Summons design is absolutely enhanced. Though personally I think the characters relationships were more enjoyable in FFXV. They focused more on making FFXVI epic as they did. The gameplay and combat is better in FFXVI. The thing I’m always upset about, is how XV didn’t meet its real potential. If they could have delayed it even more for a better outcome, it could be a game to compete with the best games. Though generally XVI will be rated higher than XV, I think XV was even more potent, at least in the story

Ff16 eikons are all one of the greatest designs i’ve seen

I love how ifrit upgraded. At worst it was man with horns, but in ff10s case it a baphomet were beast, top tier. 16s ifrit is just ff10 fused with gojira scaly kaiju design and man is he frightening.

Shiva is probably the absolute best design I’ve seen in a long time. She went from step on me woman in ff10, to just objectifyingly overt sexy in 13 and 15, and was redeemed in dominant ice queen 16. 14s shiva is also nice but definitely has some overtly sexy aspects in her design

FF15 design is clearly much more sexualised especially typical Japanese depiction of objectified & over the top sexualised female characters, whereas FF16 thankfully is more mature & catching up with more mature & modern audience

The one thing i got from comparing those two are how Ifrit and Shiva relationship in the new games they were lovers. Explaning why Shiva freezing Ifrit while kissing him.

In some ff games Shiva and Ifrit are married. I do like the idea that the two most opposite summons being the most compatible.

15’s Humanoid Ifrit and Bahamut both took a bit of getting used to but were very interesting takes on the summons. After how hands-off summons were in 15 it was great to deal with them much more directly in 16. Eikon fights were one if the highlights of the game. The weirdos crying about ‘not my Final Fantasy’ don’t have a lot if imagination apparently because a real FF fan would be crazy to not want to *be the summon*

Overall, the presentations are still better from FF15 imo.

The only better in ff xvi is titan. Also, I feel that the lore of ffxvi was the missing content of ffxv. If you look at the traillers of versus xiii, it’s all about nations and summons.

I prefer XV’s Shiva because of her blue skin. She actually looked like a fairy in that game. I also prefer XV’s Ramuh. The spikes on his forehead and the insane sound design of his bolts when Noctis summoned him were glorious. When he was revealed in the demo, I remember how everybody was smitten with him lol But I prefer XVI’s Titan. The face with the exposed skull and the bits that look like armour on his hands are fine as hell

You can clearly see that the FFXV Eikons were more human based from the design (except for Leviathan) while in FFXVI they’re more beastly at least the ones who always were beastly (Ifrit, Phoenix, Bahamut, Garuda)

As a FFXIV player you can compare the designs from XIV & XVI and they’re close, though Titan looks more like the Eden Titan and not the “normal” Titan, who’s just a big Chicken Nugget xD

個人覺得15比16畫面來的好 也好玩很多，16真的很想睡

I really liked how all the summons were more human like in FFXV but they didnt feel like they fit the tone of the game. XV looked great back when it was called versus 13 and the summons seen like they would fit that darker, more suburban tone much better.

Big ff fan here. Sadly this ff, besides having a good history, is just bad if compared with ffxv, not only today, but for the graphical and gameplay innovations it (ffxv) brought…. Shallow Gameplay, over simplistic overall scheme of managing the character, feels like a devil may cry and that’s it.

If this was not enough, the game seems to run in 2 fps… It’s unplayable. And if someone even think in tell me “oh but Zelda runs into 30fps and every body loves it”. Nope.

Zelda makes me angry too but even worse. It runs like shit and looks like shit.

I’m waiting that at least the framerate is fixed so that I can make my money worth (just a little…) and save the game… Otherwise there’s no way to complete the game having some kind of fun

What’s cool about FF16 Eikon battle in the demo is they are attacks from FF14. Titan stomping the ground is an attack called Tumult, which does area damage to all players. And the left and right punches are from Eden Titan in Savage difficulty. The Shiva sending icicles to the soldier is Ice Brand which does cone area of effect damage.

I too miss swimsuit model Shiva but it is what it is.

I pre-ordered the game, and i know i shouldn’t be talking about realism in a fantasy game, BUT I REALLY FEEL LIKE 16 SHIVA SHOULDN’T HAVE MAN MADE CLOTHING, her vestments should’ve been made to appear as made of magical material or just made with just literal ice, it heavily breaks my immersion looking at her and seeing man made cloth on what i perceive is like a celestial being.

Ifrit: in every FF before 16 ive always found the humanoid look to be awkward especially with the clothes he wears, but this new dragon look with human stature looks SO much more badass.

Phoenix: not much to say here, its already pretty hard to mess up a beautiful bird of fire but 16 demolishes any past representation of the phoenix.

Shiva: def an upgrade not just from 15 but even from the 2020 trailer. the hair and face are much better.

Titan: the 2nd biggest upgrade after Ifrit. the greater complexity in his form and the rocky formations around his body and jaw make him terrifying in the most badass way possible.

Ff16 shiva is serious ice queen. Upgraded from all previous forms
