So morbols are a recurring monster in the FF franchise, and are greatly feared by veteran players because in the older, turn based games, you couldn’t dodge Bad Breath. In those games, Bad Breath was TERRIBLE, not because it did heavy damage (usually didn’t do any damage) but because it would inflict Blind (half your physical attacks automatically miss), Silence (which makes you unable to cast spells), confuse (which makes your party attack their allies instead of the enemy), and poison (which causes damage over a period of time, sometimes a little damage each “tick”, sometimes a lot), as well as other status ailments depending on the game, and you had to be pretty over leveled to beat them quickly. Getting hit by Bad Breath was SUPREMELY annoying because it was usually a matter of luck if you were able to recover and defeat it, or just kill yourselves and get a game over.

Oh wow, someone who is REALLY new to FF, not just never played a game.

I’m playing the game myself right now and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’ve only had a few slowdowns.

However, the story isn’t as easy to understand as you might think and offers a few twists within the story. I hope you have fun!😀 I use a Game pad to play.

This is exciting and I noticed you’re playing Mass Effect. Mass Effect and Final Fantasy are the two games I could binge watch for years without getting tired of watching other players experience these titles. FF16 is a great introduction. Would also love to watch you play FF7 someday.

The game looks amazing…very violent…but amazing and you are awesome with the combat…could I just mention to remember Q when enemies staggered…

@basicwitgirl hey Basique. So, with the FF (Final Fantasy) series, there will be many constants. 1. Chocobos are the series Bird. 2. Magic is always around. 3 There is always someone named Cid. 4. The money is primarily Gil. 5. The stiries are well written and can be heart-wrenching. 6. Shiva, Titan, Phoenix, etc… are generally always in the series in one form or another. I’ll add more if i recall anymore LoL. Im glad you’re enjoying FF 16!!

Dont forget your special move using Q. There is a cooldown. But use it during stagger for tremendous damage.

Final Fantasy series is fantastic. Great stories, characters, fantasy worlds and soundtracks all with great variation in themes. FF16 is a fantastic game but not really as the other ones in tones or gameplay.

The clothing in this word is made out of a material called steelsilk. Which is exactly what it sounds. A material as tough as steel yet soft like silk. So them outfits aren’t really uncomfortable 😂. I think is great they even thought of something like that.

This game definitely strays away from the strategic aspect of other Final Fantasies but they did such a good job with the story, music and cinematography.

please, play FF 7 REMAKE after you’re done with this one, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played!

Ohhh I love this game! It’s one of the best in the series IMO. But she should definitely play Final Fantasy 10, that one has been my favorite since it came out, really wish they would do a remake of it like final fantasy 7 which is also a must play! But yeah when 16 came out I couldn’t put it down, the story had me hooked and the cut scenes were amazing as well as the battles with the dominants. Also, Sid is one of THE best characters in a Final Fantasy game, hands down. Dude is a saint and a legend, love him.

My condolesance if you start with that one , its really not a final fantasy game unfortunately , but maybe youll like it !

In FF14 there’s a sidequest storyline where some chobobo hunters end up making food out of one bird some poachers killed, to respect the life lost by leaving nothing wasted.

Final Fantasy actually got me into reading and creative writing. I wasn’t much of a reader in school until we played Final Fantasy IV (known as II back then). But because it was all text, I had to read in order to understand the story! I fell in love with the series, and some of my very first fanfic stories were about characters from Final Fantasy IV.

Ohhh this is gonna be fun!
– XVI is by far the least ‘family friendly’ of the Final Fantasy games. The older ones are far more subtle with the innuendo, this one they wanted to lean more into the mature audience.
– “Is he the dominant? She definitely seemed like the dominant one *wink*” had me hollering. So true though.
– the game’s main theme song, played when Clive and Jill are on the balcony, is so so beautiful.
– Ben Star’s voice acting for Clive is out of this world honestly but so is everyone in this cast, it’s maybe one of the best voice acted games I have ever seen.

Looking forward like hell to your playthrough of this! And also, a small suggestion for other Final Fantasy games to play – Final Fantasy X is truly wonderful and will emotionally destroy you 😀
