You can’t see how stacking a bed with other objects is an absolute game changer? Normally, if you put a bed some place, almost half of that 1×1 is a permanent slave to that bed. You cannot do ANYTHING productive with that space besides have the bed there, from the floor to the ceiling.

You can hang an oil lamp above it I guess. That’s about it.
