@CrimsonFlyboy This mod has always been part of my load order since Starfield mods came out on Xbox Series X and I have this mod set as the last mod at the bottom of my load order.
If I choose unlock companions, I just have to walk up to any of them and ask them to follow me, and they will follow me.
But I’m on an Xbox Series X.
So the mod does work without any problems.
I always choose to unlock all the companions, start here 0 ship port, and then any of the last choices of what I want to start as.
I use most of skk mods, haven’t gotten this one yet, one of my favorite modders for sure. Thanks for reviewing it, looks awesome
Great content as always, thanks crimson!
Did I hear you say “Alright Yakup, and we’re teleporting.” right after naming your character Penelope? Surely you did not just randomly say my name, but I cannot UNHEAR it now. Roughly at the 3:40 mark. Going to play this clip for my parents later. Thanks for making my day.
This is one of my favorite mods. Beware the random map marker start. It likes to drop me on Niira, where I promptly get eaten by the Sirens.
Edit: And then it happens to you, moments after I post.
Thanks to @SKK for the mod and @Crimson for the commentary.
Must try this before I even try a NG+ play through.
You should give the creation Random Access Memories RNG+ a try, it’s a seemingly random new game, and you don’t get the Frontier at all. Love the videos.
Vasco has a mod to say more player names
[[Vasco recognizes more player names]]
Ive used this for testing my load order before the soft cap fix. I have found the Frontier, while your ship, is not ‘assigned’ to you yet..Just like on vectera before the pirates…I always have to jump in and sit in the pilot seat/open ship inventory to ‘claim’ it..then I can assign crew/companions as normal.
And dyi. When I asked a lo g time ago the author said ‘custom’ was their preferred loadout. If you want a unique one you just have to manually edit your copy (but I don’t know how. I’m assuming via edit, etc..).
I actually like the early game where you have to get by with whatever you can scavenge.
Literally the 1st mod i downloaded after playing the Starfield prologue the 1st time
Coffee time! Cool mod for random game starting. Thanks for the video. Great review.
Heads up you didn’t actually get to see the Yes option.
When you picked different location it deselected ‘Yes Join constellation.’
It has to be the lodge start if you pick Yes.
That scripts that first conversation where you join.
Coo mod. But I’ve been so ridiculously OP now for so long . Even on Extreme. Starting over just seems, well, funny.
Bethesda sort of effectively hardcoded the Frontier being your first ship. Rather than try to change that, it would probably be easier to just give players 150k credits so that they can purchase something.
This is doing the rounds since the release of ck. Thought there was an update. I talked with skk on a few occasions and he makes it pretty clear that this is not an alternate start, but a fast start, just like what he did in fo4. Youre still following the same script with the added option to remove constellation from the picture (which I believe will lock you out of the main quest). Pretty sure freestar and vanguard needs you to kickstart the main quest so youre probably locked out of these as well if you dont join constellation.
I wonder if you spawn on mars if you pick Marine load out.
I’ve tried this mod, it works well. I think the mod author said somewhere that there were issues with trying to add ship selection, so he skipped it in the interest of keeping things simple and safe.
If you dont know what to review could you give a review to the starvival mod?
