Starfield had decent framework and i put 80+ hours into the game. I wish they would do a 2.0 overhaul like cyberpunk. I love that modders are doing their thing with it but im not into paying to make the game better. I paid my 75$. I had to make my own fun in the game. If the ship combat, ship builder and docking/raiding other ships in space wasnt in the game i wouldnt have played more than 10 hours. Bethesda needs to overhaul this game instead of leaving it to modders to make their game a great game with deep systems but ultimately for a higher price for the consumer per mod. Thats so bad man.

‘Predicting the spin’: Few things are more certain than hate videos after BGS’ Starfield updates. I have a PS5 console. Fortunately my mid-level PC is able to play the game, which was nice but I’m using a controller with a mod that changes the icons to PS5 so it gets the job done until a port comes out.

Croud Overhaul is available on Xbox.
I was debating on buying it yesterday.

The crowd overhaul looks like it’s from a different game, that’s my only problem with zone79 it is over the top as well.

We need a mod that adds Yoda singing the song by Bad Lip Reading, “My Stick” into the game. Hahaha

I really don’t like the agism in Crowd Overhaul, why would you remove the elderly? It makes zero sense.

Crowd outfits are not categorized as playable outfits. In fact, they are primarily assigned to human crowd race only. In order to make them playable, new armor sets need to be created using the armor addons so that they can be playable for npcs and player. That’s why you couldn’t pick it up. I plan to make them playable at some point after my female body replacer mod initial release.

Richard, are you familiar with the videos of the Russian YouTuber Stalkash? He is a game developer himself and has many hours of videos in which he shows with examples why Starfield is the most beautiful and high-tech game today.

Paid mods are a good thing as they reward the authors for their work. Money is the best motivation.

These mods are pretty lacking. I was hoping for more space suits and weapons on the creation.

What Bethesda is doing for their modders is excellent. having a plattform where modders can upload thier mods and get paid for their work is great, for all of us, players, modders and Bethesda!

I have read some of the comments about “its free to download on nexus, but cost 500 on creations”. Sure the mod author could chose not to be on nexus, and stay only on creations, but i thinkt its down to the user to decide if they want to go free on nexus to try the mod, or go creations and send a small fee to the person(s) who spent hours creating something you end up enjoying. Or use the nexus mod to try it out, if you like it, buy it on creations to show support to the modders.

What no one should do, is to complain about “Bethesda greed”, when they are making modding something you could make a living on. The only greed i see here is players wanting everything for free.

I am not a modder, but i have some excellent ideas for how to fill all that empty space in starfield, thankfully there are modders out there with the same ideas and knowledge on how to make it happen.

I partially agree with that a lot of the mods are just translations . I check Nexus on almost daily basis and I see more translations to French and Italian than actual new mods . I’m sure I can figure out how to make it only display English mods . And that would probably cut the number of mods in half .

It would be cool for starfield to increase it’s player numbers even more ( and get more funding for more DLCs /patches) by coming to playstation aswell.

Completely agree on your take of ragetubers and other bad faith critiques of starfield ( comparisons with the Cyberpunk launch are just exposing anyone as delusional – CP2077 had one of the worst AAA launches because it was pulled from stores, as you pointed out).

Being sick has put paid to my plans for the entire weekend. I am only mentioning this because the only other thing I have to say is “Aladdin”.

I am taking a break from Starfield until Bethesda adds something interesting to the game, but the Falkland Systems mod is tempting me.
I wish someone would mod the faces of these NPCs to be 20% ugly, 60% average, and 20% attractive.

Aladdin! I am enjoying the new Falklands ship parts. Two things i would like to see more of in Starfield is ship parts and energy weapons. I have noticed many mods to add more ballistics weapons to the game and I have a couple downloaded but I still feel energy weapons need more variety. I would love to see a laser pistol that is a hand cannon. A laser equivalent to the razorback pistol.

I’m a primarily Xbox gamer. I do not own a Playstation, but I absolutely want starfield to make it there. This is simply a game that needs to be experienced by everyone.

One of my favorite mods this week is N12-Energy Shields by N12-Miyuki. It adds halo shields but you can change the sound to Dune which I use and pairs well with the nomad space suits. You can also have it apply to NPCs by level requirement and percentage of enemy will have shields per encounter. It’s a really good change in combat especially if you have very high damage being dealt to npcs/you. It also gives viability to EM weapons since they disrupt the shields too. Fantastic mod.

What mod removes the armour from npc’s when you loot it off them?

your “ragetuber” comments are spot on. haters are nothing more than bandwagon hivemind drones looking for validation through clicks. their arguments are asinine at best, and telling of the fact that they never played the game long enough to see how brilliant it is. they are like the same people who trashed Skyrim when it came out and now hail it as a masterpiece.

