JP devs need to get with the times, most PC users on high end GPU’s are typically using uw monitors, a script kiddie usually pumps a mod out within a week but cmon, cant be that hard for actual devs to put the code in pre-release.

You set the DLSS quality with the resolution scaling. Setting both the max and min to 66% is the equivalent of quality DLSS. If you do it like you did with 100% max and 50% min, it will use dynamic scaling.

Keeping Display Sync on V-Sync will lower your performance. Switch it to VRR for better performance since you have a Freesync monitor.

Man I must be an old fart because the PS5 version looked and played great to me. I played the original ff7 on a crappy CRT TV while moving as a kid. This felt like what my imagination held at the time. Could the PS5 been better, yea but it was still fantastic.

The resolution scaling while using DLSS is literally the different modes. 100% is DLAA, 66% is Quality, %50 is Performance and 33% is Ultra Performance. There’s weirdly no “Balanced” equivalent, but aside from that it’s all there.

It doesn’t matter what you play on, the game is amazing, just enjoy. Played on PS5 slim at launch on performance mode and enjoyed the hell out of it. Not everyone wants to spend 1500-2k on a PC.

Also, use borderless gaming app to make the game ultrawide. (Not sure if it works or not though, since its the only option thats available because flawless widescreen app not yet has ff7 rebirth).

The pro version runs great

You can get 4K PSSR graphics at 60FPS on the PS5 Pro for $700 with great optimization and stability, or spend like 3-4x as much on a PC to get that. You need a NVIDIA 4080 and like a Ryzen 7 5700 to just to play this game at 4K60. That’s over $2K. No RAM, controller, etc. included.

PC is fine for gaming, but they are tearing gamers a new one with the insane GPU prices.

I keep watching all these comparisons between consoles and pc and i can’t believe besides FPS differences how close they are in terms of graphics, like you can barely tell there’s a difference nowadays (unlike back in the early days where in the PS3/360 era there was a substantial difference in graphics ) and yet i keep hearing from YouTubers “the PC clearly is a much better version” like the quality mode on PS5 is almost literally the same only at 30fps. The Pro version of Rebirth looks amazing by the way
