tbf I feel like it’s allowed to rip off xiv as it’s YoshiP, and the xiv influence is *very* clear in a lot of aspects of this game.

I also think benedikta is such an interesting character. Moreso in retrospect watching you play through it, than I did on my initial playthrough. I’m still not fond of all the choices they made with her, but I think I can appreciate them a little better now. During promos I was sure she was going to be my favorite, and then they did with her what they did. (And then try as I might not to, Bahamut ended up my favorite)

I’m excited for you to get further, and see the plot develop!

Really enjoying watching your playthrough of FF16 and Honkai Star Rail! also–(not a spoiler) being blessed by the Phoenix means that Joshua literally blessed Clive with its portion of its powers which is part of the tradition in Rosaria wherein the Phoenix blesses their chosen shield so no, Clive did not stole its powers unlike what happened with Benedikta here.

Holding off watching so I can get some bigger chunks of story in one go, but this is a great game to feature. It’s kind of a long road, but I think you’ll love it. 😎

As one of the dozen people who actually loved XV. It may have a gigantic amount of problems, but it gave us one of the best FF villains in Ardyn and I will die on this hill.
