Took me dozen of tries but the Maelstrom attack is best avoided by jumping. Realizing i could just jump out of some of these AoEs blew my brain out of the water (pun intended)

Once I figured out that you can start this section with Spitfire, had no problem at all. Just don’t get hit and immediately use Spitfire and Brimstone whenever they become available.

Isn’t there a move that Ifrit has that throws a giant fireball or something that they’re forgetting about. I’m pretty sure they can do that at any time unless it was only for one fight.

So while it’s not for this reason and it’s just because it’s extra DLC, there was a fun idea/theory that the reason Leviathan is the hardest fight in the game is because water counters fire on the elemental chart. Out of every primal, Ifrit is hard-countered by this one.

The fact that Woolie has made it all this way not realizing you can hold down Wildfire is impressive.

This fight made me rethink “Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby”

I am once again out here asking for Woolie to please watch the goddamn anime or abridged or something if he’s going to keep referencing Unlimited Blade Works.

Ive never seen that fight in normal difficulty, so i was always curious if that DPS check was as brutal as it is in Final Fantasy mode.

This fight 100% forces you to learn how to play as Ifrit or die trying

I do understand the rant about Clive feeling better to control and to do DPS races with than Ifrit, i share the sentiment but that wasn’t the reason why you had a lot of trouble clearing the DPS race. You don’t use the combo finishers at all, nor do you weave a triangle between each hit of square to do Magic Burst combos with either Clive or Ifrit, so I don’t think the argument really stands when you only use half your kit against something that asks you to go all-out.

That Troubled Waters segment was a DPS nightmare. I thought I was doing something wrong or I wasn’t a high enough level in FF mode. But no you just have to time everything PERFECTLY.

The Leviathan fight was awesome, but I felt it could of used 10-20% less health. Felt it dragged a bit and didn’t feel as a snappy of a pace as other Eikons, but that could just be me.
