did not buy it. I only played starfield in the first place bc it was on gamepass and I uninstalled in about 30 minutes.
Elder scrolls 6 is so fucked
Starfield is so shiningly bad and boring that I cannot read what its defenders write, I am embarrassed for them.
I’m not saying you should stop, but it does sting a bit when you play music from way better games over bethesludge.
Wow, imagine paying 30$ for this. I swear to god, i will never pay more than 99¢ for this junk. And this is coming from a guy that played 240 hours of atarfield makimg my own fun playin as if it was star trek, i was just a boring as cientists cataloguing minerals and fauna from planets… that was it, that was my fantasy…. A boring ass star trek scientist. I eventually snapped out of it when i ran out of planets and never played again
Hey Cree, I want to mention for your long review of Shartfield, can you double check the “Starfield is Bethesda’s/Todd’s magnum opus”? The only source I can find comes from a random Reddit post and nothing specifically quoted from Bethesda or Todd about it.
Only 40 minutes? Literally unwatchable
You see there is chalenge: trying to stay awake
So basically refusing to join the cult is the best option?
The sad part is that this DLC was included as part of the Premium Edition of the game when pre-orders went live. The fact that even the people who bought into the hype and got the Premium Edition didn’t even play this DLC speaks volumes of how terrible Bethesda’s creative output was with this game.
Bethdrones, bethdrones never change.
3:20 Could have got Fawkes to do it. It’s not just the characters in the game that want you to die for no reason, the people behind Bethesda Game Studios want you to die for no reason. They all belong to a whacked out occult religion. They expect you to d.i.e irl and that’s why they insult your intelligence..
7:00 Fire in low gravity is round, and snuffs itself without constant circulation.
The dune buggy was also supposed to be released with the DLC and yet it’s clear that their “handcrafted” world wasn’t built for it. It’s a useless vehicle and you can travel way faster by running and jumping while on Amp.
36:55 I don’t think the devs didn’t care, I think they have accepted that Starfield can’t be fixed.
Reminder that Emil got the varuun logo tattooed because he thought they were such a profound take on religion
This dlc is even worse than the base game
Honestly, one can only hope that they actually finally learn from this. While Fallout 4 got crapped on as well for its dumbass design decisions it was largely covered up by the generally positive reception to it. Starfield is probably the first BGS game thats gotten this much flack.
Personally I’ve given up on them and even somewhat on the ARPG genre — CRPGs are the way to go these days if you want a truly fantastic RP exerience.
Kind of off topic, but did you see that they added the “ghoul juice” inhaler from the fallout show into fallout 76? So now, FOR SURE, shit from the show is influencing the games DIRECTLY.
So Creetosis how are you enjoying rimworld?
well you see, when one lake drains into another through the plant, we just carry it back over to the otherside, fourhead
Bethesda’s “Peak Cringe” I cant help but think Todd or whoever has a puppet hand up his behind, is covertly trying to “burn it all down”
13:30 hmmmm sounds very familiar
We all knew dlc was released. I mean how we could not when fact was that it was terrible and even bigger disapointment for everyone
I still mourn TES6 before even the first screenshot is out because with the current “talent” at Bethesda you can’t expect it to be any good. It will just be another kooky silly fantasy world full of cliches that “can’t be serious because it has orcs and talking lizards” where no established lore ever mattered, dragons where ALWAYS evil and will now be standard enemies and RPG elements have no place in an RPG.
Jesus Christ the floating phantom enemies look SO stupid
Can’t wait to watch this in a whole sitting good shit cree.
Man, Far Harbor was definitely a lighting in a bottle. How did they go from making such an amazing DLC to this?..
I hate to “defend” the game but the zealots were always supposed to be an extremist offshoot of the main faction. I only know this cuz I recently played the vanguard quest line and that comes up cuz you have to go to the varuun embassy, which is right there in new Atlantis. I think it came up during that history tour you take too.
I love the fact that the gameplay is done with God mode on, it really doesn’t deserve our time
Starfield was made for GamePass, explains why it is bland and boring gameplay made for the lowest common denominator.
I always felt Starfield was a proving ground of sorts. What with the total freedom and creativity of not being beholden to decades of lore from TES or FO.
Needless to say…that may have been less of a burden and basically what carried them.
TES 6 is going to suck. We will not get another Morrowind comeback.
fartfield shatted space
“be good becasue of vibes”
Vibe Coding LOL
God, Elder Scrolls 6 is gonna be so shit.
the one time i tried to communicate with a starfield enjoyer and asked why they thought “the negative reception was undeserved” the response was “video games are subjective and i liked it”. i already knew i was going to get a negative iq answer but it was still shocking.
