Really the only people harmed by this update are the ones not cheating. As it is now nearly impossible to stand and shoot ( not for the cheaters tho ) and also makes it much harder to outplay due to skill gap. While you sit here and gloat, so awkward.

Bro you need to pay attention to your servers. Not only are there cheaters but, you have people that have the ACTUAL name of their cheating device in their gamer name ( Xim, Zen, etc.)

Your server needs some work brother, its got obvious cheaters. Quite a few with zim and zen in their name. 4k hrs btw.

I’m not sure quite how much you play but the way rust is going only helps big groups on both pc and console. The recoil is also only going to help people with 3rd party devices or those who can / have sank weeks into PTB. I’m assuming you didn’t know but matrix and zen had scripts within hours of new recoil, standing and crouching, moving side to side. We will 100% see a drop off in players but it will be temporary, mostly because it’s easier to learn than the old recoil. like PC we’re going to see a lot of SARs and P2s

Im excited for all the new changes but as a day 1 player the new recoil is going to be iffy, it wont be bad but it will definitely help cheaters in the long run, as they wont have to crouch/worry about bloom bc they have scripts, but it will make it easier to point out and report cheaters tho, but thats if facepunch wants to even do anything about them on console

Yeah only. Get ptb if you buy the most expensive part of the game if you have have bought the normal version on old gen you don’t get ptb when you go to new gen

Sadly new recoil wont stop cheaters. it will always be like that. Cheaters finds a way around it.
What if Cheater device can read console before where the shot gonna end up, Its only look random for us.
Its digital, Console know where the bullets will go.
Then device maybe can change it within a millisecond, and take control over bullet allreddy it goes out from Console,
So Cheater barely notice the process, when cheaters shoot. I think Its gonna take max a week then we see cheaters again.
Just look how its on PC. they been fighting with cheaters for like 10yrs.
Don’t think this revolutionary thing gonna stop the cheater all of a sudden.
If Anticheat was so successful, then why change recoil then?
Its just sound good. that cheaters cant manage the new bullet spray. blabla.
I think Game/servers need to have active people watch for cheaters when it’s someone that report a player.
And they ban that way. 70% of cheaters gonna pass by the anti cheat like on PC.
The lack of Mod, Admins thru the years, have been bad. D11 did nothing for like 4years.
And now every thing should be good over 1month.
Some community-servers are ok, some have Mod/Admins like 30% of the servers.
But they can have like 0-3 active mod/admin. they cant keep up with all cheaters etc.
New Recoil wont stop cheaters. Sorry. New recoil only gonna piss legit people off and rage quit.
I’m halfway to get another game to spend money on, alreddy spend to much on this game in skins 340+, prob spend like 600$+.
And it feels like a BETA game now on new gen, and buggs still pop up now and then in the game. And BP wipe all the time.
Iv stop grind for BPs because they gonna wipe at end of month anyway.
before on old gen you could grind solo for BP for 1-2 month then you had the BPs for 3 more month.
Im start lose interested with Rust, all change back and forth.
I maybe comeback half yr later see if Rust got better.

A team from Japan joined our server , now all the airdrops land at their base ( which they build but never seem to use any nodes ) and they collect candy for the Halloween event in 5’s and 10″s but yeah recoil .

im sorry jade but the mlrs will mostly get used by large groups not small cause the bigger groups will have more access to the ammo and target thing. theyll use it to either seige raid someone by constantly bombarding them while also having another team at the target base fighting/preventing repairs. ya some small groups on servers where theres no big groups will use it but itll mainly be bigger groups and some trolls.

Am sorry but it won’t help with cheaters. It will benefit cheaters now they can stand up spray ak with zero recoil while strafing unlike a controller that can’t do that and they will be forced to crouch to spray ak
