Why is it that Developers are swapping basic PC related mechanics to Smartphones? >_> They should rather include offline-private server options like “Subsistence” has. THAT would be a MAJOR step forwards. The problem with this much power is rust will become stale meat, As people will know they are being raided and they either despawn or move or spend the loot. Even worse the most loving thing for everyone about rust is Raids which will become undoable because of this app and people will lose interest.

If this could pair with the smart turret design, that would be so cool. You could get notified if someone has drained the turret, or if it has a target with the different outputs from it. Overall really neat addition that will definitely make gameplay for solo or smaller groups a lot easier, as their lack of numbers can mean their downfall

Just 1 question can the devices in game paired with multiple phones? I mean you can imagine a group of 5 trying to turn on the traps in base when getting offline raided.

I gotta say rust has a very unique electrical system it’s so awesome

I think the idea is cool to have an app that shows server information and such but I feel that it’s an unfair advantage to be able to activate things in game from your phone. It basically makes it so that you dont always have to play when being attacked which ruins the immersion and the point of even going offline if you can just control things while offline. And activating defenses while offline can be a real cheap move if you know nakeds or just anyone is trying to travel past your base and you just activate defenses to kill them. And the feature to make it look like you’re online when you’re not is also unfair because then it doesn’t give people a chance to raid or anything or do anything because they dont know if you’re online or not. While all this is cool and ya rust isn’t fair, it ruins the point of playing the game and doing everything when you can just do stuff with the tap of a button on your phone. This is all my opinion.

I have an awesome base idea. Have a ton of rooms but each one has a ceiling lined with Tesla coils. Or make a trap base that when you walk through the front door two garage doors will open up and Tesla coils them death. You could also make a difficult to raid base with a ring of coils around the base.