0:14 I, in fact, had no idea this game had DLC. I never bought or played Starfield but I knew about Oblivion DLC before I had access to the internet and before I ever played it… says a lot.
12:17 Have you considered it’s a handcrafted area and that should be enough?
all of this couldve been avoided if they just fired emil
I have played a decent amount of this game and if it wasn’t for it being on game pass I would have never played it. Hoped the outpost builder would be like FO4 so I could faff about with that but it was fucking terrible and the only thing I like is the space combat and ship building. Can’t believe that an Indie Studio can make a better ProcGen RPG (NMS) than Bethesda. Also the Pirate campaign was ok since I got to tell the space cops to get fucked.
The funniest thing is Starfield is Todd Howard’s idea of a perfect game…
Imagine playing this game, or giving this company any time or effort to critique its games for your own Google paycheck.
You’d work for Bethesda if given the chance, wouldn’t you?
I just came to say ‘jiz’
also like the pokemon music
I’m so glad I passed on that game.
Story do not matter much. Bethesda need to make combat more meaty, like in Robocop: Rouge City. Then i will be happy with game even if Emil stay as main lore guy.
What a God-damned shame.
Mr. Howard had… twenty-five years with this story. From first seed of the first idea, to final launch of the completed game. In that time, he had ample time to, at minimum, teach himself how to write it all out, get his George Lucas on. Instead of trusting known and documented (heh) screwup Pagliarulo with lead writing duties for his baby, this could have been his moment to shine.
Alas, that was not to be.
The sweet irony of getting a Fallout 76 ad watching this
More like sharted space
Who tf said star field is a magnum opus? I wanted the game to be great but you’d have to be blind and deaf to reach that conclusion
The one good thing about Starfield is that it proved that my intuition isnt completely broken. I had no interest in it from the start and it turned out to be a piece of ****
they made DLC???????
Devs making lazy DEI games, that are 90% AI generated, and 10% woke.
Im sick of diversity
6 month till next DLC, todd said its going to be 1 per year right?
This really feels derivative of all other Bethesda DLCs. Three factions, zealots, etc. Talk about zero creativity.
Emil makes Brandon Sanderson look like Cormac McCarthy.
There are people with dreams of greatness who lack talent and resources to realize them.
And then there’s a tragic tale of Todd the Howard, who got stuck in a company most known for open world RPG with deepest lore but all he wanted to make is a boring sci-fi looter-shooter.
I have no doubt Emil thinks this DLC is a masterpiece as evidenced by the varunn tattoo he got
only 40 minutes? Short man bad 🙁
Top of tower… big machine. Isnt that the ending of half life 2?
Idk if you saw Cree but you were getting blasted on reddit for the ranger power armor post, I dont remember all the detractions but a main one being the ranger armor was in season 1
Whats starfield? Never heard of it. I never heard about fo4 and 76 too. My memory and hearing are selective
Half a year later and this dlc is still 5 hours long
This video is a trial ngl, I watch because I am a loyal creetard, but starfields the dulllest topic ever
Cree you are worth the wait!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it as many times as I need to Emil Pagliarulo should not have the position that he has. That guy should be nothing more than manager at a failing GameStop in the Midwest. The guy is an idiot. Between his idiocy and Todd’s ego, Bethesda will never make another good game ever again.
0:20 oh dont worry i saw fardenpooben and his car.
Never played starfuels though
The ending of Shittered Space sounds like a reskin of the ending of Fallout 3 😆
the way bethesda “listens” is by taking the most public complaint and hyperfocusing on that *alone* basing their entire next project around it. people memed the dialogue in fallout 4 so they cut out voiced protagonists halfway through starfields development without making the dialogue better. people memed starfields loading screens, so they refused to let any shattered space quest leave the planet to limit the loading screens. and rumors are that since nobody played shattered space and made new memes about it, theyre still hyperfocusing on the same loading screen issue for TES6.
people have been telling them for literal decades what we want in extreme detail but they dont see us as fans or customers, they see us as obstacles that must be overcome to please investors who couldnt care less.
The one thing I will say you got wrong is that the base game does point out that they are zealots and not part of the main faction. As bad as Bethesda’s writing is, that was always there.
You know; I pirated this game… and I still want my money back
I also love that every piece of footage in this video is made with godmode on; the only real way this game is any fun
I fell for the Starfield hype like a moron and pre-ordered the game. Which means I already have the DLC included.
I was so disappointed with the game, that I didn’t know the DLC came out until days after. I genuinely couldn’t bring myself to re-install the game to play it.
I genuinely hope TESVI will be a catastrophic failure for them. Bethesda is hoarding two precious IPs, and they’re not doing anything worthwhile with them.
IIRC first DLC was promised “for free” as a preorder bonus, no?
