The Rust devs are amazing, i definitely think they could compromise on the half walls, so they cost as much as a full wall but have half upkeep. They can make bases so much stronger and Rust is a finely balanced game. They could also compromise and add a nice tart or crumble instead of pies.

Honestly i don’t get why in rust there’s no civilian things , what i mean by that is if rust is not in the real world or is what if you could see a plane in the distance not actually make sound but seem like a object far in the distance fly near by the island sometimes. I want a harvesting tool for the crops i grow. Harvesting crops with the circle menu is very tedious. I wish the sicle becomes usefull for that.

We have the half wall you can place a floor on. We also have the 1/4 wall that is just that, a 1/4 wall. Make it so you can stack them to make a half wall or a full wall & also place floors & so forth on them like other walls. I don’t see why this hasn’t been added because it should be. And because I code with Unity myself as a developer for Vega Conflict for Kixeye before they screwed over all the players & moved onto steam that is. I was bitterly against this & decided to collect my stuff & resign. So, this 1/4 feature is so simple to do, as it’s just adding the same criteria as the 1/2 wall & the full wall. I could do it in 20 minutes, so why not Facepunch!

Idk you can never “leave” rust, part of the ship part of the crew.

– I’d love to see further use of rope in the game. One element could be to rappel (as in rock climbing or as a swat style entry/exit of a building).

– On the not of rock climbing, imagine if the salvaged pickaxe could be used as an ice axe and climb rocks with it.

– Another idea for rope use, is to implement elevators that can travel through buildings with open floor frames.

– You could also make a lasso to use on horseback, where you can catch other players and trap them.

– You could make a rope glide, that can be attached in between towers of your base so you can glide from one side to the other (with gravity/elevation in mind of course).

– Simple cranes that can be used to lift stuff from ground level up to a given floor you desire – could be people, vehicles, crates with loot, etc.

I really dont want rust to add controller to the game because it will brake the game, its a game on steam that is meant for computer players not xbox or play station players

Bivys and tents for temporary base setups. It could be a place that grants comfort, can store some loot, could be hidden more easily in dense vegetation areas, etc. compared to a real build. Sometimes you’re gonna be off from your base for extended periods of time, and being able to set up a small temporary camp would be nice. To this you could also add custom camo covers (snow, forest, desert, etc). They will also act as a natural spawning point similar to a sleeping bag. They would also grant better resistance to weather, aka heating you up in winter biomes, and helping you stay sheltered from the sun in deserts and stay cooler.

Listen there is this game Planetside 2 it has better graphics than Rust yet over 5000 players can play on one map with ground and vehicles with constant pvp and combat action and the game never lags even on potato laptops and computers….. How about you stop adding birds and grass motion to the game and change the ENGINE so that everyone can play Rust not only rich players who can afford top RIGS…..Honestly we don’t want grass birds and waves, we don’t need tree movement….We want to enjoy Rust on any rig and platform….Hint?

Do people actually think this game is gonna get a console release? I feel like it would be impossible for this game to get an ESRB Rating, what with all the nudity and cannibalism.

Even ignoring that aspect of it, just designing this game’s control scheme around a controller seems difficult, and the amount of work that would go into porting it well, just to end up maybe selling a few additional copies feels unlikely. As it is, this game still just feels like a massive beta, I have trouble imagining that being desirable to any of the major console companies…though at this point it seems like they will accept just about anything anymore after the last time I looked at the PSN store.

I am all about consoles, but rust does not feel like a console experience.

Rust is a very good game but if you are rather a pve player you will quickly go around I mean you just can do and redo the monuments it’s boring the tank is easy to kill, you walk nothing attacks you I do not know it could have added bandits or drone on the road but its bored to play on a pve server

The actual roadmap is much better than this suggestion board, it has some great visionary things in there like a stable system allowing Rust to be played without wipes or linking many islands together so you can take a boat to go to another server… these suggestions are just little perks and nothing gamechanging or visionary finds its way there.. they should have sticked to the roadmap
