The only modern FF without cheesy ass voice acting. For that reason alone it is the best one.
cloud is made for 20 year olds.
Clive is made for 30 year olds. He acts and takes care of his traumas like an adult. He is mature and so is his relationships.
Gav is the best. And Vivienne’s VA is like butter. I want her voice as ChatGPT.
Clive is definitely not interesting, he’s completely aware of the shit he’s gone through and feels sorry for himself constantly and doesn’t let you the player forget about it, Cloud is closed off and more obscure… Granted, I’m only familiar with the remake version
Clive is far too self-aware and gloomy about it to be cool – i’m sorry, but I hate him😅
Cloud was 100% unique-I could not get enough of how he would stress the party out without even trying technically

after my first playthrough of 16, i’ve considered clive a top 3 protagonist in the series
Cloud for me is the best protagonist of FF, one thing that I love, apart from the things you said about him in the video, is that unlike other heroes in the saga Cloud has that dark side of Sephiroth and you are playing with someone that at any moment can harm someone in the group or turn against them. He is a character with many layers and very complex to analyze, you never know very well what he is thinking or what he feels, he is someone very silent and his actions speak more than his words.
There is a mystery around why Clive is able to absorb all the other Eikons that makes him somewhat interesting. Also, the voice actor elevates Clive to another level.