The fact that this DLC came out of nowhere, with little marketing, tells me that this was 100% Cut Content that was intended to be in the final product. Or Bethesda had such a lack of faith in the quality of this DLC that they just wanted to get it out and hope that it would fly under the radar. Probably BOTH.
why is there still over 5000 concurrent players on starfield?
I know its not on purpose and just a speech pattern, but the fact you always sound like your speaking through gritted teeth when talking about Bethesda is rather comedic, great work on the vids.
All the talent that once made Bethesda studios great is long gone.
Another chef K.I.S.S. in storytelling by lord Emil the writerborn.
The next DLC will fix EVERYTHING
Just trust the plan
Cree, as a sensible human being, whose only upset at the fact that europeans are beating us at roga, kd love your perspective on kingdom come deliverance 2, as someone whose beaten both, and i already have over 150 hours in three playthroughs of the second game, id love your opinion, as well as your clapback to annoying people parroting what is clearly progressive game journo slop about it being inaccurate or offensive to its original audience when its clearly a celebration kf jts kriginal audience, unlike how american studios traat their audiences
Can i murder everyone in this dlc? No!? Then its not even worth trying, I’m going back to my genocide leming run of atomfall thank you
Who’s up Cree’ing their tosis rn?
Shitter Space.
I get the feeling Bethesda thinks everything they write is sacred. The only hook they had for this DLC was House Va’ruun, which they completely failed to build any intrigue or mystery around in the main game and instead they felt like tacked on meaningless lore. They expected “We get to see House Va’ruun?!” from the players, instead they got a resounding “Who?”.
10:48 this group of people puts both the other dactions on the edge of their seats and terrified them, perfect example of why this game shouldnt have been made
I regret buying Starfield. Even worse than it just being simply a bad game, it had so much potential that was just wasted due to poor writing, procedurely generated slop, and unnecessary features. Its telling that modders don’t even seem to want anything to do with it.
11:40 “Sure, you have only met insane members who want to destroy you up to this point but they are only a minority of the real group!”. I swear I heard this line of reasoning before in real life.
When you zoom out, you can clearly see that the map is made up of big square units
Even in the dlc, you still cant escape the trans problem with bethesdas writing. Bethesda is the perfect studio to allow trans (player) characters because they always have and always will write the player character as being the most important person ever and the only one with agency, while at the same time completely dehumanizing and degrading any good done by the character so they dont have to pay voice actors more than minimum wage to record lines. Not being able to even call you a man or a woman, using the terms he or she, implies if I wasnt here, this would still play out in the same boring and ineventful way it does when I am involved anyway.
I treated this game the same way that I did avowed, played through it as fast as possible, proved to everyone around me why it’s writing was ass, and used the litmus test of excuses to determine who I should keep around me. If they made an excuse for the mech ban, stop communicating about games, if they pretended the multiple wars between the fake factions was justified, same thing, if they pretended ther eis more than one straight couple in the main story, and pretend the majority of the characters being rampant two dimensional homosexuals is not a problem, also remove them from my friend group, I’m gayer than most people, and I still get so fucking annoyed by straight people pretending I want to be represented by facsimiles that you can’t even kill to make the games better.
Honestly after playing Stalker 2 (and I know they’re very different) I have very low confidence I’ll ever play another BGS game again
You can’t keep me in here, Milkatron! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!
Please make a video on warhorse stufios and kcd 2, they completely abandoned the literal selling point of the franchise (historical accuracy) to the point they just removed it from marketing
And well… Just like ya mentioned for saints row… They sold out to politics, second half of the game is full of it
4:49 I don’t know if they changed it since then (I very much doubt it though) but when the DLC launched, the way you even ACCESSED the DLC in the first place is horrendous. I and many others had no idea until you look up either some Reddit thread on it (seriously there were so many threads from people just asking how to start it, this shouldn’t be a problem Bethesda), or some guide telling you how to actually start the damn DLC. Most people genuinely assumed it was bugged, it was that bad. Unlike other DLCs, for some reason the quest doesn’t show up in your log when you download it. So you have no idea where to actually go. Instead, it ONLY appears after you travel to a different star system. Why?? You’ve never once told this.
If people don’t even know how to start your DLC, that’s already a huge problem from the get go.
Just so you know, the reason most people haven’t played it is because you have to pay for it, and the majority of the people who played starfield did so through gamepads and never purchased it, and had enough knowledge of Bethesda’s poor writing that they knew purchasing it would only further offend their intelligence.
The real DLC is new Starfield hate material to binge
Ah yes, my cozy trusty workshop which i enter through the hole in the shower room ceiling!
