You should have mentioned that FF14 has 2 leviathans. The first is the standard design, but the second is from the Eden raid series in Shadowbringers, and while it is “formed from the memory of the WoL”, it actually has 2 heads which makes it more unique. Similarly, Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Ramuh, and Shiva also appear in this raid series with alternative designs (titan turns into a fricking go kart lmao)
Looking forward to bahamut!
To this day I wonder why X does not have a water summon.
Would 2 headed work I wonder, or would that line up to close with most common interpretation of Hydra?
I am absolutely in love with the sheer scale that Leviathan had in Final Fantasy XV
There is alot of ways you can experiment with the concept of a monstrous sea creature.
16 had a leviathan?
You should’ve mentioned in Final Fantasy II, before summons were even a thing, it swallowed up the protagonists and its insides were a dungeon.
Leviathan my beloved.
Definitely feels like their approach to Leviathan is “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” but I do agree. I’d be curious to see what a leviathan in the style of 13’s robot/mech summons could be.
