10 years of making the game easier and easier, horrible devs ruined this game.

High tier (HQM) building skin would have been great with the brutalist, but now that it’s stone I’m hoping that the skin, if we get any, will be like salvaged tank parts-look. Its hard to think what sort of skin it should be but real life tanks arent just chunks of steel but has titanium, depleted uranium, ceramics and more – in layers to make it armoured against rockets etc. Colours should be dark green/blackish like a bradley, but obviously with white wings/text on it, they could go with a forest green, a dark brown/sand, a light brown/sand, a desert camo, snow camo(with black text and wings) and a navy grey and/or a blue skin(like some Lebanese tanks). Would be awesome with a base covered in old tank parts

They made watter playerground, they made air playerground now i want see them working on desert (some kind of oasis or something making it more fun, also bring new element in to snow… everyone living in green area.. rest of these places need focuse my opinion… new animals or plants wound be nice too.. what about option to plant trees? Rust has huge potentional to grow… we can see huge maps working even with such a huge amount of players….

I wish Facepunch would expand on the cooking part of the game. What I mean by that is, being able to make stews with animal meat and mushrooms found in the wild. Or even make pies with berries found in the wild. Also adding a Leather Jacket, Deer and Bear Headresses too.

If only they would have left the recoil alone. 😂

i feel like there need to be minor changes/update at starting times of a new wipe like the old barrack, server map shown on server browser these such changes may bring more active players to the game. To give reason to start a wipe.

What would I like to see? AT NIGHT. lol they should just fix the darkness, or at least make it so you can see inside buildings in the daytime. Besides that I want them to get rid of the tech tree.

the new shack was a massive buff to small groups early game, no need to worry about constructing the whole base and making lots of noise, just plop it down

They also changed the admin grant features. They all reset when the recent updates happened and soon as you grant a player Mod/Admin they don’t have to log out and back in anymore to have it take effect.

Galaxy Quest is definitely more mature stuff than Rust

I’ve been playing rust since it’s early Alpha builds, and Rust has definitely come a long way since those days, and the only map was Hapis.

I remember when Bears and Wolves were once called Rad Bear and Rad Wolf, and colored red, they were super aggressive too they’d go for you at 10m of approaching you, they were also super buggy too, because they could run through cliffs and rocks, and certain monuments use to be called Rad Town, there were no supermarkets, or caves to speak of, you also had roads as well which spanned the entire island in a loop. And one of the best places to build was in a crevice between two mountains on both sides of an intersecting road. As you were able to build on roads, so people would build large Wooden Walls with Wooden Gates, along with spike barricades placed around the front and back entrances, and of course their base built in this little compound with tall towers on either side to shoot from.

The metal bases looked so different to what they are now, you use to need Sheet Metal in order to have a Sheet Metal base, and you could build iron bars. Also Tool Cupboards weren’t even a thing then either I don’t think, so anyone could build up and try to get into your base through an open window if you had one. It was pretty common back then to see people build massive square metal tower bases.

I do wish Facepunch gave us access to Legacy Rust just to show what it use to be like.

A problem i think is going to happen with the wooden shack is when someones in pvp and are about to die they can slap one of them down to heal and turn the tables

Dude… I am so mad at whatever they did to some tools…. the stone axe and mace, and rock (that I’ve noticed so far) done have follow through. I’ll be hitting something and next thing I know, I didn’t hit anything because my tool stops short. Hitting street signs with Lucille just got so much more difficult.

One that will accept charcoal, water and car parts. It would give more power, the better car parts you insert. You can add some industrial piping, so you can add more charcoal from boxes, a water-hose slot and possibly a switch slot (just like in the furnace)

Love the old legacy shack and furnace. I didn’t use the shack but saw a couple people using them I think it’s perfect way to get start on 600+ person server

As for what I’d like to see in the game? Something game-changing and absolutely epic. Maybe a perfect food that gives 100 Calories and 100 Water. Would need to be a filling foodstuff, with a saucy component. Something like maybe a few Steak and Ale pie. Or at the very least Cottage Pie. We have potatoes and meat. 20 Metal Frags for a pie dish, and then it can be baked along with meat and veg into various flavours of pie.

A kill-cam for the victim. So once I die, I can see the shot from the actual perspective of the shooter. I think that will shut up a lot of the “He could never have seen me / made that shot / etc.”

An armoured engine module.

Less on Facepunch’s side than the modding community, better MySQL support.

Get Nexus working nicely.

Up the team sizes in code. Stay the same in Vanilla, but give community servers the ability to natively support teams larger than 8.

Shadowfrax, it’s been a cracking ten years [albeit I just missed out on Legacy], but I’d just like to thank you for your service over these past years, and for helping keep us updated on the inner workings of a game we love – albeit for sometime I stopped playing but always kept ontop of what was happening because of your videoes! If I could send you all the pies – I would good sir!

As for what I’d like to see in the game: Barbed Wire [as a multi-functioning build item].
Could be used to beef up your defences [placing them like you would christmas lights] – or – could be used for agriculture/farming animals by encapturing them.

Something for both PVPers and Roleplayers.

Though, a trapdoor wouldn’t go a miss either! Quite simply – a double door frame on a different axis – for that would definitely please the trapbase creators/game makers [squid game anyone? :D]

Where, if further food mechanics are to be brought in the game [and getting closer to making pies :D], then a chicken coop where you can catch/store chickens and gain eggs over time [x amount of chickens, over y amount of time, produces z amount of eggs/resources], and could use chicken scat as fertilizer [alongside horse poop].

What is my rust wishlist:
Pre-HDRP style trees that block vision more effectively. Especially for the tundra trees.
More bullet drop for the AK.
A choke mod for a shotguns (slightly less pellet damage, less pellet spread).
Construction or a wall tier made out of bone fragments.
A full sized semi fragile and clear window wall that pops into a double door frame.
A deployable mortar.
A mountable machinegun module to deploy on a car flatbed (with some kind of rudimentary anti aircraft sight system).
Small buildable spots in metro OR train cars that can be claimed for building and secured with doors. Claimed train cars cannot be locked into locomotives without hitting a switch inside.

I would like to see a bicycle or a jetpack next year.

i think the player ragdoll made everything worse because every body now stretches out like a toy, this update has caused me and my friends multiple blue screens as well with the cause being EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe failing

Am I the only one who thinks all building skins should be FREE? Since they literally change the building design, having to pay to have one look or another is outrageous because almost everything have paid skins in the game. Having to pay 50% of the BASE GAME for a skin is way too much, if the game cost was the older one (the early access version) I think those prices for skins makes sense, but now? The game isnt cheap anymore, and having to pay almost half the base price for any DLC and building skins is a terrible idea. But who will listen, they prefer the sound of cash getting iinto their wallets instead of the wellbeing of the game.

If you payed for RUST back when Rust Legacy was a thing you should get all legacy items for free.

So I finally got the legacy furnace skin. I suspect the three hours played timer does not tick while the player is in a safe zone. I parked mine in Outpost for three hours because I was still working at my day job and never got it. It showed up sometime later after I hung out in a legacy shed for a while… so there is that.
