They are buffing Zergs every fkn Minute.
I used to play in smaller groups but build smart Bases with good Turret coverage.
Better to defend against 500 ppl.
First the sleeping bag limit. Now the turrets. Idk mate. If you are a 20 man Zerg u dont need turrets because usually you only need 8 in compound and 4 on roof while ur whole clan is on to prevent grubbing.
And then the stupid number 12. If it was at least 16, so you can distribute them evenly when u build a symmetrical base. Like wtf. 2 bedrooms, 6 roof, 8 compound, 2 Windmills. 2
Im rly thinking about quitting Rust rn.
yay, another massive W for zergs and massive L for solo, duo, trio and small groups. facepunch really knows how to screw over the little groups with almost every update they have released in the past few years
so if i build i raid base with a turret close to a target base i cannot power a turret cuz its close to another player’s turrets wth
So if you have a competing base next to another, only one….can have 12 turrets on at anytime… or each can have turrets working on the opposing side. Or everyone who uses them has to do a complicated door opening circuit that only works if your neighbors isnt activated….
why would they do this limited to 12 turrets per 40m wtf. offliner’s dream!!!

This is objectively, one of the worst changes to rust that ive ever seen. It’s a buff to offline raids that no one asked for. A nerf to smaller groups against larger groups and overall restricts creativity in a way that feels very bad.

Lots of modded servers have increased their turret numbers within 40 meters, we’ll probably see people unhappy with these changes simply migrate away from official.

That’s nonsense, you make it even easier to offline. the roof collapses lose their meaning. If a raider doesn’t want to RAID a base with lots of turrets, he doesn’t have to do this! But everyone should decide for themselves how much time they want to invest in strengthening their base!
Plz tell the devs to fuck off with this we literally need something more than turrets to just defend a offline and they gonna do this💀💀

If something stupid like this will be added to break the game its time to sell all skins and switch to another game that isnt killed by stupid devs
it takes so long to start pc , start rust and especially go into a server. with only 12 turrets they probably need to destroy 3 or 4 and they have clear path and yes your smart alarm wake you up but before you are in the game they are already flying away with the loot. this will buff offliners and nerf smart alarms and online defending. now people will not make open cores anymore , we will go back to bases with 6 suicide bunkers and 6 external tc bunkers lol

Btw this is easy to resolve just add a hbhf sensor and only the turrets in range of a player turn on… you will conserv on the energy as well.

Another W for the big zergs that AFK all night in their shooting floor, and another L for the trios and quads that don’t play 16-20 hours daily like every battle metrics shows the big clans doing. Sad
I think this is messed up….they will probably change this slightly but just doing an overall 40m can bring a lot of problems….firstly if you raid a base and they have 12 turrets or more you cant put a turret outside your raid base?
