I think the videos that you make find their strength in the story itself. There are millions of Rust videos depicting raids, counters, defenses but the reason why yours stand out are for the stories that they tell and how you tell them. If you were to add that at the end, yes of course it would be entertaining. However, the core of your video would lose impact. I don’t think it would be worth it to add that action to THIS video. You would have the crescendo of the story arc followed by a lengthy outro. Plus the added time it would take to edit and put in would make the gap between videos longer and no one wants that. I don’t think you would see much of a change in viewership if it had all the action at the end. Best of luck in your next adventure. Always enjoy your content.

mate there is a reason views are hella down , the quality of your videos has gotten worse and worse , from being the best to the one of the worse honestly , no story very forced narrative and generally nothing exiting or funny just bland gameplay mixed with a bit of commentary and narration to attempt a good story

OMG! When you made the sound effects for building at 1:24:30 I laughed so hard. Loved that!

Not every movie has to be “Return of the King” with 8 different endings. When you create a video, you have a good understanding of what’s important and not. The mere fact that if you didn’t tell us about the extra fights and raids, we wouldn’t be the wiser and still completely satisfied with a complete and cohesive story. With this video in particular, I liked you teaming up with someone you aren’t normally familiar with and integrating them with a IRL friend in Brocky. I’m not sure what you thought of that but as a viewer, I always appreciate seeing people such as yourself introduce the audience to different “characters” inside the rust universe.

That being said, I personally would love to see a Memeio or Oblivion collaboration in any style from trap base to complete Tom foolery.

The content is really going downhill. This video is probably one of my least favorite Stevie vids. I got bored watching this. Some things worth noting:
I don’t like how you consistently talk down to Brocky, too. I get you’re friends and all, but you’re kinda being a jerk to him.
You don’t talk to MarkPlayz like you talked to Brocky. The whole thing is very noticible in this video.
Another issue is your content and video quality are going down while the creation time is going up. In the last year, you’ve released 7 videos. 3 years ago, you were dropping stuff like every 2-3 weeks. For a content creator with 1.15M subs, you’re going downhill. That’s not me being a hater. Quite the contrary. I’m someone who has praised you and your skill AND your video creations skills for years. I associate you with being a “top end player” in Rust.

Stevie, you’re better than this. I hope you get back to your roots.

if you are doing everything yourself then i would rather have it as is instead of extending the video, if you find extra time and does not delay main channel videos then i would like to see it on the other channel, if you had an editor to help with some of the workload to reduce the time it takes to make the videos then maybe would like to see the 2,5 hour long video but if that makes the quality or story telling worse i would want to just keep it as is and progress the skill and quality in video making over time 🙂

It’s 1 hour and 41 mins long. The entire time, there’s never a conductor or train. It’s all about the construction of the train yard, the battle with other train companies and the side jobs you have to do in order to finish the building of said train yard.

Hey Stevie, I watched all the way and here’s my take if you want another source for what to do. I suggest the extra stuff (the raiding, counter, and pvp) after the story should go onto your second channel and here’s why. When watching your movies and your series you craft such beautiful stories and depth into them it’s hard to realize that, it’s a game, you are so good you make them so captivating and so invested that for someone watching it’s hard not to see this as a movie and not a game. But for someone like me who’d like to play rust and learn strategies to learn “what would Stevie do?” But that’s just my take, if you read this Thank you for the Amazing content and a small tip… Beware the Merchant👍🤙

I feel like you’ve ended this movie on the correct note closing it out with what happened between yourself and the now primary focus of the story being GG, However from the snippets of clips you showed it certainly seemed like you three had many more adventures and exciting times after this. Perhaps a lighter editing style and a slap up on the Stash could be the play and also allow others to see you’re not just a pretty voice. You could even have the title have a link to this video and that way people know that it was the continuation/remainer of what happened after all these events.

Definitely quality of the story over length of the story. Adding an extra hour of PvP to this video would have degraded the quality of the video and left me bored by the time I got to the end (if I watched to the end). Instead what you have here is a very high quality video with a great story that leaves viewers excited for the next video.

yk for sure the guy you guys killed that was crafting a lot of pistol bullets was sitting in his base, in front of his workbench crafting that ammo then was like “fuck this im going out to roam” forgetting he was crafting ammo, he spawns back in base to grab another mp5, to wonder where all the pistol bullets were, just to remember he was crafting it all and then logs off

@stevie regarding your question at the end: I personally would watch the whole story in one larger movie, be it 2.30 hours or longer. And wouldn’t mind waiting on it. Me (and I think most of your viewers) are watching multiple rust cc’s so we don’t run out of content between your uploads, but that doesn’t mean we forget about you in between. And when u drop that 5 hour long video, we will get snacks and watch that shit like it’s the latest marvel movie =)

However I think (not 100% sure, don’t quote me) financially speaking it might be more profitable for you to publish shorter videos more frequently.

So I think in the end it boils down to

Good call keeping the rest of the wipe after the plot concluded out I think. Every pvp montage creator just makes me fall asleep. Good stories need intrigue and you do it well without letting the pvp become the primary focus.
