I think the tech tree is a really smart addition, good players/groups always manage to get the BPs they need. The tech tree just helps others stay on par and eliminate the randomness of needing niche items of low value. That + the recoil changes were designed to give a lower entry level to Rust.

Honestly more servers need to do the no tech tree for atleast the first few days of wipe. It makes it so people can’t get ak and rockets within a few hours of wipe. I stopped playing on non pve servers because people/clans just grinding scrap and totally decimating the entire server

Love watching the likes of these guys but I play solo and today I was raided twice by 4 man for nothing but a few hundred wood and some seeds….. Half hour later I was struggling in the desert as a few clans had built overnight and the same clan went through my new wood doors for 120 wood, 26 stone and 2 items of clothing…. So I went close to outpost and quickly got a stone base down with metal doors only to be griefed by a 3 man who raided as soon as I put wood walls back down…. They think they are pros when it took them about 2 minutes for 3 of them to hit me from a few yards, embarrassing…… I then get back from outpost to see a guy around my base but he leaves…. I get into my base with a few k stone ready to upgrade when. Boom I’m dead….. How the fuck did one of them get in my base with tc still in place and no walls blown… It’s happened a few times recently so either a glitch or cheats….. Despite console fix I’m still getting no. X on most trees or the shine on nodes if you can find a bloody node. And now wood is phasing when I upgrade walls… Time for a break far too many toxic menchildren

I think that not having tech tree in rust would be one of the best updates in the game, bring it back as how the game used to be. Now you can farm for six hours straight to get all the bps without any risk involved. The monuments are dead and there is really little to no pvp in them, servers are dead 3 days into wipe cause the progression is easy. Every time blooprint drops a solo vid you know it’s gonna be funnnnnnnn and funnyyyyyyyyy
I love it that you brought it back with the no techtree, as I disslike the techtree aspect, as it has made the game way to easy for bigger groups, and harder for the solos. And if there was any chance to take away the ability to go down in the tunnels, go oil rig and have cargo spawn in on wipeday, that would make such a huge difference in gameplay, as it would either postpon peoples attempts to do proper raiding, Airddrops would still be fine, but at least make the first day, kinda primlocked, unless you found good gear in elite crates on launch, or military tunnels. This would bring back parts of old Rust, that was fun to play…because today, you pretty much grind for one-two days, get a little pvp, and after that, the third day, wipe usually feels over, as you have done pretty much everything the game mechanics have to offer. And then everyday feels the same.

Love watching you play Rust, but I can’t play it myself. My last experience was on xbox Series s which made the game 100 times more playable, but me and a friend started on a map that just wiped and got raided as we started building the base. We had maybe 100 stone and some canned food, but that was all. We had a mostly twig base and no weapons. I have a good PC now, which I got because I’m in college going on my 3rd year in the Game Art and Development Bachelor’s program, but I haven’t played Rust on PC yet. Watching these videos makes me want to change that though, so keep inspiring people like you do for me!

I have to say that I LOVE the videos that have a story so much more than the ones that just end after day two or something like that. SebbyK does a really good job at making a video that has a story. There needs to be a struggle and a comeback and a villain and sometimes an alley that turns into a new friend. Having the whole story wrap up with them being able to get redemption by raiding the enemies base is always a great ending. But I know that takes a lot longer to make and edit one of those videos, but I will say they are MUCH more enjoyable. Anyways, this was an awesome video, I always love the solo videos, but the times when you partner up with friends is also awesome too.
