I don’t even realize it was already released on PC, I mean what did they expect? The initial hype was died before it’s even released on PC, hope they learn something about timed exclusives
I don’t care about FF16. I didn’t care about FF7 Rebirth either. The action style gameplay doesn’t appeal to me. When I bought and played FF15 for PC I enjoyed it in a lot of ways but it wasn’t an RPG in my eyes it was more of an action game. I was not playing FF15 for the combat mechanics that’s for sure. Octopath Traveler is far closer to what I enjoy. Squeenix needs to get back to basics with the FF series. Their only success is their MMO which is a decade old now.
If you dig far enough back it turns out that the “source” for this is some random spanish guy’s twitter post. i.e. worthless.
But if it turned out true I wouldn’t be surprised. FF16 is a generic hack & slash that is propped up by the FF brand’s iconography and a sad excuse for an RPG.
I think we need to realize as gamers that we are not just consumer, we are backers almost shareholders of the company, we are the life blood. And although we don’t always get what we want, we can’t be children about it either. We can tear down companies that have been giving us amazing works of art, soon all that will be left is gacha games, only cuz they rip out pockets apart. Yes there’s things we don’t like, but taking risks and having good faith goes a long way. Square has its faults yes but we can let our voices be heard and also give them creative freedom to break out the box and enjoy making their ideas come true. We can’t just box them in and then hate on them when they experiment. How else are they to grow and also enjoy making games for us.
Theres also the body type 1 and 2 debacle and people finding out about DEI and “sensitivity” consultants involvement in Square Enix so that undoubtedly has soured a lot of people.
It’s an OK game but not a Final Fantasy game. Would have been a LOT better if it had straight up dropped all RPG elements and turned into a fully fledged DMC clone, but they just had to try justifying the “Final Fantasy” name on title
Not surprised to see the game flopping on PC after seeing all of the negative reception after the console release. It’s literally no different than what happened to FF13
-Remember when FF story is not a fan fiction alternative time line multi verse marvel phase 4 garbage?
-Remember when FF still an RPG series and not DMC clone?
ff francise alianate its fan base.
in hopes to bring some new ones they drastically change gameplay every time they release a new game. in the end final fantasy loses most of its player base

Morons put Denuvo on it thats why it bombed

The game can barely be played with its high requirements, and it missed its chance just like 7 Remake. This needed to be multiplatform day 1.

Their PC requirement are so high. Why I buy game that I can’t play.
i think the ‘fans’ will miss them only when the company goes bankrupt
