I thought the only way to get low grade fuel was barrels, and that I was being bottle necked in my progression -_-

I just got killed by a guy but he revived me and gave me all my stuff back

1. Bag run all the way to the furthest point away from the start and dangerous monuments
2. DON’T LOOT ANYTHING
3. Find a spot with tons of Trees and Stone Nodes, preferably without any neighbours.
4. Farm 3000 Stones (4 nodes) / 1000 Woods (2 Trees) with basic tools (Stone pikaxe first)
5. Store resources in small Satchel bag (Fill bag like this: 1K Stone, 1K Stone, 1K Stone, 1K Wood, Stone Pickax, Stone Hatchet)
6. Build a starter 1×1 base well hidden between cliffs/trees (Chad cube by Reksmore). Just 1×1 shell with wood door + lock no TC. farm for TC after that.
7. Farm Farm Farm until you have enough to build the main base of your choice (find a youtube video)
8. Produce scrap in preferred way. Once main base established, put few 1×1 Chad Cube bases with Vending Machines around preferred scrap sources.
9. Setup a Vending machine at main base. Sell 1 Wood for 500 Scrap and send scrap to your main base this way every 500 scrap.
10. Have fun! 🙂

Extra: You can build a quick 1×1 Right next to Ranch. Farm Poop, sell Fertilizer at Bandit Camp.

15:04, maybe just me, also haven’t played rust, but i think you should keep the sleeping bag outside and get a sleeping bag/starter base with some stuff in there if you get raided and wanna take them by suprise

Often you dont have enough resources for the TC & boxes.
So I am usually would stash all my resources & comps, & do all the farming & building….

Otherwise someone might kill you & take all your stuff, before you can farm & build anything.
And then you have to start again with a rock.

Then farm to finish the base.
Nobody would bother with an empty TC, & you have storage.

This game is just too stressful and unbearable. I can’t manage to build a base that some random dude kill me in the night while i can’t even see him but somehow he can, this game is full of cheaters or what ? I won’t even speak about the progression scale, as a solo you spend more time restarting than playing the game. I can’t even get into the mid game, this is just sad.

Man I really wish I would’ve watched this a couple days ago. Just got into rust and figured, okay lets hop in. Joined an older overloaded server kept getting slayed. Finally after about 7 hours I rolled into the 3rd with all the hardcore, don’t go into areas. Build a base, armor, etc. All this while playing on Sunday, thinking it was Monday. Nope, server wipe on Monday. AHHHHHH so like all the things you said don’t do in the beginning, I did, and felt the frustration lol. Excellent video !

I builder a wooden house and had great stuff,But when I loaded back In my house was gone as well as my materials. I also lost my radiation suit and melee weapons. Can players still raid you while you’re not logged in? I locked my house..what the fck did I not do ? I see other players houses still Intact and I also crafted a sleeping bag. Great job clearly explaining the start in Rust. Got tons of hours in Rust and you were disclosing the secrets to a solid start. You should mention that no matter what – you will die in game and do not let that discourage you, just be prepared by carrying minimum necessary to do what you need to do – bank in base or hide-bags continuously!

Well in the chat they were saying to protect me and whatever, and I stole a horse from someone and tried to get back to them, but I just kept dying, so I gave up

Best base start? 2×1 with a triangle foundation on the right side.

Start by building a 1×1 with a double door, put a TC as close as possible to the right corner facing the wall. You can then put 2 small chests to the left of the TC and 2 sleeping bags in front. Your loot is now secured.

Next, build another square foundation, and facing away from your current 1×1, place a single door on the far right hand side.

After that, place a triangle foundation outside of that door, and place another door on the right side. You now have a 2 door airlock where any enemies are unable to see inside your base, even with two doors open. Your furnaces go into the opposite corner from your airlock, and you can then upgrade it from there on with things such as half wall shelves in the TC room, a garage door instead of a double door, a workbench on the right as you come in through the airlock etc.

my only issue so far with rust is how hard it has been to find cloth and stone. its really hard to get a sleeping bag/basic tools as if you die with that stuff you may not find any more for a while, ive tried several servers, and i do know what stone/hemp looks like, i just cant find it to save my life.

