Honestly this boss fight is lame compared to most of the others

sorry but it hurts not seeing you use your magic burst after every attack. light attack then burst after every hit for extra damage. and the best way to use torgal is timing it after the last burst for a precision sic or ravage right after the burst connects. it extends your combo immensely and gives you more options. also while your in combo you can still hold triangle or square to charge a heavy attack or magic attack.

Also please stop just randomly mashing. i know that’s a 14 instinct, mash the button as its close to coming off cooldown but this game takes cues from Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden: you dont need *perfect* timing, but even the same combo will be better if you dont mash, cause you DO preload your button inputs. That’s another reason you’re getting hit when you say dodge: you’re reacting to it, but the game already acknowledged you told it to attack. Attack canceling does exist, but it aint THAT godlike bro.

The attention to the lore and the way you can see timelines, relationships, battles and troops moving on the map as the story progresses… its chiefs kiss. The boss fights will go down in history. I would honestly say the boss battles in this game are the most epic ive played in any game. The set pieces, music, anime-esque epicness of them. Square really came with it in this game.
