Just so you know, electrical branches have been glitches ever since their release so you can’t use switches with them properly. If you have a battery running into a branch with, say, 8 power set as the branch out going directly into an off switch or a blocked blocker or something similar, the battery will always be using that 8 power, even though it shouldn’t be. So you cannot save power that way.

The only real solution is to run all your batteries directly into a switch before anything else, because that at least does work properly and prevents any power from being used if the switch is off.

Because of this, large batteries are mostly irrelevant unless you like wasting power or have one circuit that uses more than 50 power. Just use one medium battery for each unique circuit in your base is my best advice.

Connecting multiple power storages to a root combiner doesn’t work. They will connect but the power draw is shared. This effectively nullifies any advantage perceived.

Could you do the same thing with the toggle on a memory cell

It’s a root combiner. The switch is not the root.

I guess I’m advanced because everything that was said seemed pretty obvious to me. Lol 😆 shit man you’ve taught me a lot I hadn’t realized I got this far till now

Electrical branch, when you set power through left side that power will always draw. if you set the draw to 95, your battery will always be drawing 95 through that branch regardless if anything is connected or not. generally for hbhf sensors they are a bit expensive since you do need more components but generally you have a branch draw a small amount dedicated for that hbhf and the +1 power it can pass through which is usually used for blockers, switches, or some form of alert system and or trigger system for a timer.

Been trying to hook up my search lights to a RF receiver, so when i push the button on my transmitter, it turns lights on, and if i click it again, it turns em off again. So far all i managed to achieve is that i can turn on ( or off) the lights as long as i hold the transmitter button down ( like in your tesla trap bit).
But i want to just click it to turn on, and it stays on until i click it again. Any ideas ?

Good vid, I’ll watch the rest in a second, but I had to stop to say… Please…please stop doing the thing where you wiggle the whole screen in small circles to point something out, you’re fucking up my eyes. Thanks!

In your setup number two with the turret and timer on door you speak about power efficiency, but your use of a splitter is the worst way to actually save power. In this way you need 10 power for the turret, which means in the best setup with only two active outputs from the splitter you would need 21 power, 10 for each output + 1 for the splitter. So in this case you still send 10 power to the door controller which only needs 3 power to work. With branches you would have saved the last 7.

Thanks for the video – I don’t understand what your problem is with the ROOT combiner? It does as it should – combines roots of power. I kinda get that you want to use it as an gate, but you have the gates for that. The only small annoying thing with it is that the “and” gate, doesn’t combine the two, but only chooses one. It would be cool to see that they changed THAT, because that’s the only limiter in terms of not having ROOT combiner take other inputs than ROOT combiners and power sources.