I enjoy Starfield and the recent video about it being played as a comfy game resonated with me. But I can’t defend what has become a cash shop for a single player game. I play MMORPGs too, including Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76, both Bethesda franchises. I think we can all agree the cash shops on those games are very bad and shoved in your face all the time. In the multiplayer space that has been normalized but most people don’t like it. And I don’t want that to be the future of Starfield or any Bethesda single player game.

Last I checked, there are just over 3000 Creations available. I know there is a fair bit of overlap, but there are mods that are exclusive to Creations as well, so I’m not sure what the total mod count might be. Lots of options to sort through.

A lot of folks have been calling for a single seat fighter for a while, everytime i think about what kinda single seat fighter i’d like, i always go back to the 2 classic Glenn Larson productions. Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica. Both designs would be great stuff.

One of these days i’d like to get in the weeds with the number of mods SF has given the duration of the game vs an average of available mods for other IPs with how many years the IP has been active as a variable. I’d be curious over the monthly/yearly rate the IPs have and where projections might place SF at other timing milestones.

A lot of this SF hate comes from people who a) don’t understand the product and/or b) doesn’t understand differences in software dev. When you’re walking into an Agile product with Waterfall expectations, i can see why one would be confused but it makes your criticism half baked at best, or not even applicable in a lot of cases. The idea that external “pressure” caused them to pay attention to a product which has a 5 year delivery schedule and a 10 year product lifecycle is hilarious. Maybe they can crowd source some new script writers this year, we’ll see.

The spin is most definitely coming, and all the true haters of the game will insist that any positive progress Starfield made is due to their incessant negativity and complaining. The amount of people that I see on Reddit or in YT comments that tell me I’m wrong for having fun with Starfield and I’m “part of the reason we keep getting trash” is insane. I never blindly praise the game, I acknowledge its faults, yet when I say I think it’s BGS’s best *overall* game with specific reasons why, and I get shredded for saying so. The predictable rage-tubers and their hyper-negative coverage of the game is a huge part of the social contagion surrounding Starfield, which then gets passed onto the average consumer and directed to anyone who disagrees. I don’t get it lol.

I think we’re going to get a resurgence of positive sentiment with this game over the next year or two. People who were duped and easily influenced by the rage-tubers will give it a shot and realize that it wasn’t the disaster they’d been made to believe it was. As is the case with every BGS game, it’s hated upon release and then praised after a few years. Fallout 4 was seen as the worst game ever by a lot of “fans” and was trashed for years. Now, those same people have “revisited” Fallout 4 and are saying that it was an underrated masterpiece. I’m just happy to have been enjoying the great game Starfield is since day one of early access.

The mod “starfield crowd overhaul” is incompatible with other mods that increase population density. I invested my money and in the end he showed me naked citizens 😂

Aladdin! I saw many of these mods on creations store. It goes to show Starfield is becoming as Skyrim is over time. I’m using my test character The Hacksmith for insuring the game is ready to go.

I legit want to get back into this game but it just feels empty and dull after you entered Unity several times. It needs a massive expansion and overhaul of gameplay mechanics which probably can’t happen until a next Gen release.

Has anyone else got constant screen freezing when in neon or the well? It’s really random and then sometimes it freezes for a good few seconds

I’ve been helping test new content. Highly recommend Va’ruun habs II, by ShadowWeaver. I made a Va’ruun themed ship to pick up Andrejah with. ShadowWeaver’s done an unbelievable job on the new habs. They match very well with the HoteTech Hydroponics Habs too. Great time for builders right now. Aladdin.

Aladdin! Yes I believe we will see a shift in 2025. A Sony state of play is rumored to happen this month so maybe we see something Starfield there. Maybe it’s next week. After seeing that picture in the video.

There are rumors of a big announcement next week for Starfield. Some are talking of a PS5 port others about a big update for the game.
Dunno if it’s true but that could be interesting. Honestly I don’t believe in a huge update but hey who knows ^^

I’ve blocked and chosen do not recommend on so many channels all I get on my YT home page now are K-pop and cooking videos. Not sure how K-pop got on there.

Rhe Crowd overhaul is a good idea, but the age game modifications are very controversial. But functionality, my main worry is a lot of Zone’s clothing snd suits require disabling all mods, restarting, reenabling almost every time. I had to finally give them up as I cant be bothered to do that ‘every time’.

Looking at your review I’m really sad npcs get great outfits but we dobt have access . Like the vanilla ‘layered tee’. (Allidin Lol).

Zone’s work is just over the top and the best there is. This is just an amazing showcase of his talent. “Some” company should grab him up.