This is the thing that could be excused if the dungeons were proceduraly generated. Daggerfall dungeons are more realistic than those space stations
I thought shattered space was your funny way of labeling Starfield but this isn’t your review? This is DLC review?
…its been two years since Starfield came out…?
Using the word loosely but it’s funny how abusive Bethesda dialogue has gotten. You can be as cruel as the dialogue lets you and they’ll just pout and stick around as long as **you** don’t decide to attack them or kill them. Even when you say you’re not gonna do what they want you to, they’ll more often than not still go “well I’ll be here if you change your mind…” to not lock you out of a quest or decision. No agency, just existing to give you things to do and be verbal punching bags
I only know of shattered spaces existence due to how bad it is.
I wonder how long we’ll have to wait for the “Special Edition” with _maybe_ two DLCs and all of those overpriced creations that should have been base game.
Open fires, huh? Just what you want in a pressurized, oxygen rich environment. There’s no way this could ever go wrong.
Everyone’s favorite incel! How are ya buddy! You get on your BPD meds yet?
Another great review creetosis, love how well you go in deep with everything
I am so glad I don’t have to play this DLC, the fact this costs $30 is just shameful. I have way too many hours in the basegame, around 263, and no amount of DLC can make it any less boring, poorly written or intriguing.
Starfield was the worst pirated product i consume in my life
So i don’t care if they added more Slop has a SDlc , it’s not worth to torrent the game again
What is writing Bethesda does not know
Just when I forgot Starfield existed…
Creetosis tries not to bitch for 5 second challenge
Bethesda slander for my bday thank u for the gift❤❤
Starfield is a distilled version of Bethesda’s vaunted magic, stripped of all frills and additives and revealed for the tumorous mass of rot they are. Bethesda has no substance, no talent, no ability, and no value, and this, a game with no “restrictions” and “constraints” of old lore, fully open for them to go wild with their writing, proves it. This game is empty, a husk of cancer and mold without any of the golden filigree that tricked people into thinking their previous offerings didn’t taste like decay.
I’d argue that unspecified plural (such as “generations”) typically means “several” which would be a minimum of 3 or 4.
6:12 – I can literally hear the instructions to the writers – “Copy the holograms from Dead Money, but don’t make it too obvious, alright?”
It’s ironic that Fallout didn’t get a snake cult, despite Vipers and their cliffnote lore, but “serious” NASApunk sci-fi have them because… Um…. Just because.
Btw all starfield defenders got real quiet since the dlc dropped 💀
More like …
Shart in space.
Starfield is not something you make. It something you commit
YEEEEES! The glorious sound of Cree’s voice for when I’m busy doing other shit.
So glad you’re still chugging along. Been on the ride since I caught your Fallout 4 vids, before you remastered them.
Finally, all the suffering and bloodshed paid off.
This feels more like buildup for my much more preferred topic that is the Fallout show season 2 where likely the Kings will be demoted saying “Ey” every second and the plot twist that the Zeta aliens are the ones to give the Institute the various pieces of technology.
What I expected was a dice-rolled generation of caves just like say SCP Containment Breach does but no, it’s a non-randomized planet site. What is wrong with them? Did they run out of janitors?
The fact that this DLC is (allegedly) entirely cut content from the base game and Polished for a YEAR aNd yet it STILL turns out Boring, uninspired and badly written really shows you the Bethesda Quality Standards.
ah, the boring, cringey HR space game
funny how quickly the world forgot about “Bethesda’s first original IP in over 25 years”
Starfield is the only original work Todd ever created.
That explains many things, doesn’t it?
A lot of people give Bethesda a pass for writing, worldbuilding and game mechanics by saying games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls are “stuck with” prior lore and a cranky game engine.
But Starfield didn’t have ANY of those alleged chains holding it back, and it STILL ended up looking like “Fallout 4 in Space” but with even less coherent writing and emptier worldbuilding. Given total creative, editorial, and even financial freedom, this was straight-up the best Bethesda could do, even when working on Todd Howards’ personal decades-in-the-thought-process dream project.
She Shatter on my Space until I Void Phantom.
It is crazy how sleep-inducing this game is to many people and how monotonous and bland the DLC was. Being in that stream felt like pulling teeth trying to parse some of the basic but repetitive fuckups. Clipping geometry, awkward dialogue, inconsistent accents, poor level design, lack of meaningful consequences, bland and basic quest design. If this is what hand-crafted by Bethesda has become we have fallen so far from the glory days. Starfield and by extension its DLC have so little care for them in the zeitgeist that the wiki is still a barren wasteland, but I suppose that suits the game.
The most entertaining part of Shattered Space, was you being paid to stop playing Oblivion and suffer through the DLC on stream and the soundboard shenanigans that ensued.
