Need a MOD to make Clive run faster, my only criticism that effects the experience. This game is amazing on PC, I had it on PS5 and didn’t enjoy it, in 32:9 120fps, fighting system is fun, switching in between eikon powers. The story is good, its not great maybe a bit predictable but still entertaining and the environments are gorgeous. This MOD changes the experience 100%. GOW Ragnarok also released recently and that has support 32:9 out of the box, the experience on that game with no MOD is great! Dont need to buy Sony consoles anymore if they keep releasing their hits on PC. PC Mater Race!

Get yourself the Twitter Control Panel extension for your browser. It will help you default out of the algorithm back to who you follow, like old Twitter, and you can even turn off all the engagement numbers and I strongly recommend that, it’s hard to describe how much easier it is to appreciate a post without looking at how many likes or retweets it’s received.

to sum it up.
mod that remove the FPS cap in cutscene and niche monitor types fit.
FF16 dosent sell much in reguards to console and people on social cancer laugh that a year+ old game that requier hardware not everyone able to meet don’t fly out the window with steam sales.
rebirth also don’t sell well on consoles and likely wouldent sell alot on pc being late with the port (if epig will not try to make it store exclusive to further stagger the PC sales…. again)

people that grew on RPG FF still dont like the online games and action games despite the endorsement and aprooval of the FF series creator.

One of my few issues with FF16 is that you can only use a Max of 6 Eikonic Abilities at once. It restricts combo potential. Can there be a mod that allows you to use more?

this “mandatory” mod, I dont see anything wrong with the game currently. I get 100 to 120 fps everything at max settings. The 30 fps cut-scenes don’t bother me at all. People just like to complain I guess.

ofcourse the profit margins arent gonna be what they would expect. They made the games PS5 exclusive for like a year, completely cutting off any PC gamers. they couldve also made it available to Xbox to broaden their market. Platform/console exclusives will not sell as much

Any reason why the mod wouldn’t work? Downloaded. Extracted to the main FF16 folder, loaded it up at a cutscene and nothing. Went into the INI file thinking it had to be turned on and it wasn’t, but changed the FOV from default to 40 and loaded back up, and nothing.
Pretty confused (only reason I’m here lol)

I know you mentioned about the mod that also supports Ultra Wide but if the game doesn’t support it natively I won’t get game. Some people may also feel same so maybe they should add UW support so they can get more sales.

The game runs terribly for me all the time, not just during cutscenes. There are places it runs decent and places where i need to go from 4k to 1080 at low settings to be able to move in game. I have a 3080,i9, 32gb of ram. Is it just me? Anyone got some ideas that could help me?

The mod is great, however I only got it to work by having my resolution set to 2560 x 1440p and my main resolution is 3440 x 1440p. Hopefully the mod gets updated so it supports 3440. At 2560 x 1440p the aliasing is more noticeable.

I am really unwilling to pay to full price and find mods to fix the game. 16:9 Enix doesn’t even support ultrawide.

Are the sales of FF on PC and Xbox worth more than a exclusivity contract with Sony? Because there’s a reason they aren’t yet released on other platforms day one.
It’s a risk for Square Enix and maybe what they get paid it has been comfortable for them and maybe it’s not enough anymore

considering the numbers FF15 and FF7R did on PC when they came out, FF16 is actually doing great, and even if the numbers werent good who cares, being exclusive doesnt make a game better for anyone beyond console fanboys, being on PC even if it sold poorly would still be good for the consumer and company who wants as much money as it can get

I usually don’t bother with mods, but it’s so necessary here. I have a 4090,and going from a beautiful buttery crisp experience to a snails pace during cutscenes does a huge disservice to the game and it’s fans. Such a bad ass game, I really don’t understand the thought process here.

If they release game on pc, ps5 and Xbox at the same time i think pc game are more profitable then ps5 and Xbox because PC game are only available in digital version now so you have to purchase it, and one purchase for one account. PlayStation and Xbox still available in dise format you can purchase and sell it so, second hand dise are available you don’t have to pay full price on retail store and online.

The mod is great, but it seems that some cutscenes are still 30 fps and 16:9 and sadly still jarring. It’s sadly not perfect

so i tried what yo said and it didnt work. anytime i stream the game is still very framedrop/laggy anytime i enter a battle, but will work just fine when i dont stream. :/

For people with low end cpu and gpus buy lossless scaling for 7$ trust me it’s not perfect but it’s a great help for demanding games!

Same with VIII, same with IX, same with X.
I hadn’t played VII since the 90’s, despite that I didn’t even finish Rebirth.
XVI isn’t even a FF game.

Hmm 22k for a concurrent steam player base isn’t that good. The fact that GoW 2018, Ghosts of Tsushima, etc have been stuck on console longer and had a bigger count says a lot. How well did FF7:Remake do on PC? If it did well, this sadly might cause SE to delay releases on PC even longer to create pent up demand if they ever do console timed exclusives again. Persona 5 did very well and that was on console for a long time.

Thing is im sure a lot if not most pc gamers also have a PS5. Most people I know have both as well as switches. Most of us even have xbox’s we just don’t use them. We just bought ff7 on Ps5 and some might double dip, but most aren’t. Me for example if it gets under 30 and especially under 20 i will prolly buy it again, but im not otherwise. Had it come out on pc to begin with i’d bet half or so would have just bought it on PC instead of PS5. Yes, i’m sure there are plenty of pure PC gamers who would have bought it and just couldn’t, but i can’t imagine that number is honestly that high as if someone is a fan of these games they know they are always PS5 exclusives and have been playstation titles since PS1 (looking at my cracked FF7 jewel stacked jewel case) and could even have a ps5 just because of that. Just my guess.

I really can not fathom how in the year 2024, we STILL have ganes that lock 30 fps in cutscenes. I can almost understand on console. Because dropping from 60 to 30, while a little jarring, isn’t too noticeable. But going from 100+ fps to 30 fps is like getting whiplash.

I put that mod on first thing. My only complaint about the port was 30 fps cutscenes. Just cap framerate at 60 fps with framegen get 120 fps. On my 7900xtx is so smooth. I think framegen wasnt working on 120 fps on the demo.
