Farming used to be awesome in Rust before FacePunch started vendor buy / sell limits.

300 cloth every 2 hours but I can farm scrap for 15 minutes and get the same amount from recycling

I always try to make a farm in the first day of the wipe, somewhere with no interest, and stash items along the way in case I die, I had a 3x4x2 farm full sheet with hq core and bunkers in like 4 hours as a solo, cuz u get WAY more resources from trees and nodes, and recycling with pure teas

And still no one will do because all of you rust players are lazy and rely on killing kids. Use your brain players. Work smart not hard

I built a farm on a x2 monthly server with about 20 to 50 active players. Literally everyone is buying teas and i built the farm above a cave. They havent noticed that the farm has the power from the top to the cave underneath. They mostly leave me alone since if they wipe me they lose the ability to my pure teas. Funny thing is that even is they get an offline raid message from my base people will defend my farm and give the tc back next day when i log. No one is interested in putting hours into a farm for berrys,corn and hennep so they are gratefull that i do it. Its also a max trio server and i started a month ago. I have to say i am pretty proud of all this in a month time 😊

Scrap teas are seriously underrated. Nobody is running roads after a while and a pure tea yields like 7 per barrel. With cars giving 8 per blue box and a mace one hitting all barrels that quickly adds up to an easy and fast tier two or even finishing off grinding to a tier three.

I say fishing is the goat in rust for scrap. Horse farm is second easiest.
Just go to fishing villa do quest and get free rod 10-20 grub which is all you need to start the process. Fish with the grub and gut the fish for raw meat and use it to get salmon and shark, viola insta scrap. Just make fishing base next to the fishing villa and add the doors under water to make raids difficult(more booms needed to blow up doors underneath). Buy diving set and you are all good for the wipe.

A horse poop farm is far better, just get 2-4 horse on a server that gives poop every 5-10 min and 2×2 base and no bps needed. All you need is few scraps to buy pickles from bandit or live near food spawn area like river or forest and you are all good.
What’s also great is you don’t have to take care them till food is empty. A mediocre Farming requires a tier 2 with least 2400 scrap spent on electronics and glass windows etc.

Me and my friend build big and comfortable base usually 4 x 3 x 3 and rarely get raided just because people think it’s a farm

But what if i want a 4 story farm how the hell could i stop raiders 😂😂

The thing about farming, it is never going to work the way it was meant to be because you will be an easy raid target, no weapons and that is why you dont see much of this stuff in the game…

Farms are good but mostly for clans, since there a lot of players and instead of farming with group of 10 ppl, you can go build farm and buff all your clan for 60%, so you solo will work as 6 ppl
