I recommend this base design because of the open core, in the open core alone you can fit at least 16 large boxes and 16 small boxes if you do it a different way by not adding the ramp, the only I dislike about this video is it doesn’t show how much rockets and c4 it takes to raid it when it is fully upgraded

Edit: when you get the externals down put tc on first floor so when they raid through doors they think ur poor af and don’t raid into main loot

At first when i built this on a build server on console i thought it was crap because the tc was cheap to get to then i realized that the external tc make that irrelevant and i realized its not actually super cheap to raid its quite expensive and you can’t fully secure the raid without raiding both eternal tc and suddenly i realized i should start building this every wipe

Should upgrade the floor under main lootrooms so they can’t be softsided. Maybe transfer tc to main loot where the furnaces are located. Rotate the wall on the lootrooms that is softsideable. Otherwise its a great base! Nice work man!

the only change i would do to the base is where the entrance is into the main core… instead of ground lvl i would put in a ladder hatch in one of the 4 loot rooms on the bottom set I mean yea… thats 2 full boxes of storage ur missing out on but full armored wall instead of armored door to me sounds alot safer honestly plus they would have to blow up not only the hatch but also the garage door / armored door if u wanna go super chad about it

This base looks very nice, i love the design. I only have 3 issues with it : since it’s a solo base, i don’t think it’s a good idea to rely that much on turrets in the comphound for boxes/lockers protection (it’s very rare for a solo to get that many turrets on vanillas) and the second point is that it would be super nice if you could find a way to attach the shooting floor to the base, i know that externals are great for many reasons, but it doesnt really fit a small solo base like this one since it requires so many steps/ressources and everything has to be built very fast for it to not decay etc (i know that it would raise the upkeep a lot but multi-TC is a no go for a lot of solos out there imo). And last, the fact that you have to build so many “useless parts” (and i mean things that don’t add to the defenses in their to be built stage) before you actually have some honeycombing and a rooftop… Otherwise great design man, i’ll definetly try it out with a few tweaks (also the base would suit a duo/trio by the size and the “opencoreness” you gave it, and in this scenario the externals are perfectly fine)

I like the Haven more because of the bunker.

There is a much better window defense system and it also works with auto turrets (and prevents spearing).

Start with square on ground. On 2 sides place door frames. Into those 2 doors place sheet metal double doors. One square is full normal wall (depends where your core is, you either show a weak side or hard side).
Now on last square space place down 2 halfwalls. Destroy the one under and replace with the low wall. For roof either use roofs or normal square, depends on how you build a base.
On the back wall, place a small box (or bigger one). This allows you do see down, while also preventing enemy from looting you. While rockets can still fly, you have 2 sheet doors that you open and this makes the hole for a rocket to pass even smaller, making it almost imposible to hit the back wall.

If you have a turret inside, you can place 1 square infront of low wall and chain link fence infront of it.

Also, i realy dont recomend putting triangles inside your base as experienced raiders can see where you store loot/have a tc and just raid via wall directry to it. Not to mention you make it easier for them to go on top of your base with twig.

And another solo suggestion. Use the stairs bunker in your base as it takes almost no space and it auto-seals if some1 starts raiding you and you left some doors open in base.
Also general rule is to go normal 1×1 space — 0.5 space on top honeycomb — 1 top space for walking — 0.5 space again honeycomb on top as this will prevent any wana be raiders from top down rocketing your base for cheap. Metal steps also work wonders inside those. (but only in honeycomb on ground lvl)
