I find it fascinating that FFX doesn’t have Titan in its roster of summons, but it also makes sense? because FFX setting is the one that’s closest to nature, to earth, however shattered and scattered it may be in Spiral. every summon is an embodiment of the original spirit’s… desire? character? or even its culture, with how Shiva’s ornaments are reminiscent of Guadosolam, and her coldness is not only due to the environment of Macalania’s temple location, but reflection of how Guado as people are perceived as noble and *cold* … a spirit of beauty, coldness, connection to death, as Guado are protectors of Farplane in their home.

so there is no need for a Titan fayth – he’s already seeped in everything throughout Spira. the spirit of the world, if you will.

Titan is one of those few Summons i think looks better the simpler the design is, so yeah, 9, 7 and the 2d games it is for me.

FF9 titan design reminds me of the style of Shadow of Colossus with eerie emotionless look of the face. It truly has this feeling of ancient old world power. Since it’s only its head and arm it makes it makes for a larger feel to titan since you know there is more just unrevealed. Very cool.

I know nothing of final fantasy but titan in 9 looks so much like he is just here to have a good time but is so large that he can’t help but be a destructive force of nature.
