Pro tip my homeslice, you can do a burst after every square as Ifrit just like regular clive including the 4th input which does even greater damage. And if you have charged slash unlocked you can chain that final burst into the charged attack.

Essentially anything you can do, and have unlocked as a part of Clive’s Ifrit abilities becomes your kit whenever you become him. GGs on beating Typhon, and if you like the OST it gets even better from here. Had us thinking every song in this BGM was medieval type stuff, NAH

Afro you can also use your limit gauge after you use all your abilities or some to charge them back faster. to like break their stagger meter so you can hit them with the stagger and then hit them with some of your harder hitting moves and then gauge so your normal combos after your run out of your moves do more damage

Day 30 of asking Afro to get the combos down and not just spam the abilities. they can be linked and have rotations. other abilities are finishers. Ifrit has different finishers when you combine light and heavy attacks

To your question at the beginning of the video I think as gamers a lot of us conflate gameplay with identity and that kind of thinking doesn’t really work with anthologies like Final Fantasy. This game is incredibly Final Fantasy in terms of themes, elements, tragedy, etc but the gameplay is so far from what is usually associated with the series that people don’t give it a chance. The game is incredible and even if it’s hard to believe you haven’t even come close to playing the craziest, tragic, and most anime parts of the game yet.

Aye man, just don’t complain about being confused by the story when you refuse to use ATL that was implemented for this very reason 😂
