Never knew some of the earlier Final Fantsy music was this good. My first FF games was FF7 and loved every track until FF10 After the tenth game i felt like the music got consistenty worse. And never eclkpsed tneir earlier compositions.

John, I’m truly baffled by how insanely clean your playing is. In the entire 110 minutes that this video lasts there’s hardly one shoddy note in there. A truly beautiful testament to how well thought out and written this music is. My deepest respect and thank you for these amazing renditions.

Of all the amazing music in this collection, I think Matoya’s Cave stands out as one that’s better than it has any right to be. It’s the theme an area you go to twice for no more than a handful of minutes, but has somehow managed to cement itself in my mind as one of the best themes in the series.

Rose of May is probably also be my favorite character theme in the series.

So thank you for the gorgeous renditions of this amazing music!

It was a organ/woodwind cover whose album artwork looked like an ancient bust that would be in a church from long ago. I just assumed it was some old piece that had been written as a medieval folk hymn or something along those lines. I then heard your cover, John, and was absolutely flabbergasted as to how that song could be on a Final Fantasy game. I looked it up and surely enough, that song WAS written for a Final Fantasy game. It’s weird, when I was younger the prelude was nothing special to me. Definitely not one of my favorite songs, and never lingered on any title screens to hear it. Now that I’m older with 15+ titles of memories? Straight shivers.
