According to my experience with games upgrading from previous to current gen, not a single one has charged me anything extra. Forza (base and Horizon), all of the CoD and Gears games. Not a single one has charged for the updated version of an already purchased and installed game. There really is no way to do as such because it is essentially just an update if you own it digitally. People that have it by means of a disk, I believe have to purchase next gen digitally or hard copy at full price. The digital store won’t recognize that you’ve purchased a hard copy of a game. Just that there are files for that specific game within the hard drive(s). So D11 would have to do something on the back end for the hard copy owners.

Gonna have to spend 60 bucks again for a game that won’t work for 2 weeks again…… and have more bugs than a cheap motel….. hard pass.