I’ve been playing for 6 hours, and so far my biggest accomplishment was getting a single stone wall upgraded seconds before someone decided to destroy the wooden wall behind me and kill me lol.

I’m sick of getting killed every corner I turn. Getting to the point where I hate this game. It seems like it’s impossible to play without friends so if anyone is looking to team up or offer advice hmu. This is affecting me more than it should the rage is real.

I had about 80 hours and was really starting to get into the game before I made a mistake I regret. I downloaded some hacks to use the ESP (no aimbot, no stealing stashes, or using the ESP maliciously) I just wanted it to protect myself in PvP because I was tired of getting smashed. It seemed like everytime I encountered a player I never saw or heard them coming and they had no recoil on their guns and would beam me instantly.

Long story short, don’t resort to this like I did, no matter your intent. I am now publisher banned and HWID banned, so I can no longer play Rust and have to play the shitty console version. I still continue to watch these types of videos in hopes that one day I can return to PC Rust, but take the tips into Rust Console.

The building part helped me a lot it actually helped me with making better bases :]

Your voice mental lol…everytime u speak u have soft voice until u get to the last one or two words when Ur voice changes to a high pitched mouse like deep sqeak almost violent and Aussie sounding..it’s really annoying.have a listen to it now I’ve pointed it out.lol

The most important thing to do before any of this..I’d say get spear or bow n arrow clothes but then head to bandit or outpost. Now farm barrels asap. Every time u get bit go into safe and convert to scrap,make bag and put down near Ur safe area choice. Then go back to safe and kill self. Spawn from bag go back safe and grab from body Ur clothes spear and now etc. Ur dead body/bag good for forty min now.continue Barrel farm and when u change to scrap.go back to body and grab stuff. Kill self again .once u have 150 scrap u can buy electric pic.thia makes farm wood n stone real quick .then go back to this guys guide.

Sooo a bone knife is the best tool to harvest from animal ? U think a real knife would be best

I have about 500 hours in which I started and stopped playing in 2017-2018. Only now just getting back into the game.
I have been on and off joining with mates over the last month just getting a feel to it again. Looking to start a solo wipe shortly and this video is going to help alot.

Last time I played bps were non existent, there was about 3 monuments. No horses, no vehicles. So the game has changed alot. Thanks for the video.

I have given up I tried for ten hours and. I keep making the base and then get raided in the next ten minutes 😭

It dosent even matter were you start. Because me and my friend got the game a few days ago and we spawned in a starter area only to be killed by people with rifles and machine guns which all ready made us not wanna play anymore. We even have been attacked my fresh players from the start!!! This game is so annoying

On console rust you can kill and respawn at your base if you havr a sleeping bag then harvest your own dead body for animal fat and bone fragments not sure if this works on PC.

dont start hitting trees get yourself straight to your build location collecting cloth on the way and get a bag down then get your starter up try to get some cards and run monuments i didnt watch after he said get a spear good luck

is there any way to start with the underwear? my little brother won’t leave me tf alone so i won’t be able to play this game if i don’t have some sort of clothing.

this is good tips and all but it is almost impossible since you will 100% be killed before you can do any of the later game stuff

I was asking for rust for my b day and my mom looked around at some vids.
She saw about the hemp plants for cloth and started saying it “was going to wreck your brain”

Im new in this game and i died 10 times.
3 by some random dog at spawn
5 by players randomly killing me after i tell them i have no loot.
And 2 by simply trying to spawn at a good location.

Why is the people in rust so toxic? I was even tricked to by some person telling me they were not gona kill me and gave me loot then says “thats my loot bitz get out a here”

I just don’t understand this at all.
